Freeport, known for its deep-water port and Gulf Coast access, offers a unique blend of industrial activity and coastal charm. Living in this area can appeal to those working in local industries or those who enjoy proximity to the coast for fishing and other recreational activities. Oasis Mobile Home & RV Park aims to serve individuals and families seeking a convenient base in this region. We will explore the park's specific address and its accessibility, delve into the various services and features it reportedly offers, and incorporate insights from recent feedback to provide a balanced perspective for anyone considering a stay or permanent residence here. Understanding these aspects is crucial for making an informed decision about your next living situation in Texas.
Oasis Mobile Home & RV Park is strategically located at 715 County Rd 329, Freeport, TX 77541, USA. This address places it within the greater Freeport area of Brazoria County, a region known for its coastal environment, proximity to the Gulf of Mexico, and a significant industrial presence, particularly related to the petrochemical industry and the Port of Freeport.
The park's location on County Road 329 suggests a position somewhat removed from the immediate hustle and bustle of downtown Freeport, potentially offering a quieter residential setting. However, its proximity to major county roads and, in turn, to state highways like Highway 36 and Highway 288, provides relatively easy access to the wider Freeport area and beyond. This accessibility is important for residents who commute to work in Freeport's industrial sectors or need to access local services, shopping centers, and medical facilities.
For those who enjoy coastal activities, the park's location in Freeport means that beaches, fishing opportunities, and boating access are generally within a reasonable driving distance. Freeport is a hub for shrimping and fishing, making it attractive for individuals drawn to maritime pursuits. While the park itself is on County Road 329, its placement in Freeport ensures that residents are connected to the resources and recreational opportunities that the city and surrounding Brazoria County have to offer. However, it is also important for prospective residents to consider the specific geographic characteristics of the area, particularly regarding flood plains, which is a common aspect of coastal Texas regions. Understanding local infrastructure and direct routes to essential services will be key for daily accessibility.
Oasis Mobile Home & RV Park reportedly offers a range of services designed to provide convenience for its residents, whether they are in mobile homes or RVs. Based on available public information and resident feedback, the park aims to simplify the living experience for its tenants.
- Utilities Included (Electricity Paid): A significant service highlighted in a review is that electricity is "paid," meaning it is included in the rent or space fee. This can be a substantial financial benefit, especially in the Texas climate where air conditioning usage can lead to high electricity bills. It offers predictable housing costs for residents.
- On-site Laundry Facilities: The park reportedly features a "washer dryer house," indicating the availability of communal laundry facilities. While one review notes potential issues with machine functionality, the presence of on-site laundry offers a convenience for residents, reducing the need to seek off-site laundromats.
- Mobile Home and RV Lots: As a mobile home and RV park, it offers designated lots for both manufactured homes and recreational vehicles, accommodating diverse living needs, from long-term residency to potentially shorter-term RV stays.
- Water and Sewer Connections: Standard for such parks, it would typically provide connections to water and sewer services at each lot, essential utilities for all residents.
- Dumpster Access: For waste disposal, the park would likely provide dumpsters for residents, although feedback has indicated concerns about waste management and cleanliness in relation to this service.
When considering Oasis Mobile Home & RV Park, certain features and highlights emerge from public information and resident commentary. These aspects help to paint a picture of what residents might experience within the community.
- Good Price Point with Utilities Included: A major highlight is the reported "Good price— electric paid." This inclusion of electricity in the monthly fee is a significant financial benefit, providing cost predictability and potentially making the park a more affordable option compared to other housing in the area where utilities are separate.
- On-site Laundry Facility: The presence of a "washer dryer house" provides a convenient amenity for residents. While there have been reports of machine issues, the availability of an on-site laundromat can save residents time and the hassle of going off-site for laundry needs.
- Adaptable for Mobile Homes and RVs: The park caters to both mobile home residents and RV owners, indicating flexibility in accommodating different types of long-term or temporary living arrangements.
