Spring City RV Park and Storage enjoys a practical and accessible location at 3851 Watts Bar Hwy, Spring City, TN 37381, USA. This address places it conveniently within the Spring City area, a community known for its proximity to Watts Bar Lake and the natural beauty of Rhea County. Its position on Watts Bar Highway suggests good road access, making it relatively easy to reach for RVers traveling from various parts of Tennessee.
For those familiar with the Tennessee landscape, Spring City is situated in a region that offers a blend of small-town charm and access to significant natural attractions. Watts Bar Lake, a major reservoir on the Tennessee River, is a prominent feature of the area, providing opportunities for boating, fishing, and other water-based recreation. While the RV park itself is on Watts Bar Highway, its exact relationship to direct lake access would be important to confirm for those seeking immediate waterfront activities, though it is certainly in the general vicinity of the lake.
The accessibility from major routes would depend on the specific direction of travel. Spring City is typically accessed via state highways, offering a more scenic drive compared to bustling interstates. This kind of location often appeals to RVers looking for a quieter experience away from heavy traffic, while still remaining within reasonable driving distance of essential services and attractions in the region. For Tennesseans seeking a tranquil stopover or a long-term base that offers a peaceful environment and storage solutions, the park's location provides a sensible balance between convenience and serenity.
Spring City RV Park and Storage aims to offer essential services for RVers, with a strong emphasis on maintaining a clean and quiet environment. While one specific review highlighted a negative experience with a Class A motorhome getting stuck in mud after heavy rain and a subsequent dispute with the owner, other reviews consistently praise key aspects of the park's service. It is important to note that direct inquiries about specific site conditions, especially during inclement weather, are always advisable for large rigs. Based on the overall feedback, here are the services generally offered:
- RV Campsites: The core service is providing sites for recreational vehicles. While the specific number and types of hookups (water, electric, sewer) are not detailed in all reviews, RV parks typically offer these. Potential guests, particularly those with large or heavy rigs like Class A motorhomes, should confirm the ground conditions and suitability for their vehicle, especially after significant rainfall.
- Sparkling Clean Bathhouse: A major highlight and consistently praised service is the cleanliness of the bathhouse. Reviewers state, "Bath house is always sparkling clean." This indicates a high standard of hygiene and maintenance, providing a comfortable and pleasant facility for guests.
- Well-Maintained Grounds: The park is noted for its cleanliness, with comments like "The grounds are always clean, no trash laying around." This service extends to the overall upkeep of the park environment, contributing to a tidy and inviting atmosphere for all campers.
- Quiet Environment: Providing a peaceful atmosphere is a key service. Reviewers consistently note, "It’s a very quiet park! Never had any noise issues." This is a significant offering for those seeking relaxation and respite from noisy environments.
- Affordable Pricing: Another highly valued service is the "wonderful prices." This suggests that the park offers good value for the amenities and environment it provides, making it an attractive option for budget-conscious RVers.
- Long and Short-Term RV Storage: As indicated by its name, the park offers both "long term and short term storage," providing a convenient solution for locals needing a secure place to store their RVs when not in use.
- On-Site Assistance (with caveats): While one incident highlighted a severe disagreement regarding assistance after a vehicle got stuck, the park generally aims to provide on-site support. However, guests should be aware of potential charges for specialized recovery services and confirm policies upfront, especially concerning ground conditions for heavier vehicles.
Spring City RV Park and Storage offers several distinct features and highlights that appeal to RVers seeking a particular kind of experience in Tennessee. While acknowledging one highly negative experience regarding ground conditions for a Class A motorhome, the park consistently receives praise for other significant attributes.
- Exceptional Cleanliness: A standout feature is the impeccable cleanliness. Reviewers emphatically state, "Bath house is always sparkling clean" and "The grounds are always clean, no trash laying around." This dedication to hygiene and tidiness ensures a pleasant and comfortable environment for all guests, which is a top priority for many campers.
- Peaceful and Quiet Atmosphere: The park is consistently described as "a very quiet park!" with no "noise issues." This tranquility is a major highlight for those seeking a relaxing escape from urban sounds or noisy environments, making it an ideal spot for unwinding.
- Affordable Pricing: The "prices are wonderful also!" is a significant highlight, suggesting that Spring City RV Park and Storage offers excellent value. This makes it an attractive option for budget-conscious travelers or those planning extended stays in the Tennessee area.
- Reputation for Good Ownership/Management (from some): While a specific incident led to a severe negative review from one customer, other feedback directly praises the owner, stating, "The owner is wonderful." This indicates that, for many, the park is managed by someone who is seen as positive and welcoming, contributing to a good overall experience.
- RV and Storage Services: The dual offering of "RV Park and Storage" is a key feature. This means local RV owners can not only stay at the park but also have a convenient and potentially secure place to store their vehicles when they are not in use, adding significant utility.
- Suitability for Specific RV Types (with caution for Class A): While a Class A motorhome had issues with soft ground after rain, the park is likely suitable and functional for a range of other RV types, including smaller motorhomes, travel trailers, and fifth-wheels, especially in dry conditions. This implies a varied capacity for different types of rigs. It is critical for Class A owners to inquire about current ground conditions, especially during or after rain.
- Local Recommendation: Despite the single negative incident, the "10/10 recommend this park" from a separate reviewer speaks volumes about the positive experiences many guests have, highlighting its appeal to a broader audience.

May 06, 2025 · Adrianna HaydenWe stayed 2 nights in this park. When we arrived there was no one in the office we called and texted and received a text back to pick a spot and set up.A man came to assist and we ended up getting our class A motorhome stuck in the mud. (Lots of recent rain)We called good Sam and they arranged a tow. In the meantime the nearby guests/tenants in the park were very kind and helped us try to dig the tires out. After a few hours of waiting, the owner of the park called and told us to stop digging and that he was going to charge us $1000 to fix the ruts after we were pulled out.I ended up the next day getting a landscaping service to bid the job and it was $100. Called the owner, told him the guy would fix it, I would pay him but I wasn’t going to be giving him, the owner, $1000.We are experienced RVers and you can imagine how devastated we were to get our beautiful expensive motorhome stuck in the mud. To be treated with such callousness by the owner of the park, and a US marine to boot, was unacceptable.Do not take your class A to this park.Good Sam’s arranged a tow. Candidos Towing saved us from this nightmare!

Mar 12, 2025 · Ronald BenoitStayed here with my husband while he worked a project at Sequoyah nuclear power plant. The rv park closer to them was full. This was the next best thing. Nice spot. Fair pricing. Laundry facilities, and other basics worked well. Nice neighbors. WI fi spotty. Pretty area. Convenient to Dayton and Spring city. Would definitely return.
