Palm Shores RV Park Introduce
Are you a Florida local considering a long-term RV park for your recreational vehicle, seeking a place on the beautiful Space Coast? Palm Shores RV Park in Melbourne, Florida, offers a location along a major thoroughfare and provides the fundamental amenities necessary for RV living. While some recent resident feedback highlights challenges, understanding the park's offerings and its context can help you decide if it aligns with your needs.
Melbourne, situated on Florida's Central Atlantic coast, is a dynamic city known for its beautiful beaches, the expansive Indian River Lagoon, and its significant role in the aerospace industry. It offers a vibrant mix of outdoor recreation, cultural attractions, and urban conveniences. Living in an RV park in this area provides the opportunity to enjoy all that Melbourne has to offer, from historic downtown districts to nearby space exploration sites and pristine coastlines. Palm Shores RV Park's location on US Highway 1 positions residents conveniently for access to these attractions.
Recent feedback from residents suggests that Palm Shores RV Park has undergone management changes, which have reportedly impacted the resident experience. Concerns have been raised regarding communication, clarity of lease terms, and the consistency of park rules enforcement. For long-term residents, clear communication and consistent management are crucial for a stable living environment. One former resident noted receiving an eviction notice without prior contact or reason, indicating a need for improved communication channels. Another concern was a rent increase with no apparent improvements, and issues with cleanliness of shared facilities and inconsistent lot sizes.
However, it's important to recognize that all RV parks, especially those catering to long-term stays, can experience periods of transition or areas needing improvement. The park does offer the "bare minimum amenities" needed for RV living, according to a review, which suggests it provides the essential services required by RVers. These typically include full hookups for water, electric, and sewer, which are foundational for comfortable RV life.
While the reviews point to challenges with management and the condition of some facilities, such as the laundry room being "extremely overpriced" and often having broken machines, and cleanliness issues in bathrooms, it is essential for prospective residents to conduct their own due diligence. Visiting the park, speaking with current residents, and directly addressing concerns with management can provide a more current and comprehensive understanding of the living experience.
The park's location on N US Highway 1 means there's a certain level of accessibility to surrounding areas by vehicle, although it's noted that "there’s nothing within walk-in distance." This means residents would likely rely on personal transportation for shopping, dining, and other necessities. This is a common characteristic of many RV parks, particularly those designed for long-term stays where residents typically have their own vehicles.
For RVers who prioritize an accessible location along a main thoroughfare and are primarily self-contained in their RVs, Palm Shores RV Park might meet basic needs. However, the consistent feedback regarding management, pricing, and facility upkeep suggests that potential residents should be prepared to assess these aspects thoroughly before committing to a long-term stay. The park states it offers "electrical hookup, water, sewer, garbage pickup, mail delivery all conveniently included within the monthly rent," and that "Long-term residents can have cable and internet installed too." They also claim to be a "quiet park on Brevard County's picturesque Indian River with a focus on community."
Ultimately, choosing a long-term RV park involves weighing various factors, including cost, location, amenities, and management quality. While Palm Shores RV Park has received critical feedback regarding some of these areas, its fundamental offerings as a long-term RV park in a desirable Florida location may still be a consideration for some individuals. A direct inquiry and visit are highly recommended to evaluate if the current conditions meet personal expectations for a comfortable and stable RV home.

While it provides the fundamental necessities for long-term RV living in a highly desirable Florida location, recent challenges highlighted by residents suggest that prospective tenants should prioritize a thorough on-site visit and direct communication with current management.
Its primary suitability for Floridians lies in its strategic location on US Highway 1 in Melbourne. This area offers convenient access to the Space Coast's beautiful beaches, the Indian River Lagoon, and major attractions like the Kennedy Space Center. For locals who want to stay close to these regional highlights and appreciate the ease of highway access for travel, the park's geographic placement is a significant advantage.
The park is designed for long-term RV stays, which can appeal to Floridians seeking a stable base for their RV, whether for full-time living or extended seasonal periods. The inclusion of utilities like water, electric, sewer, and garbage pickup in the monthly rent simplifies budgeting for residents, a practical benefit for those managing their living expenses.
However, the recurring concerns about communication, management changes, lot size inconsistency, and cleanliness of common facilities are crucial points for Floridians to evaluate. For a long-term commitment, reliability of services and clear lease terms are paramount. Despite these concerns, if management addresses the noted issues, the park's foundational amenities and prime location could still make it a viable option for those prioritizing an accessible spot on Florida's East Coast.

Palm Shores RV Park Reviews
After management changed a few months ago the quality of the park has gone down. After living here two years, with no contact, an eviction notice was put on my door step. I wasn’t contacted before hand, I wasn’t given a reason, and they had the audacity to text me three days after.Update after moving out: rent used to be 650$ a month but when management changed they made it 750$ a month with no improvements to the park. They would clean the bathrooms badly and without shoes on. The lots are extremely small and many people don’t follow the rules in the lease. There’s no where for people to park their cars and lot sizes are very inconsistent. The laundry matt is extremely over priced and most of the time a machine is broken. The bathroom wall had poop on it for **months** and nothing was done.Overall it has what you need, but it’s over priced, the management sucks, and there’s nothing within walk-in distance. This parks only benefits is that it has the bare minimum amenities. They didn’t even update the lease when management changed.

Sep 17, 2023 · Kristina Carter (Mama Krizt)One of the better RV Parks we’ve been to recently. Great management goes a long ways and Melissa is a true gem! Clean and modern facilities; it’s an overall well kept small RV park in a great location!
Aug 19, 2023 · Bobby McCulleyBeleave none of what you read. None of what you hear. And all what you see. If you look closely you'll see the kids rv next to me black holding tank leaks and smells. Airborne biohazard can't open windows on a day with west wind. I got yeld at for complain. I'm not saying it's a bad place I'm just saying you can interpret it any way you like but when something like this happens it ought to be fixed and not just ignored.
