Choosing Riverbend RV Park as your California destination offers several compelling advantages, making it a highly worthwhile choice for your next adventure.
First, the unbeatable location as a central hub for accessing the majestic Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks is a primary draw for any traveler eager to explore the giant sequoia trees and dramatic mountain landscapes of the Sierra Nevada. Being close to these natural wonders allows for spontaneous day trips and avoids the often-crowded campsites nearer the parks. Additionally, being situated on the Kings River with its own fishing pond provides unique on-site recreational opportunities that elevate the camping experience beyond a simple parking spot.
Second, the focus on modern convenience and guest comfort is a significant factor. Features like full hookups at every site, easy pull-through access for big rigs, and the inclusion of Starlink high-speed internet cater directly to the needs of modern travelers, including those who need to stay connected for work. The commitment to maintaining and upgrading facilities, particularly the clean and useful restrooms and laundry rooms mentioned in positive reviews, demonstrates a high level of care from the management. As one guest noted, they are “great hosts,” which contributes significantly to a positive stay.
Finally, the family and pet-friendly atmosphere appeals to a wide range of visitors. The fenced dog park and children's playground ensure that both two-legged and four-legged family members have space to enjoy the outdoors. The variety of recreational courts—volleyball, bocce, and cornhole—fosters a fun, community-oriented vibe, making it a great place to meet fellow travelers. While it's wise to note that, as in any campground, cleanliness can occasionally be an issue during peak times, the overall impression is one of a well-located, feature-rich, and actively improving RV park that serves as a high-value basecamp for any Central California journey. The quiet, tucked-away feel, despite the easy access to the highway, is a specific highlight for those seeking peace without sacrificing convenience.
Riverbend RV Park presents a balanced choice: a natural riverfront setting with a clear focus on comfortable, updated amenities, all while placing the best of Central California's outdoor treasures within easy reach.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1We have stayed here a few times now. And will continue to come back here when we are in the area. Restrooms clean and useful. Denny and Petra are great hosts. It’s right off the Highway but tucked away. We didn’t hear any road noise. We were in site 154. In our 2018 34 ft Bounder motorhome. Great job, River Bend. We will be back.
September 04 · Janet CarrollWe checked in yesterday. We were grateful they allowed us to check in a bit early. Unfortunately we found the bathrooms to be unbelievably dirty. Toilets, showers, floors all of it. Then we did some laundry and there was animal hair in all the washers and the floor was just covered in it. It had not been swept in a long time. I'm not sure if it was because it was after labor day or what. But the price was very high for a campground that looked the way it did. We were very disappointed.
September 04 · rebecca goodThe park is quiet, clean, and well maintained. The sites were spacious and spaced well. My only complaint is the layout for the pull through sites. They provide one electrical post per two sites meaning you are facing door to door with your neighbor, sort of like buddy sites. Limits privacy for your “front yard”. Not a deal breaker but I prefer sites that are back to front.
August 06 · Carole AllenOverall a nice RV park with good amenities for the whole family. Extra large park benches in each site. Most of the sites seemed very spacious both in length and width. Kids loved the playground and large concrete basketball area. Lots of shade and benches in that area as well. Large grass area with a volleyball net and a nice fenced dog park. Nice little creek running through the property with a handful of spots backed up to it. Large pond area that looks heavily stocked with Catfish if you’re into fishing. Office was closed the entire time we were there which was a bit odd for us doing mobile check in/out. They did have a text/phone number you could use if something was needed. It is right off the Hwy but didn’t find the road noise to be all that bad.Cons/Areas for improvement: roads around sites are very very dusty with the rock worn away so anybody not being courteous driving in/outvery slow would dust you out and it would be very muddy in winter time. Dumpsters were all overflowing with trashed piled around it too liked stated in several previous reviews.
May 27 · J BWonderful campground! We booked this late in the evening after our original RV site would not work. Riverbend was close by so we booked it and were pleased we could immediately check in electronically when we arrived at 8:00pm. Our site (107) is right on a creek. It is long, has nice grass for our dogs and is well maintained. There is a basketball court, playground, picnic tables and toys around the center space. There is also a laundromat and showers, but we did not use those. The campground is also close to Sequoia and King's Canyon parks and not too far from Yosemite.
