Mobile home communities, also known as manufactured home parks, are an integral part of the housing landscape in Illinois. They are regulated by the Illinois Department of Public Health, which oversees licensing and ensures various health and safety standards are met, providing a layer of protection and regulation for residents. This includes requirements for safe water supply, sewage disposal, electrical systems, and maintenance of roadways. These communities often foster a sense of neighborhood, where residents can enjoy shared spaces and a more manageable lifestyle. Whether you are looking to downsize, seeking an affordable entry point into homeownership, or simply exploring various living arrangements, gaining a comprehensive understanding of a park like Rend Lake Mobile Home Park is essential. Benton is well-regarded for its strong community ties, historical charm, and, significantly, its close proximity to the expansive and recreational hub of Rend Lake. The community's location offers residents convenient access to local amenities, essential services, and the abundant outdoor opportunities that define the Benton area.
The accessibility of Rend Lake Mobile Home Park is a significant advantage for its residents. Benton is strategically situated just off Interstate 57, ensuring easy connectivity to various parts of Illinois and beyond. The city also features the Benton Community Park, which offers amenities such as tennis courts, basketball courts, ball fields, picnic shelters, and walking paths—a great resource for families and individuals seeking outdoor recreation.
However, the most prominent advantage of this park's location is its namesake: Rend Lake. As one of the largest man-made lakes in Illinois, Rend Lake offers an unparalleled array of outdoor activities. Residents can enjoy fishing, boating, swimming at designated beaches like South Sandusky Beach, hiking on numerous trails including those in Wayne Fitzgerrell State Park, and even golfing at the Rend Lake Golf Complex. - Utility Connections: Communities typically provide hook-ups for essential utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity to each home site. Residents are usually responsible for their individual utility consumption bills. According to Illinois regulations, park owners must maintain a safe water supply, sewage disposal system, and electrical system.

Quiet place to live. But lots and lots of unsupervised children at all times and pets allowed to roam freely no leashes / collars
Oct 21, 2024 · Chrisandra GilliamThis place is just horrible. I would not let a dog live there.
Dec 30, 2020 · JIMMY LEE LINDSEY SRFirst let me say Gail the property manager is very unprofessional. I can't wait to see her response to this as she is very combative. I tried all day to be nice to her then when I finally say forget it your obviously not doing your job I'll be happy to tell your boss, I get attempted insults. ( ps: Boss if you want to see all the texts I've got them )We were going to buy a mobile home to flip there. She said twice on 2 diff. Days she would call me, and did not. She hung up when I called , supposedly had bad signal. Then when I decided I did not want to deal with management like that and texted her to tell her I didn't appritiate her lack of professional skills she went on to say I dont sign her check and I should watch what I say to people I want somthing from ( because she is totally in the power to deny me because of what I say ) and to that of course is one thing... Discrimination . So even if I had decided to purchase said property did I just hear you would tell me no because you said you didn't like the foot we got off on ???? Hmmmm pretty sure you can NOT discriminate against someone because you dont like them. ( that may be against the law? Just saying ... ) oh yeah and I'm the bad guy for expressing my thoughts to her lying to is ( twice ) ok :) Now to end it all. I have no problem with the park... only spent 5 mins there. I do however think that if you tell someone somthing multiple times you should do it. Gail did not. Too bad we could have fixed up all them empty mobile homes out there for you. Would have been a nice deal.
