Shady Lake RV Park Reviews
If u are looking for a place to stay this is not that place. Worst place u can stay in sulpher springs the park manger has hrs from 3/6 when most people are working.her hrs change daily sometimes it’s different if u can ever catch her in the office. The internet was so in stable some days it was like playing phone tag to try and get a connection. If u have never drove through a rock curry this would be a prime example roads have pit holes the side of a pick up bed driving through the back area. And if I don’t mind smelling the sewer from the sprinklers I would look else we’re. There are multiple campers on site that people have left and do not live in currently and falling apart. Makes the park look that much worse. They tell u the fish in the pond are catch and release. There is no fish and if u don’t mind dragging Moss from the pound on every cast and dragging back what ever trash from the pound. I would highly recommend other parks. Multiple tenets on site that have the same problem with paying and never catch the manger in the office.
Jan 31, 2025 · Jeff CovingtonThis is one of the most beautiful RV parks in which we have ever stayed! We booked one night, on relatively short notice (5 days ahead), and really didn't expect much - just a one night stay on our way back to Austin from the Ozarks. However, we were very pleasantly surprised at what a little haven this RV park is! It is located a short distance from I-30 in a very serene rural setting. The staff was very friendly, as were all of the nearby campers and residents. We had site #1, which is right on the pond with a good sized deck and picnic table under a huge oak tree! We couldn't believe it! We had a beautiful view of the pond and surrounding landscape with plenty of shade. We loved listening to the frogs, ducks, and cicadas in the evening! All the hook-ups were great and easy to navigate and the gravel pad was level and well-placed for conveniently pulling through. We will for sure plan to stay here again next time we travel in that direction!
Jun 13, 2024 · Lenicia Gordon10/10 would not recommend. The pictures online do not match what the place actually looks like. The place looks like a junk yard there’s a bunch of old cars, grass is extremely overgrown. The spot we were given we could not properly fit our rv in because there was a car parked too close to the spot. We got into sulphur around 2:30 in the morning and had to spend the night at a gas station until another Rv park opened. We made the mistake of paying for our spot before we got there, the lady at the front desk said more than likely we won’t get a refund, $375 on a spot we did not feel comfortable or safe staying in.
Sep 23, 2024 · elizabeth lobsteinReally enjoyed this park. With Good Sam discount, total was $72 for two nights. We were placed in space #1, right next to the little lake and a small deck. Air-conditioned laundry room with lots of machines, and listened to the frogs all day and night. Only drawback is the highway noise, but it's a small price to pay overall. Two nice big trees shaded us nearly all day. Loved our stay!
Aug 15, 2023 · Laura KaiserI've stayed for a few months. Its a quiet place with nice scenery and shade. A nice pond. High speed Internet works, cable works, laundromat is available and most importantly, it's pet friendly. So your co-pilot is welcome as well. There's 2 dog runs available to let them play off the leash. It's a nice place to relax. Not a place to party.
