Oak Hollow Introduce
For Oregonians seeking the advantages of homeownership without the high cost and maintenance demands of traditional housing, Oak Hollow Manufactured Home Community in Salem, Oregon, provides a compelling solution. Located in the heart of Marion County, Oak Hollow is an established all-ages mobile home park that caters to families, professionals, and individuals looking for a place to call home.
Manufactured home communities offer a unique blend of ownership and convenience: residents own their homes—which often feature modern layouts, updated appliances, and comfortable living spaces—while leasing the land (lot rent). This structure significantly reduces the financial barrier to owning a physical asset. Oak Hollow is known for its homes that are often well-maintained, with some featuring modern updates like luxury vinyl flooring, new countertops, and updated siding and roofs, making them truly move-in ready.
The community has recently undergone a management transition, which has brought a renewed focus on enforcing park rules and maintaining a tidy, high-standard environment. While some longtime residents have noted that the strict enforcement of rules regarding parking, yard maintenance, and trash storage feels more structured, similar to a Homeowners Association (HOA), this management style is often implemented to ensure the community remains attractive, safe, and maintains the value of the homes within the park. Potential residents should be aware of and prepared to adhere to these detailed rules, which are designed to elevate the overall quality of life and curb appeal of the community.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1Saw another resident complaining about how it feels like an HOA, and that is completely accurate! They're nitpicking you on everything, from lawn needing cut, trash in driveway, etc etc. I feel like they should be giving us some sort of amenities but we don't even have a usable dog park like they claim we do, just a fenced in area that dogs can very easily climb under, and no common area at all. You'd think that for all the bullshit they want US to do to make "their" property look good, they would atleast bother to have something to offer? Don't move here if you want a welcoming community with friendly neighbors and amenities, because you won't find that here.
May 25 · Tobi ParkerRecently our owner sold to a company. We were used to feeling like we owned our homes. Once the new company took over they enforced rules heavily. This Park feels less like home, more like an HOA. You must follow the rules or you will be charged extra. Garbage cans cant be shown from the road, which is extremely unusual in regular neighborhoods. NO PARKING ON THE STREET. Not even in front of your house. Now street parking is only for visitors… please, let me tell you, none of us hardly have enough visitors that there is no parking. Most of us live in these manufactured homes because it is far cheaper than owning a house. Which means many families are living in a large household in these small 3 bedroom homes, which means more cars. We also get regular inspections, which is a bit ridiculous, I know it’s their lot that our houses that we own are on but we pay our rent. I don’t see why they can’t walk or drive by to see what they need to see. Coming into our private yards that aren’t bothering anyone is just a huge inconvenience and makes us feel like we are renting in our own homes. I understand the rules completely, without rules then things can be wild. But all of us have lived here since even before 2012. We’ve been here for a long time and we’ve had no problems at all until the new management came in.
