Spring Creek Campground Reviews
Nice, remote campground, conveniently located just outside the city. Sits on a peaceful creek. The hosts are great. There are hot showers, laundry, playground for kids, and a big, historic barn tucked back against the woods, that is also available for group event rentals. Saw a baby deer trot through twice.
Jun 23, 2025 · mlrman 1100Treated very poorly by Camp Manager. We made reservations to stay at the campground until we could move into our quarters on Fort Campbell. When my wife booked the site, the female manager seemed helpful and said that ordinarily they do not check guests in on Sunday, but that she would leave our campsite information at the office for when we arrived, which seemed kind of her.We drove 12 hours from VA and arrived in the evening. When I walked to the office, the male manager approached me and said, “You can’t stay here.” I was a bit confused and calmly tried to explain about the reservations. He then rudely stated that there’s no way I could stay because our camper exceeded the “10 year” rule and that “the company would have his ass if I stayed at the campground .” We have a completely rebuilt 1979 camper, but I totally understand some campgrounds restrict the age of campers. We’ve experienced it across the country and have no issues with that requirement. However, that was not explained when we provided the make, length, and age of the camper when we booked the site. Moreover, it has been so long since I’ve been treated that rudely. As I turned the camper around to exit, I saw 8x vacant sites. Given the circumstances, he could have kindly offered to allow us to stay one night in order to allow us to find other accommodations. At the very least, he could have been polite and empathetic to the long day of leaving our home in VA.I cannot objectively rate the facilities or location, but it is hard to imagine wanting to stay at a site that treats people this way. I certainly will not recommend it to other military friends.
Apr 14, 2025 · Caleb LingWe had a great experience at Spring Creek Campground! It was our first time trying primitive camping at this location and it was peaceful, quiet, and surrounded by nature. The creek was beautiful my sons loved jumping in and exploring. The campground is well maintained and has great amenities, including a laundry room with washers and dryers, clean bathrooms, and hot showers. They also offer RV sites for those who prefer that option. The staff was very friendly and helpful, which made the experience even better. Plus, the campground is just minutes away from gas stations and stores, so it’s easy to grab anything you need.Five stars overall, we’ll definitely be coming back!
Apr 20, 2025 · M FamilyWe stayed in spring creek campground a couple years ago to visit our grandson and absolutely loved it. We made such wonderful memories and had to come back. What a refreshing change from glorified parking lots and dirt patches called rv parks, traveling across the country from coast to coast! Close to shopping, and set apart and peaceful, with the beauty of the river and surrounded by nature…. This campground has character and stands out for us as one of favorite places to stay. We’ve seen upgrades this visit and the people running it Lori and Airly (?) worked hard to accommodate our desires and are friendly and helpful, making this a great place to visit again and gain more awesome memories of time with our grandson. Thank you Spring Creek Campground!!
Apr 25, 2025 · Daniel WilliamsWe love stopping here on our way back back-and-forth between Georgia and Indiana. It’s so easy to get to from the interstate. It’s always peaceful and shady with nice long pull thrus and full hook ups. We love the creek that winds through the park, too!
