Features / Highlights
- Convenient Location for Essentials: A significant highlight, as noted by a resident, is the park's location "next to Walmart," making it exceptionally convenient for grocery shopping and other everyday necessities. This is a considerable advantage for RVers.
- Long-Term Residency Potential (Historical): While recent changes are noted, the park has historically accommodated long-term residents, with some having stayed for over 10 years, suggesting it once offered a stable living environment.
- Community Aspect: One resident's simple yet positive remark, "It's great," coupled with living there, indicates that for some, the community offers a satisfactory living experience.
- Concerns Regarding New Ownership and Evictions: A major concern raised by a former resident is the impact of "new owners" on the community. This includes reports of residents, even those who had been there for over a decade, being "evicted with a week to leave." This suggests a significant shift in management policy and potential instability for current or prospective residents.
- Issues with Facilities and Infrastructure: The same critical review highlights concerns about the park's physical condition, specifically mentioning "cracked and moldy" bathroom tile and "faulty electric." These are important considerations for comfort and safety.
- Uncertainty Regarding Future Plans: The former resident speculates that the new owners might be "planning on doing some serious remodels," which, while potentially positive in the long run, creates uncertainty for current residents about disruptions and the future of their living arrangements.

Conclusion: Why This Place is Suitable for Locals
For us Floridians, choosing an RV park involves weighing various factors, from convenience to comfort and community stability. Ocala RV Community in Silver Springs presents an intriguing case, particularly for those seeking a practical base in Central Florida. Its undeniable advantage is its prime location directly next to a Walmart, offering unparalleled convenience for daily errands, which is a significant benefit for any RVer. For those who prioritize easy access to amenities and a central spot from which to explore the Ocala area's natural springs and equestrian attractions, this proximity is a considerable draw.
However, it is vital for any local considering Ocala RV Community to be fully aware of the recent developments. While the convenience and the historical capacity for long-term stays are attractive, the serious concerns raised by former residents regarding "new owners," abrupt evictions, and reported issues with facility maintenance (like cracked tiles and faulty electrics) are critical. For us Floridians, understanding these potential challenges is crucial. It suggests that while the location offers convenience, prospective residents should conduct thorough due diligence, perhaps by speaking with current residents on-site, inquiring directly with management about their policies under the new ownership, and inspecting the facilities firsthand. This proactive approach will help you determine if Ocala RV Community, despite its excellent location, aligns with your expectations for a stable and comfortable RV living experience in our Sunshine State.

Ocala RV Community Reviews
lived here for 2 months and got evicted with a week to leave, because of “new owners”. said new owners even put out people who where there 10+ years. hopefully they’re planning on doing some serious remodels because the bathroom tile was cracked and moldy and the electric was faulty as hell.

Apr 15, 2025 · martin strattonThey post online on websites like Craigslist and within the hour of posting never ever answer the phone. I’ve left several messages over the course of months. No call back. Why even have a phone?I was also informed they’re the nastiest place in the strip you can stay from a previous tenant.
Jul 01, 2023 · Megan RollinsUPDATE DEC 2023...I'm changing the 2 stars to 5. The new owners have really cleaned this place up and secured it with new fence.Asked about RV lot for rent. You have to talk to staff through tiny window. Female has a bad vibe. Boyfriend was sitting at a desk rolling his eyes at my questions. I simply took my business right down the street at "the springs". Paid a year in advance. 2 stars.
Dec 19, 2023 · jamie gilmanWe tried for a few days to get in here with our RV. Never got any replies back. Walked around and it seemed like a decent enough place for $395 a month (definitely a bit dingy). I finally got a hold of the office woman who was short, rude, and seemed happy to be turning us away. We were denied because we have dogs, which is hilarious to me considering the condition of the park grounds, the vehicles they have strewn about, and the less than desirable location. I was ready to stay here and submit myself to the atmosphere, but I'm glad we were turned away. Decrepit facilities are one thing, but a condescending, annoyed aditude to top it off is too much.
