Sleepee Hollo RV Park - Kingfisher’s Premium RV Park

20862 US-81, Kingfisher, OK 73750, USA

4.0
A nice elderly lady owns the RV park. I don't fault her because it is run down and in bad shape. Neither do I hold her responsible for the loud highway noise that wakes you up all night long. What irks me is her greedy $45 fee! Filthy toilets and showers with no toilet paper. If I hadn't had a 100 foot water hose for the water faucet at the building, I wouldn't have had a water hookup. Mostly, this park caters to long-term RV setups. - Dave Derryberry

Its position directly on US-81, a major north-south highway, ensures excellent accessibility for RVers traveling through Oklahoma.

The accessibility of Sleepee Hollo RV Park is one of its most compelling advantages for travelers. Being located directly on US-81 means straightforward arrivals and departures, minimizing complex navigation for large recreational vehicles. While one review mentions "loud highway noise," this is often a trade-off for the convenience of direct highway access, which is highly valued by many RVers. Despite being on a highway, the park still offers proximity to Kingfisher's local amenities. Guests can easily access local shops, restaurants, gas stations, and other essential services within Kingfisher. The town itself provides a charming backdrop, with historical sites like the Chisholm Trail Museum and the Governor Seay Mansion offering opportunities for local exploration. • Clean Bathrooms and Showers: One positive review specifically praises the "bathrooms are nice" and mentions "hot showers." However, another review contradicts this, stating "filthy toilets and showers with no toilet paper," indicating a potential inconsistency or variation in guest experience regarding cleanliness of these facilities.

  • Reasonable Monthly Rent: A positive review specifically praises the "monthly rent is very reasonable," making it an economically attractive option for long-term residents.

  • Friendly Owner/Management: Multiple reviews describe the owner, Anna (and "Steve" in another source), as a "very sweet lady of the Lord" and "very helpful and understanding," suggesting a welcoming and supportive management approach. The presence of a "camp cat, Kitty," also adds to the friendly atmosphere.

  • Proximity to US-81: Direct access to a major highway is convenient for travelers, although it can also contribute to highway noise as noted.

  • Access to Kingfisher Amenities: Guests have convenient access to Kingfisher's local attractions, including the Chisholm Trail Museum, Governor Seay Mansion, and various local businesses, allowing for cultural and recreational activities.

  • Rural/Country Setting: Described as being "nestled in a rural, country setting," the park offers a quieter ambiance outside of the highway noise, with open spaces. (Note: One source indicates 918 N. Main, while others say 20862 US-81, suggesting a possibility of two locations or differing address interpretations, but the general area is rural Kingfisher).