- Located in Freeport, TX: Being in Freeport offers proximity to coastal activities and local industries. This can be a highlight for individuals working in the area or those who enjoy fishing, boating, and access to the Gulf.
However, it's equally important to acknowledge reported concerns that may influence a resident's experience:
- Floodplain Location: A critical highlight to be aware of is the park's reported location in an "actual flood plain." This is a significant consideration for safety, property insurance, and potential disruptions during heavy rainfall events, particularly in a coastal Texas environment.
- Sewer and Sanitation Issues: Some feedback describes "Major sewer problems" and "raw sewage" affecting living conditions. These are serious concerns that could impact health and comfort.
- Cleanliness and Pest Control: Reports mention "Dirty Nasty living conditions," "Lots of disease cats dragging food from dumpsters," and "Skeeters too." These suggest potential challenges with sanitation and pest management within the park.
- Utility Reliability Concerns: Beyond just the sewage, there are mentions of "water and electricity issues alone" that could lead to "code enforcement" violations, indicating potential problems with the reliability or safety of these essential services.
- Lack of WiFi: The explicit mention of "No wifi" is a significant drawback for residents who rely on internet connectivity for work, communication, or entertainment, especially given modern expectations.
- Communication Issues: Reports of the listed phone number not working and issues with deposit refunds ("mail the deposit to my home address") suggest potential challenges with park communication and administrative processes.

It is strongly advised that prospective residents attempt to contact the park directly using these numbers to verify current availability, pricing, and to address any specific concerns they may have. Given the mixed feedback, an in-person visit to the park to assess the current conditions firsthand is highly recommended. This allows for a personal evaluation of the premises, a direct conversation with any available on-site staff, and an opportunity to observe the environment and amenities for oneself before making any commitments.
In conclusion, Oasis Mobile Home & RV Park in Freeport, TX, presents itself as a potentially affordable living option for locals seeking mobile home or RV accommodations in the Brazoria County area. Its reported "good price" with "electric paid" is a notable financial benefit, offering predictable costs which can be highly attractive in the Texas housing market. The on-site laundry facilities also provide a layer of convenience for daily living.
However, prospective residents in Texas should approach this option with careful consideration, especially given the significant concerns raised in recent public feedback. The park's reported location in an "actual flood plain" is a critical environmental factor that requires thorough investigation, as it could impact safety and livability during severe weather events common to coastal Texas. Furthermore, multiple reviews highlight serious issues regarding "Dirty Nasty living conditions," "Major sewer problems," and concerns about "raw sewage," as well as "water and electricity issues." These are fundamental aspects of healthy and safe living environments and warrant immediate and direct inquiry.
The mention of "Lots of disease cats dragging food from dumpsters" and "No wifi" also points to challenges in sanitation and modern connectivity that potential residents should be aware of. While the price point and included electricity are attractive, these benefits must be weighed against the reported conditions. For locals in Texas considering Oasis Mobile Home & RV Park, it is paramount to conduct extensive personal due diligence. This includes visiting the park, speaking with current residents if possible, and verifying the current operational status and resolution of any reported issues directly with park management or relevant local authorities. A thorough investigation will be crucial to determine if this location truly meets your expectations for a comfortable and healthy living environment in Freeport.

Lotta cats. Skeeters too. Good price— electric paid. Also have washer dryer houseEDIT:Found out they’re located in a flood plain. Not 500 year, but actual flood plain. Not sure where the office is supposed to be located and the number listed doesn’t work anymore. They will “mail the deposit to my home address”.
May 15, 2019 · Anonymous Member of Society (AMOS)Absolutely the worst vacation because of the Dirty Nasty living conditions. Major sewer problems, must have mud boots on just to walk out your front door. Raw sewage made us very ill, and the only thing we brought back was the horrible smell that is on everything that we can't get rid of. For $$600. A month go to a place that the washer s work,..and not just take your quarter s cause the the half are broke. Lots of disease cats dragging food from dumpsters. No wifi...code enforcement would have a so many violations for the water and electricity issues alone..Don't waste your money or time at this nasty place.
