It's a place where you can unwind in a hot tub after a day of adventuring, enjoy the quiet natural surroundings, and connect with the unique spirit of the Texas Hill Country. This article will delve into the details of what makes River Yurt Village & RV Park an intriguing choice for your next Texas adventure.
River Yurt Village & RV Park is strategically located at 1627 TX-16, Bandera, TX 78003, USA. This address places it directly on Texas State Highway 16, a key route that provides excellent accessibility for RVs and vehicles of all sizes traveling through the picturesque Texas Hill Country. The highway location ensures ease of arrival and departure, making it a convenient stop for those exploring the region.
While situated on a state highway, the park is largely described as "very peaceful and mostly quiet," indicating that while some "road noise" can be heard, it generally doesn't detract from the tranquil experience. This balance allows for convenient access without sacrificing the peaceful ambiance that many seek in an RV park or glamping destination.
One important aspect of its location is its relationship to the Medina River. While the property is named "River Yurt Village & RV Park," direct river access requires a walk, and the river level can fluctuate, as one guest noted, "The river is a walk and it was low so we didn't end up getting in which I was sad about." This means that while river proximity is a feature, direct, easy access for all water activities may depend on conditions and the specific site within the park.
Furthermore, the park's location offers a great balance between natural serenity and proximity to local attractions. Downtown Bandera, with its numerous restaurants, shops, and unique Western atmosphere, is described as "a short drive" from the park. This allows guests to enjoy the quiet solitude of the park while having quick and easy access to the vibrant social and culinary scene of the "Cowboy Capital." Its position on TX-16 also makes it an excellent base for day trips to other charming Hill Country towns and natural wonders.

River Yurt Village & RV Park Reviews
The yurt experience was great and such a cute place! At night it’s lit up and super cozy to sit in the hot tub or in the other chairs outside. We saw deer and it’s very peaceful and mostly quiet but can hear some road noise. The river is a walk and it was low so we didn’t end up getting in which i was sad about. They provided coffee but was an issue when we asked for more and they wouldn’t give us more toilet paper. We paid a lot for this “hotel” but they will not provide the items that should come along with at no extra charge or because you ran out, it’s common sense!! so make sure you have some extra and probably towels and bug spray as well. For the most part we had a great stay. The town is a short drive and lots of restaurants m, but we cooked at the yurt a lot. Have fun and enjoy!
Jun 03, 2025 · Kaci MyersAwesome place! They let us park for the solar eclipse and they were so friendly. Upon arrival they asked that we don't play loud music and to not leave trash out. So expect a nice and quiet time while here. The owner showed us one of their yurts and they are gorgeous! They are newly built and they also have awesome decks with ample seating. The owner was kind enough to let us watch the eclipse from the deck of an unoccupied yurt. They are also dog friendly!

The family had a wonderful time together. The Hot tub was a great addition to the place. We all enjoyed it. The kitchen had all the basic dishes and condiments needed. The bbq grill had wood, lighter and necessary tools. The swings in the tiki huts were so much fun! Great place for fishing as well. Overall a must go experience!
