The park's name, "S. Hwy 287 RV Park," clearly indicates its proximity to U.S. Route 287, a major highway that facilitates easy travel north towards Dallas and Fort Worth, and south towards Corsicana and other parts of Texas. - RV Site Rentals: The primary service is providing spaces for RVs. Given its nature as a long-term option, these sites typically come with full hookups, including water, sewer, and electrical connections (often 30/50 amp).

- Utilities Included (for some): One review mentions "$600 per month including trash, sewage, water and electric," suggesting that utilities may be included in the monthly rent, which is a common and desirable feature for long-term RV park residents.
- Community Atmosphere (as perceived by some): One positive review highlights "Amazingly Awesome!!! Nice family's with the greatest kids, pets, and everyone here is just so friendly. Love It." This indicates that some residents experience a welcoming and friendly community environment within the park.

For Texans, particularly those in the Waxahachie area and the broader North Texas region, S. Hwy 287 RV Park and Storage offers a utilitarian and potentially suitable option for RV living, especially for long-term stays. While some of the feedback is mixed, it highlights certain aspects that can appeal to specific local needs and preferences.
One of the key reasons this park might be suitable for locals is its function as a practical and accessible base. For individuals or families who work in the DFW Metroplex but prefer the flexibility and potentially lower cost of RV living, its proximity to Highway 287 is a significant advantage. This allows for straightforward commutes and easy access to essential services and employment opportunities across the region. For those who own older, well-maintained RVs, the park's willingness to accept such vehicles fills a niche that many newer, stricter parks may not, providing a valuable option for a segment of the RV community in Texas.
The reported friendly atmosphere among some residents, with mentions of "nice families with the greatest kids" and general friendliness, suggests that a sense of community can be found here. For Texans seeking a more relaxed and neighborly environment in their RV park, this aspect can be a strong draw. The inclusion of utilities in the monthly rent, as indicated by one review, also offers a predictable cost of living, which is a highly desirable feature for those on a budget or seeking financial stability.
It is important for prospective local residents to thoroughly research and inquire about current conditions and policies, especially concerning rules enforcement and specific site requirements, such as needing long waste water hoses or power cords in some lots. Additionally, understanding the nuances of Texas Property Code Chapter 92, which governs residential tenancies and may or may not fully apply to RV park guests depending on the agreement terms, is prudent for any long-term renter in Texas.
In conclusion, S. Hwy 287 RV Park and Storage in Waxahachie, while having areas for improvement based on some feedback, provides a functional and often community-oriented solution for Texans looking for an RV park that prioritizes long-term stays, accepts a wider range of RVs, and offers practical access to the greater North Texas area. For those whose priorities align with these features, it can certainly serve as a suitable home away from home.

Jul 07, 2024 · John McGeeThis place will violate tenants rights, even if it would effect health and safety of a disabled individual. It's not a place for children.the $600 rent is excessive. Rules imposed/enforced are different for everyone. However, it is one of the few places around the area. Cash only. There's no privacy.youll need a long waste water hose and power cord in some lots. Note.TEXAS PROPERTY CODE CHAPTER 92..
Jan 19, 2024 · ShawnMcGee ProSeLitigantAssistantResearchServices (Solo)Totally awesome, all the people are here are real nice, and laid back. What I like the most is I can leave my stuff outside over night, and not have to worry about it being stolen!!!
Oct 11, 2023 · John McGee jrAs a last resort. Richard (owner) and Daniel (manager) we friendly and accommodating. That said, the place is in horrible condition. A burned out unit at the front. Clothes and furniture thrown out doors. Units not in storage as much as abandoned. Went here only because the sites at the state park in Ennis was closed for flood cleanup. I didn't take a picture. I teally don't want to remember it.
