Pinewood RV Park Introduce
For RVers navigating the expansive roads of East Texas, finding a convenient and accommodating place to pause their journey is always a top priority. Longview, with its charming East Texas ambiance, serves as a popular hub, and within its vicinity lies Pinewood RV Park. This park offers a fundamental set of amenities designed to meet the basic needs of most RV travelers, whether they are stopping for a quick overnight stay or considering a longer period in the area. While the park provides essential services like full hookups, it has also been the subject of certain serious allegations in past customer reviews. This article aims to provide a factual overview of Pinewood RV Park, detailing its offerings and location, while also acknowledging the diverse range of experiences reported by visitors. For any Texan considering a stay, it's always prudent to gather as much current information as possible to ensure it aligns with their expectations and comfort levels.
Pinewood RV Park is located at 156 Farm to Market Rd 2011, Longview, TX 75603, USA. This address places it within the broader Longview area, a significant city in East Texas known for its piney woods landscape and accessibility to various regional attractions. The park's location on a Farm to Market Road suggests a setting that balances a degree of rural tranquility with convenient access to main thoroughfares. Longview itself is well-connected by major highways, including Interstate 20, which makes the park relatively accessible for travelers coming from different parts of Texas or beyond. While not in the immediate hustle and bustle of downtown Longview, its position on FM 2011 means that essential services such as grocery stores, fuel stations, and local dining options are typically within a short driving distance. This balance of being somewhat removed for peace yet close enough for convenience is often a desirable trait for RV parks, catering to both those seeking a quiet retreat and those needing quick access to city amenities. However, as with any location, potential visitors should consider their specific needs regarding proximity to amenities and personal preferences for traffic levels.
Pinewood RV Park offers a range of fundamental amenities designed to provide a comfortable and self-sufficient stay for RVers. These are the core services typically expected in an RV park.
- Full Hookups: The park provides full hookup sites, which include connections for water, sewer, and electricity. This is a crucial amenity for any RVer, ensuring they have all necessary utilities directly at their site.
- Electrical Connections: Guests have access to various electrical hookup options, including 20, 30, and 50 amp connections, accommodating a wide range of RV types and power requirements.
- Bathhouse: A bathhouse is available on-site, providing shared restroom and shower facilities for guests. These facilities are important for campers who may not have full bathroom amenities in their RV or prefer separate facilities.
- Laundry Facilities: For the convenience of guests, Pinewood RV Park includes laundry facilities, allowing travelers to wash and dry their clothes during their stay without needing to leave the park.
- Trash Services: Basic trash disposal services are provided to maintain cleanliness within the park.
While Pinewood RV Park offers standard amenities, certain aspects and past experiences contribute to its overall profile. It's important to consider both widely reported features and specific accounts from customers.
- Emergency Assistance: One notable highlight mentioned in a customer review is the willingness of staff, specifically an "old guy" (likely the manager or owner), to provide assistance during late-night emergencies, such as a generator failure. This suggests a potential for helpfulness and responsiveness in critical situations, even extending to refusing payment for assistance.
- Basic & Functional Amenities: The park is described as offering "basic amenities," implying that while it covers the essentials (full hookups, bathhouse, laundry), it might not feature extensive luxury amenities like pools, clubhouses, or large recreational areas that newer or resort-style parks might offer.
- Quiet and Peaceful Potential: Given its location on a Farm to Market Road outside of the immediate urban core, the park has the potential to offer a more peaceful environment compared to parks situated directly on major highways, allowing for quieter nights.
- Accessible for Various RV Sizes: With 20, 30, and 50 amp hookups, the park is equipped to handle a variety of RV sizes, from smaller travel trailers to larger motorhomes.
- Management's Presence: The presence of park management or owners on-site, as indicated by the review about emergency assistance, can be a positive aspect for many travelers who value direct communication and support.

For Texans considering Pinewood RV Park, it's essential to weigh the factual information regarding its amenities and location against the reported customer experiences. The park does offer fundamental services like full hookups, bathhouses, and laundry facilities, which are crucial for any RV traveler. Its location on FM 2011 provides a balance of being removed enough for a potentially quieter atmosphere while still offering reasonable access to the city of Longview and its resources. For local Texans traveling through the East Texas region, the park might serve as a convenient stop for a night or two, especially if in need of basic hookups. The single positive review highlighting the manager's willingness to assist with an emergency, even at midnight and refusing payment, suggests a potential for genuine helpfulness and a welcoming demeanor in certain interactions, which can be invaluable for travelers in a pinch. However, prospective visitors should also be aware of the very serious and concerning allegations raised in other reviews regarding management practices and the park's environment attracting "individuals of questionable character." For any Texan, making an informed decision involves personal research and perhaps even direct communication with the park to clarify any concerns. Ultimately, while Pinewood RV Park provides the essential infrastructure for RVers, it stands as a place where potential guests, particularly locals, should exercise caution and conduct thorough due diligence to ensure it meets their safety and comfort expectations for their Texas adventures.

Pinewood RV Park Reviews
Our generator crapped out on us at midnight. If you know anything about the area, you know AC is a necessity, so we called around. They woke up to help us get situated and tried to refuse payment! Nicest old guy I've met in a long time. Faith in humanity restored.

Feb 26, 2025 · Nicole24/7 service. thanks Bobby (owner) for a great stay! so sad to leave on to our next jobsite. we stayed her for a few months. this rv park is awesome. friendly residents, and a calm environment. while they are residents staying full-time, there is more than enough space for new-comers and for temporary stay. at one point it was fully booked, but you will get that anywhere especially with people traveling. bobby is a great man and super sweet. all the time i was there, i felt confident that if something ever happened, he would of helped me out. thanks bobby for a great experience and i wish you the best. will miss you!
