Rambling RVs Introduce
For Texans seeking a serene and private RV experience, Rambling RVs in Kemp offers a charming and highly recommended alternative to larger, more crowded parks. This isn't just a place to park your RV; it's a "small private RV park with cabins right by the lake," designed to provide a tranquil and comfortable escape. Guests consistently praise the "very nice lots and beautiful grounds," highlighting the care taken to maintain a pleasant environment. The owner, Ray, is described as "super friendly and helpful," contributing significantly to the welcoming atmosphere that makes this park a true gem. While there's an honest heads-up about some low-hanging trees on approach roads (something outside the owner's control), the overall experience is one of peaceful relaxation and a strong sense of personal space, making it "highly recommend over cram packed RV Park." If you appreciate shade, fair prices, and direct access to the beauty of Cedar Creek Lake, Rambling RVs is your ideal destination in East Texas.
Rambling RVs is beautifully situated at 1109 Waterfront Ln, Kemp, TX 75143, USA, placing it directly by the scenic Cedar Creek Lake. Kemp, a charming town located on the northern tip of Cedar Creek Lake in Kaufman County, offers a quintessential East Texas experience. The park's location on Waterfront Lane means you are truly just steps away from the water, allowing for easy access to the lake's abundant recreational opportunities. While the approach roads may have some low-hanging trees, which a tall rig "will very likely get a scrape" from before arrival, this characteristic adds to the secluded, private feel once you're within the park's grounds. This is a trade-off many are willing to make for the peaceful environment and direct lake access.
Cedar Creek Lake is one of the largest lakes in Texas, renowned for its excellent fishing (especially for catfish, white bass, and crappie), boating, and various water sports. Its expansive shoreline and numerous coves provide endless opportunities for outdoor enthusiasts. Beyond the immediate lakeside activities, Kemp itself offers local charm with shops, eateries, and a community atmosphere. Nearby towns around Cedar Creek Lake, such as Seven Points and Gun Barrel City, provide additional amenities, including grocery stores, restaurants, and entertainment options like Whatz-Up Family Fun Park and various golf courses. For those willing to navigate the unique entrance, the reward is a quiet lakeside retreat that feels far removed from the hustle and bustle, while still providing relatively convenient access to necessary services and regional attractions in East Texas.
At Rambling RVs, the focus is on providing essential and reliable services for a comfortable stay, with a clear commitment to ongoing improvements. Very nice lots and beautiful grounds
Feb 25, 2024 · Craig BoffmanNice small private RV park with cabins right by the lake. To get to this places tho there are some low hanging trees along roadway. This is not the owners fault and he has no control. A tall rig will very likely get a scrape before you even arrive, for sure if you come along certain roads.Very nice small park, the owner Ray is super fiendly, and helpful. Has only 30 amp, but does have sewer and water hookups, no wifi as of yet. He seems to be always improveing it which is great. Very shaded lots. Prices are fair. Highly recommend over cram packed RV Park.
Oct 30, 2018 · Jesse PetersonWe tried to get to this park in a motorhome, huge mistake! The trees are so overgrown they scratched the paint and almost damaged the air conditioner. The roads are not maintained and are washed out. The road is so narrow we had to pull as far to the ditch as possible and stop for cars going the opposite direction. Almost every house we passed should of been condemned. So sad to see people living like that. There is a poisonous snake warning on their sign in the picture. We went back to the main road and purchased a spot at the marina. Its a little christian owned mom and pop place. Quiet, we stayed on the water. 50 amp hook up. The area is covered with those little round stickers that dig in and are hard to get out. We couldnt stake the dogs out. Every time we walked them we had to cut the burrs out of their fur. Wish someone had warned us NOT to attempt Ramblings in anything other than a truck. I would warn not to pull a trailer there either but maybe there is some secret way in we didn't know about.
