River Edge Tiny Home Village Reviews
After now living here for just over 7 months, I can share honest feedback on being a resident. Relocating here from the East Coast was quite a change! I first reached out to Jill via email to secure a lot for my Tiny Home that was to be completed in April 2023. Jill was the fourth tiny home community I had reached out to for parking. The previous three refused to rent space because I had two indoor dogs, two indoor cats, and two indoor parrots. However, Jill was open to renting me a space and allowed me to secure it five months in advance. I sure am thrilled I did! Not only do I have an amazing spot in the park, but in seven months time, I’ve made several really close friends, including Jill! The community here is supportive, diverse, respectful, intelligent, and involved in making each of our spaces our own. We have begun to have community gatherings, including sharing a watermelon from the community garden! I relocated to New Mexico sight unseen and have felt more at home than any previous state of residence! If you enjoy intellectual conversations, gatherings to share laughs and talks about sustaining the earth, then you would enjoy River Edge!
Oct 02, 2023 · Janet NewshamA very nice community with spacious lots for all kinds of tiny houses. Nice neighbors and a very nice town with plenty to do and see.
Oct 30, 2022 · Howard PolleyI love living at River Edge! I've lived and worked around the world. Been here for almost 2 years. If you live here you'll find a friendly community of people who help each other if needed, socialize with each other, greet each other on the street, chat, go to festivals, hike, and go out to eat with each other. Research indicates no robberies here, nor bodies floating in ponds that do NOT, by the way, exist in River Edge..although the Vista Del Rio MHP next door had ponds that have been dry for years. They never had pond-bodies either! Also hahaha there has never been a golf course at River Edge! There is one in Rio Communities but it ain't here. Got a good laugh out of that review.
Apr 07, 2024 · Barbara CoheaOwner / landlord meets every criteria for a slumlord that I could find on Google. Do not rent unless you have no choice, and even then have a back up plan. Also you can both see and smell the local sewage treatment plant from the "park".Edit: Jill's (the owner) response below is a lie. I lived in that dump for far too long (over a year). Just look how defensive she is over my review. She is the kind of person who would pay for a good review to bury honest ones like mine. If you want to know more about it, look into the lawsuit filed against her by the Vista Del Rio MHP next door. I'm sure anyone over there would be happy to fill you in on Jill's shenanigans. I will also add that 90% of what is posted on the website for the park is an outright and deliberate lie.The "nice community" btw had several armed robberies in short time I was there. The only cool thing is the golf course if you like golf, but a dead body was found in the pond there too so...The only possibly good thing about living there is it means you aren't homeless.Keeping who I am private from Jill due to her numerous frivolous lawsuits against any who annoy her, but I briefly worked for her and lived in her park - so I do know what I am talking about.P.S. you will not get a penny of your deposit back without a fight.
Sep 28, 2023 · ValentineRented a mobile home last year from Jill the owner. Contract was in order. Manager and staff were friendly. Paid deposit, first month and last month rent as well as background and credit request.Mobile home was livable. Had a hand full of repairs needed to make it pleasant to live in. One of which was an non operational back egress door. I took up on myself to make more than 10 repairs on said unit while renting there. I was a good renter and paid rent on or before it was due. Left the place clean and in good order. When it came down to returning my security deposit there was much delay. After calling management numerous times, not being able to contact the owner (Jill) in person or by phone, it was very difficult getting my security deposit. In short it was somewhere between 2 to 3 months before I received it.
