The park's location provides excellent accessibility to major thoroughfares, including Highway 12 and Highway 160. This ensures relatively easy commutes to larger metropolitan areas: approximately 45 miles south to Sacramento and within a reasonable driving distance to the San Francisco Bay Area for work or leisure. This balance of being nestled in a tranquil Delta town while remaining connected to urban centers is a significant advantage for residents.
Within Rio Vista itself, residents of the RV park benefit from proximity to a variety of local amenities. The charming downtown area offers dining options, local shops, and essential services. The city is renowned for its outdoor recreational opportunities, particularly those related to the water. Boating, fishing, and exploring the intricate Delta waterways are popular pastimes. Rio Vista RV Park is equipped with a range of services designed to provide a comfortable and convenient living experience for its residents. As an all-ages RV community, it focuses on offering the necessary infrastructure and amenities for both short-term stays and long-term residency.
- Full Hookup RV Sites: The park offers sites with full hookups, typically including 30 and 50 amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections. This is crucial for RV living, providing all the essential utilities directly at each site. The park states it can accommodate RVs of all sizes.
- On-site Management: The presence of on-site management is a significant service, as highlighted by positive customer reviews. An attentive and responsive management team, as exemplified by "Felisha Foster" mentioned in a review, can make a substantial difference in the day-to-day living experience, facilitating smooth move-ins and addressing resident inquiries.
- Laundry Facilities: Convenient on-site laundry facilities are available, which are essential for long-term residents and provide a practical amenity for all campers. One review notes the laundry room being "wide open all night long," which may be an area for park management to address for security and cleanliness, specifically regarding stray animals.
- Picnic Area: A designated picnic area offers residents a communal outdoor space to gather, dine, and enjoy the California weather.
- Fishing Dock: Given its location on River Road and the proximity to the Sacramento River, a fishing dock is a valuable amenity for those who enjoy angling. This provides direct access to one of the Delta's most popular activities.
- Post Mail Service: For long-term residents, access to post mail services on-site is a crucial convenience, enabling them to receive mail and packages directly within the community.
- Pet-Friendly Environment: The park welcomes "four-legged family members," which is a significant service for many RVers who travel or live with pets.
- Garbage and Recycling Services: Standard waste management services would typically be provided, ensuring a clean living environment for all residents.

Prospective residents should always verify current conditions and the responsiveness of maintenance services directly with the park.
Rio Vista RV Park offers several features and highlights that contribute to its appeal for California locals seeking an RV living experience in the Delta region:
- Riverfront Proximity: Situated on River Road, the park boasts a location very close to the Sacramento River. This provides opportunities for picturesque views, immediate access to the fishing dock, and the overall serene ambiance of riverside living in the Delta.
- All-Ages Community: Unlike some RV parks that are 55+, Rio Vista RV Park is an "all ages community," making it suitable for families, individuals, and retirees alike. This fosters a diverse and inclusive living environment.
- Friendly Resident Community: As highlighted by a positive customer review, the park is home to "VERY nice and polite" people. A strong, friendly neighborly spirit is a significant asset for any residential community, contributing to a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.
- Dedicated On-Site Staff (as per positive review): The testimonial praising "Felisha Foster" for making the move-in process "easy, patient and kind" suggests that residents can expect supportive and helpful staff interactions, at least during the initial stages. This personalized assistance can greatly ease the transition for new residents.
- Convenient Urban Access with Rural Feel: The park offers the best of both worlds. It provides a quieter, more relaxed pace of life characteristic of the Delta, while being just a short drive from the amenities and employment opportunities of Stockton, Sacramento, and the Bay Area.
- Pet-Friendly Policy: Welcoming pets means that residents do not have to leave their beloved companions behind, which is a key consideration for many RV owners.
- Variety of Site Accommodations: With sites offering 30/50 amp service and the ability to accommodate RVs of all sizes, the park caters to a wide range of recreational vehicles, from smaller travel trailers to large motorhomes.
- Opportunities for Outdoor Activities: Beyond the park's amenities, its location in Rio Vista offers immediate access to popular Delta activities such as boating, fishing, and exploring nearby natural attractions like Brannan Island State Park and Grizzly Island Wildlife Area.

Rio Vista RV Park Reviews
My family and I just moved into Rio Vista RV park- we began looking at the property in October and from day 1 Felisha Foster made the process easy, she answered every question (sometimes more than once) and was patient and kind. Once we decided it was the right place she also made the deposit and the paperwork process smooth has possible. We moved in and we love it here! Thank you again Felisha for everything you really are great!
Nov 15, 2024 · Danielle GuptillI live at Rio Vista RV Park. I am now three days into a gas leak which hasn't been fixed. This leaves me with no heat, no hot water and no stove. I can't even boil water. The manager won't respond and the owners have a voicemail which won't take calls. Please, whatever you do, don't ever move here. The owners seem to not care about how this place looks or operates. The laundry room is wide open all night long making it a perfect refuge for stray cats and homeless. Having said all this, the people who LIVE here are VERY nice and polite. I love my neighbors. I have documented proof of everything I have said.
