Rio Viento RV Park Introduce
For RV enthusiasts and those seeking a tranquil and picturesque escape within California, RV parks offer a unique blend of comfort and natural beauty. These specialized campgrounds provide the necessary amenities for recreational vehicles, allowing travelers and long-term residents to enjoy the outdoors without sacrificing convenience. This article aims to provide a clear, engaging, and factual overview of Rio Viento RV Park, highlighting its prime location, the services it offers, and what makes it a suitable choice for locals and visitors alike.
An RV park is a dedicated facility that provides individual sites with hookups for recreational vehicles, typically including electricity, water, and sewer connections. Unlike traditional campgrounds which might cater more to tent camping, RV parks are designed specifically for the needs of RVers, often offering amenities such as laundry facilities, restrooms, and communal areas. Rio Viento RV Park, in particular, has garnered praise for its cleanliness and the welcoming atmosphere fostered by its staff. It caters to those who appreciate well-maintained surroundings and direct access to recreational activities, making it an excellent base for exploring the unique ecosystem of the California Delta.

Direct access to Highway 160 means easy navigation to and from the park, though some reviews note the last couple of miles on W Sherman Island Road can be a bit bumpy, advising a slow and careful approach for larger rigs. The area is renowned for its wind sports, being considered one of the best windsurfing and wing foil sites in the world, directly accessible from the park. This makes it a prime location for water sports enthusiasts.

We had a wonderful, month long stay at Rio Viento. The park is immaculate! The sites are wide, brick lined with grass around. Huge dog park and a wonderful community room. Not to mention across the levee is the Sacramento River. And the staff, Cheryl & Bruce, go above and beyond in their care for the campground and customer service. I wish all park staff were so great. We will be back.

Jun 16, 2025 · Cheryl JangulaVery clean and quiet RV park. All sites are done with pavers and level. Hosts are very nice, friendly and accommodating. The park is gated on the Sacramento River. It can get a bit windy at times. Didn’t use the restrooms or showers, but everything is very clean. The road leading to the Park is a levee road and very bumpy so go slow. It is located in between Sacramento and the Bay Area. Easy access to both. Will definitely come back as we have family in the area
