This prime location places it in Joliet, a city in Will County, Illinois, renowned for its rich history, developing entertainment scene, and, notably, its motorsports facilities. For Illinois residents and visitors, the accessibility of Race View Farms is a major advantage for experiencing local attractions.
The strategic placement of Race View Farms is specifically tailored for those who come to Joliet for its high-octane events:
Proximity to Major Racetracks: A key highlight of Race View Farms is its incredibly close proximity to major racing venues. It's often cited as being "2,000 feet to your seat" for events at nearby facilities like the Route 66 Dragway and the Chicagoland Speedway. This makes it an ideal and highly convenient camping spot for race fans attending events such as the NHRA U.S. National Drags, Cleetus and Cars & Indy 800, Indy 500-and Carb Night Classic, Ultimate Callout Challenge, Street Car Take Over & Hot Rod Power Tour, and the Bowtie Nationals. Being able to walk to these events significantly enhances the experience.
Major Highway Access: Joliet is well-connected by major interstate highways, including I-80, I-55, and I-355 (Veterans Memorial Tollway). Schweizer Road, while a local road, offers straightforward access to these major routes, facilitating easy travel to and from the RV park from various parts of Illinois and beyond. This connectivity makes it simple for RVers to navigate to the park.
Local Joliet Amenities: Beyond the racetracks, Joliet offers a full range of urban amenities. Residents and visitors can access grocery stores, various dining options, entertainment venues (like the Hollywood Casino Joliet, which also has an RV park), and other essential services within a short drive. This ensures that campers have access to everything they might need during their stay.
Access to Natural Attractions: While heavily associated with motorsports, the Joliet area also provides access to natural spaces. Nearby forest preserves and the Illinois & Michigan Canal National Heritage Corridor offer opportunities for hiking, biking, and enjoying the outdoors for those looking for a break from the racing excitement.
The location of Race View Farms is expertly positioned to serve the needs of motorsports enthusiasts, providing unparalleled access to some of Illinois' most thrilling events while maintaining connectivity to broader urban and natural attractions.
---**Race View Farms** is primarily geared towards providing essential and convenient services for RV and tent campers, especially those attending nearby motorsports events. While it might not boast extensive resort-style amenities, its offerings focus on practicality and meeting the core needs of campers.
RV and Tent Camping Sites: The park offers a variety of camping options, including both RV and tent sites. This flexibility caters to different types of campers and their preferences. Specific site types include:
Electric RV Lots: Available in 30ft x 50ft sizes with 30 amp or 50 amp service. These are crucial for RVs requiring electrical hookups.
Non-Electric RV Lots: Also available in various sizes (e.g., 30ft x 50ft, 30ft x 40ft), providing more primitive options for RVs.
Tent Lots: Designated areas for tent camping (e.g., 25ft x 30ft) are available in specific tent sections as required by zoning permits.
Extra Space Lots: Offered in both RV and tent sections, these allow campers to have additional room for spreading out or parking extra vehicles (not for additional RVs).
Full Hookups (for some sites): While some reviews mention "limited amenities," the park does offer full hookups for some RV sites, which typically include water, sewer, and electric connections, providing a comfortable camping experience.
Showers: Showers are available on-site, a critical amenity for campers. Hours and pricing for showers are typically posted at check-in.
Potable Water and Dumps: Potable water fill stations and dump stations are available throughout the weekend at the farm, often at no additional charge, allowing campers to replenish fresh water and dispose of wastewater.
Private Portable Toilets (Portolets) for Rent: For added convenience and privacy, campers have the option to rent private Portolets. These can be reserved ahead of time and come with an option to bring a lock. Portolet pump-outs are also available for an additional fee.
Ice and Firewood for Purchase: These essential camping supplies are conveniently available for purchase on-site, meaning campers don't have to leave the property for these basic necessities.
"Come N Go" Tags: Each lot purchase typically includes one "Come N Go" tag for a vehicle or tow, allowing re-entry to the property. Additional tags can be purchased, ensuring all vehicles entering the property have proper authorization.
Golf Cart Tags: For those bringing golf carts, a Golf Cart Tag is required to operate them on the property, contributing to safety and organization within the campground.
Race View Farms focuses on providing the fundamental services necessary for a comfortable and convenient RV and tent camping experience, particularly for event-goers.

