Oakwood Manufactured Home Community Introduce
Welcome to Oakwood Manufactured Home Community, a mobile home park situated in the bustling city of Arlington, Texas. For many Texans, particularly those in the highly sought-after Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, finding housing that combines practicality with a sense of community is a significant consideration. Mobile home communities offer a distinctive living option, providing individual spaces for manufactured homes often at a more accessible price point compared to traditional housing within such a dynamic urban area.
Oakwood Manufactured Home Community aims to provide a place for residents to establish their homes within a structured environment. We understand that choosing a place to live involves weighing various factors, including location, cost, and community policies. Our goal is to offer a functional setting in Arlington where residents can enjoy the benefits of mobile home living while being connected to the vast opportunities and amenities that the DFW Metroplex provides.
Oakwood Manufactured Home Community is located at 605 Oakwood Ln, Arlington, TX 76012, USA. Arlington, Texas, is a major city within the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex, renowned for its vibrant entertainment scene, major sports venues, and significant economic activity. Our location on Oakwood Lane offers residents a strategic position that balances access to urban conveniences with a more residential neighborhood feel.
The accessibility of Oakwood Manufactured Home Community is a key advantage. Residents have straightforward access to major highways, facilitating commutes to employment centers in Arlington, Fort Worth, and Dallas. This connectivity is vital for those working across the Metroplex. Beyond commuting, Arlington offers an abundance of attractions, including AT&T Stadium (home of the Dallas Cowboys), Globe Life Field (home of the Texas Rangers), Six Flags Over Texas, and Hurricane Harbor. Educational institutions, shopping centers, diverse dining options, and healthcare facilities are all within easy reach.
While the internal layout and specific access points might require careful navigation for larger vehicles, the overall location within Arlington ensures that residents are well-connected to all that the city and surrounding Metroplex have to offer. This blend of local amenities and regional access makes Oakwood Manufactured Home Community a practical choice for Texans seeking an established mobile home park in a prime North Texas location.
- Mobile Home Lot Rentals: We offer dedicated lots for manufactured homes, providing essential space and utility connections for residents.
- Community Management: On-site management oversees park operations and addresses resident concerns, aiming to maintain community standards.
- Utility Access: Residents typically have access to necessary utility hookups at their individual lots. (Note: Lot rent does not include bills for utilities.)
- Parking Management: The community enforces parking policies, generally allowing for a specific number of vehicles per household.
- Prime Arlington Location: Situated in Arlington, residents benefit from living in a major DFW city with access to extensive job markets, entertainment, and amenities.
- Established Community: The park has an existing community, which can offer a sense of stability and neighborly interaction for residents.
- Practical Housing Solution: For individuals and families seeking a potentially more affordable housing option in the competitive DFW market, manufactured home living can be a practical choice compared to traditional homeownership or apartment rentals.
- Tenant Responsibilities: Residents are responsible for maintaining their own mobile homes and managing elements on their individual lots, including trees. This includes the understanding that the park may not be liable for damage caused by trees on individual lots, as highlighted in reviews. Prospective residents should clarify these responsibilities and consider obtaining appropriate mobile home insurance, which typically includes liability coverage and can cover damage to the dwelling and personal property from various perils, including falling objects.
- Parking Policy: The community has a clear policy regarding the number of vehicles permitted per household (e.g., two cars permitted, with challenges for a third). Residents should factor this into their living arrangements.
- Lot Rent Structure: Lot rent is stated as $645 per month, with "no bills included." This means utilities (electricity, water, sewer, trash) are additional responsibilities for the tenant. When considering the average mobile home lot rent in the US, which typically ranges from $200-$800, this falls within the common range, but understanding the additional utility costs is crucial for budgeting.
- Security and Management Concerns: It is important for prospective residents to be aware of the serious concerns raised in some reviews, including reports of missing money orders from the overnight drop box and issues regarding property liability for tree damage. These points highlight the importance of direct communication with park management to understand security measures, payment procedures, and specific liability policies, as well as to inquire about how such past issues have been addressed to ensure peace of mind.

Oakwood Manufactured Home Community offers a pragmatic living solution for locals in the Texas region, particularly those considering the bustling city of Arlington within the expansive Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. For many Texans, the appeal of manufactured home living lies in its potential for affordability and the flexibility it offers as a housing choice in a high-demand urban area. Oakwood aims to provide a structured community for those seeking this alternative.
The primary advantage of Oakwood Manufactured Home Community for locals is its location. Being situated in Arlington means residents are at the nexus of significant economic opportunities, world-class entertainment, and a comprehensive range of urban amenities. This makes it an attractive option for individuals and families working in or around the DFW area who are looking for a community that balances cost-effectiveness with access to city life. The presence of an established community also provides a sense of familiarity and neighborhood, which can be important for long-term residents.
However, it is vital for prospective residents to be fully informed about the community's policies and tenant responsibilities, particularly concerning parking regulations and liability for property damage. The responsibility for trees on individual lots, and the implications for mobile home insurance, are important considerations that should be clarified directly with park management. Furthermore, the concerns raised in some reviews regarding security of payment methods and specific incidents should prompt thorough inquiry. It is always recommended for interested parties to visit the community in person, discuss all terms and conditions with management, and possibly speak with current residents to gain a comprehensive understanding of the living environment.
For Texans who are seeking a mobile home lot in a prime DFW location and are prepared to engage with community policies and individual responsibilities, Oakwood Manufactured Home Community provides a foundational place to call home within the vibrant city of Arlington.

Oakwood Manufactured Home Community Reviews
Tow trucks enforced. No peace of mind. 2 cars only. 3rd one permitted but where are you supposed to park it?? 15 families money order's have gone missing from the over night box at the office door and where forced to pay rent again. It is a reoccurrence. Hispanic house hold seem to be the target. The lot rent is $645 no bills included on top of your trailer payment. Oh trees are your responsibility if your tree falls on someones trailer and cause damage you are responsible not the trailer park.
Jun 03, 2023 · Tanya RamirezThis huge branch fell on the mobile home we just bought and the community manager says they're not liable for the hole in our roof! But yet they came to clean up the mess? Sounds liable to me, aren't these mobile home communities supposed to carry insurance for these types of occurrences? So if this branch falls and God forbid, kills someone they're not liable? Very interested in knowing our rights? New to Arlington Texas....
