It is important for potential residents and visitors to be aware of certain aspects highlighted in customer reviews. There are significant concerns raised about the park manager, "Berri," described as "extremely moody" and enforcing rules selectively, leading to a climate where residents "avoid her at all costs." Issues include sudden rule enforcement, yelling, and threats of eviction for minor perceived infractions or inquiries, such as asking about the internet. There are also reports of neighbors being inconsiderate, including off-leash dogs and tampering with electrical hookups, creating uncomfortable situations. This suggests that while the park offers an affordable price point and good location, the social dynamics and management style are critical factors to consider. Prospective guests are strongly advised to assess whether these conditions align with their expectations for an RV park experience.
For Texans considering Pace Bend RV Park, its affordability and location near Lake Travis and the scenic Hill Country are undoubtedly appealing. For those seeking a long-term, budget-friendly living solution in their RV, the park offers a permanent community feel. The access to water activities, hiking trails, and the peaceful, natural surroundings of Spicewood make it a desirable spot for outdoor enthusiasts. However, locals considering this park, especially for an extended stay, should be prepared for the specific community dynamics and management style described in customer reviews. If you prioritize an affordable rate and proximity to outdoor recreation, and are comfortable navigating a potentially challenging social environment, Pace Bend RV Park could serve as a practical base for your Central Texas adventures or a long-term home. As with any long-term commitment, it is always wise to thoroughly assess the environment to ensure it meets your individual needs and expectations.

Pace Bend RV Park Reviews
Just stay clear of the manager, Berri. I thought she was so great when I moved to the Park. I really thought she was someone I could end up being good friends with.Extremely moody and the whole world revolves around her. Her and I and a couple other renters got together on two occasions. She does all the talking. Telling stories about herself and if you try getting a word in, she gets mad. Says you are too loud and will wake her husband which will ruin her chance to be out having fun. Every time you try to make it a conversation.Rules are only enforced if she doesn't like you. And she will come at you like you like you set fire to the park if she can pin a rule on you. And you had better not get upset that she is screaming and yelling at you or you get evicted.Quite a few residents will tell you, they avoid her at all costs because they don't want to get kicked out. They took away the internet without telling anybody. And she gets tired of the inquiries, wanting to know when the internet issue will be resolved. So you might want to ask your neighbors what's going on or risk an eviction for being the 3rd person to bother her about it.The rent is cheap so if you'd like to stay for the price, don't upset the crazy lady in charge! Its her world and you best remember that or be prepared to be able to leave on a moments notice should you decide not to cater to the mood of the moment. She's evil. If she likes you, you can do whatever you want. Rules will not apply to you. But that could change if you catch her in the wrong mood.Just avoid her at all costs and you won't have any problems.
Jun 12, 2025 · Kari CollinsPark associates are fantastic ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ friendly, helpful, communicative leading up to our stay and upon our arrival. Bath house ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Our neighbors however will be the reason we won’t be retuning. The dog next door was let lose, would come lay at our steps and come bark at us. The other neighbor had his decorative lights on his trees plugged into our designated electrical box. We unplugged one of them to plug in our small A/C. We went to dinner and upon returning they had unplugged our A/C from our electrical box and plugged their decorative lights back in. He was very intoxicated, the lady there even mentioned he’d consumed half a bottle of whiskey. At a little after 10p he started playing music loudly till about midnight. We had an athletic event the next morning. This was really disappointing. It was a very uncomfortable situation. My personal impression , the majority of the people here appear to be full timers and they don’t prefer “guests”. We didn’t feel safe asking the neighbor if we could plug our A/C back in while he was that intoxicated. We couldn’t find anything near by to relocate to. Our 2nd night was quiet. No issues 2nd day other than the lose dog in our area.

Mar 18, 2023 · David ReadWe wanted to wait a few months before giving a fair and honest review about Pace Bend RV Park. We read some negative reviews about this place before moving from a different state. Those reviews were specifically about the manager Barrie. While we considered and weighed those negative reviews against the positive ones, we also understood that different people have different experiences and that we could not pass judgement before experiencing it for ourselves. We decided to pick this RV park mainly due to location, availability and the timeframe we needed to move in. We are very happy with our decision. We had a crazy road trip that took multiple days but Barrie made sure that our arrival was quick, easy and hassle-free. We have now called this RV park our home for the last few months and can earnestly say that the manager Barrie has been absolutely amazing. It's the little things that make a big difference. We have truly felt taken care of by Barrie and her husband. They have been quick to address any questions or concerns and are always helpful. We have had neighbors come and go but all of them have been friendly and respectful. We believe this is in large part to the fact that Barrie manages this place well and is fair, respectful and accommodating. This is a quiet RV park that's far enough away from the busyness of Austin but close enough in case you need to run for dinner or errands. It will honestly be hard moving away from here when the time comes. Thank you to the owners and management for making us feel at home here.