Campers can often walk to the track, eliminating parking hassles and enhancing the race-day experience. This direct access is a dream for any motorsports fan.
Exciting On-Site Events (Crash Up Derby, Fireworks): Beyond just proximity to races, Race View Farms hosts its own thrilling events. Great Fun for the Whole Family: The comment "Great fun for the whole family!!" is a strong indicator that Race View Farms caters to all ages. This extensive experience means they understand the unique needs of race-goers and how to manage large crowds during peak event times, ensuring a relatively smooth experience.

Race View Farms leverages its incredible location to provide a truly immersive and entertaining experience for motorsports fans, offering a unique blend of convenience, excitement, and family-friendly fun.
---Based on the provided customer reviews and publicly available information for **Race View Farms**, specific, ongoing promotional "special offers" in the traditional sense (like discounts for first-time campers or long-term stay deals) are not explicitly detailed. However, the pricing structure itself and the nature of the park's offerings can be considered a form of value proposition, especially for event-goers.
The reviews indicate that "Prices are middle of the road," suggesting that the rates for camping are competitive and reasonable within the context of the services and unique access provided. The park's website directly lists rates for various lot types (electric RV, non-electric RV, tent lots, extra space lots) for specific event weekends (e.g., NHRA, Indy 500), along with additional costs for golf cart tags, additional "Come N Go" vehicle tags, and private Portolet rentals.
Instead of broad "promotions," Race View Farms operates on a event-based booking system, with rates set per weekend for specific major races and events. The value comes from:
All-inclusive Weekend Rates: The stated prices for lots (e.g., $190.00 for a 30ft x 40ft non-electric RV lot for the weekend) typically include the lot itself and one "Come N Go" vehicle tag. This straightforward pricing can be seen as a form of "offer" by simplifying budgeting for event stays.
Convenience-Based Value: The primary "offer" is the unparalleled convenience of camping directly adjacent to major racing venues. For race fans, the ability to walk to the track, avoid heavy traffic, and immerse themselves in the racing atmosphere directly from their campsite is a significant value proposition that goes beyond a simple discount.
On-Site Amenities Included in Stay: Access to potable water and dump stations, and potentially showers (with separate pricing for showers typically posted at check-in), are essential amenities included or available on-site, reducing the need to travel elsewhere for these services.
Prospective campers should visit the official Race View Farms website or contact them directly to inquire about specific event dates, current rates for different lot types, and any package deals that might be offered for particular race weekends. The focus here is less on traditional discounts and more on providing a tailored, convenient, and entertaining experience for motorsports enthusiasts at a competitive "middle of the road" price point for the unique value offered.

Oct 03, 2016 · Jack SlaughterWent to see them street outlaws from Oklahoma. Excellent time, me and my girl will be back. We tailgated, went in and out. The rain held off on Saturday. We was there when the gates opened stayed till closing GREAT DAY.
Sep 09, 2018 · Michael DouglasWe camped here for the first time for NASCAR weekend and were very impressed with their reasonable rates and attentiveness to the needs of campers. A terrible storm hit Sunday which overturned portable toilets and did some other damage and their staff were out immediately cleaning things up. We had an electric site (they bring in temporary electric service) and it worked flawlessly the whole weekend. They sell things like ice and firewood and provide showers at their nearby farmhouse for a fair price. It is about a ten to fifteen minute walk into the track depending on where your actual site is located. We found the campsite to be family oriented and not a wild party scene by any stretch of the imagination. If we camp again for another event at the track I will choose this location again.
