Mozella RV Park Introduce
For many of us across Louisiana, particularly those involved in industrial sectors or who travel for extended work contracts, finding an RV park that aligns with our specific needs is paramount. Mozella RV Park, located in Paradis, LA, positions itself as a practical and affordable option designed primarily for the working individual or couple seeking a long-term, stable base. This isn't a leisure-focused resort, but rather a functional and convenient solution for those whose priority is a safe place to rest and manage their daily routines while on assignment in the region. Understanding this core purpose is crucial to appreciating what Mozella RV Park offers to our local workforce.
It's important to approach Mozella RV Park with a clear understanding of its target audience and operational style. While some traditional RV park expectations might not be met, its value lies in its pragmatic approach to accommodating those with demanding work schedules. This article aims to provide a factual and comprehensive overview of Mozella RV Park, based on publicly available information and common experiences, to help you determine if it's the right fit for your upcoming stay in the vibrant industrial corridor of Louisiana. We'll delve into its location, the services it provides, unique features, and essential contact details, all from the perspective of a local user.
Mozella RV Park is strategically located at 14485 Old Spanish Trail, Paradis, LA 70080, USA. This address places it in the heart of Louisiana's industrial corridor, making it exceptionally convenient for those working at the numerous chemical plants, refineries, and other industrial facilities dotted along the Mississippi River. The proximity to these major work sites is a significant advantage, often reducing commute times considerably for shift workers. Its location on Old Spanish Trail also means reasonably direct access to larger highways and interstates, connecting you to surrounding communities and the greater New Orleans metropolitan area, which is approximately 25 minutes away. While accessibility to work is a key highlight, prospective residents should be aware that being close to industrial areas and transportation routes may result in varying levels of ambient noise. Furthermore, its proximity to railroad tracks means train noise and vibrations are a factor to consider, as mentioned by previous occupants.
Mozella RV Park focuses on providing the fundamental services required for comfortable, extended stays, particularly for its working clientele. Based on available information and the nature of such parks, you can generally expect the following services:
- Full Hookups: Sites are equipped with essential water, electricity (commonly 30 and 50 amp service), and sewer connections, which are critical for long-term RV living.
- On-Site Management: There is typically management available on-site, though their accessibility and responsiveness may vary, as suggested by some reviews.
- Concrete Pads: Many sites feature concrete pads, providing a stable and level surface for your RV.
- Well-Maintained Bath House and Laundry Facility: These communal facilities are generally available and maintained for residents' use, offering a convenient alternative to onboard amenities.
- Weekly and Monthly Rates Available: The park caters to longer stays with flexible pricing structures, making it a cost-effective option for extended periods.
- Mail and Package Handling: While some concerns have been raised about the security of packages, a system for mail and package reception is typically in place for long-term residents.
- Security Cameras: The property is stated to have security cameras, aiming to provide a level of security, although their functionality and effectiveness have been questioned by some past residents.
The features and highlights of Mozella RV Park specifically cater to the needs of its primary demographic – traveling workers and individuals seeking an affordable, no-frills, extended stay. These are the aspects that differentiate it:
- Convenience for Industrial Workers: Its most significant highlight is its direct and rapid access to the many industrial plants and facilities in the River Parishes, making it an ideal base for those on contract or long-term assignments.
- Affordable Long-Term Rates: The park is positioned as a budget-friendly option for extended stays, offering a cost-effective alternative to hotels or more expensive, amenity-rich RV resorts.
- Proximity to New Orleans: While catering to workers, its location is still only about 25 minutes from downtown New Orleans, offering the possibility of urban exploration on days off.
- Focus on Practicality over Recreation: Unlike family-oriented parks, Mozella RV Park prioritizes essential living needs over extensive recreational amenities, which can be a draw for those who simply need a place to rest and prepare for work.
- On-Site Laundry Facilities: A crucial feature for long-term residents, allowing for convenient access to washing and drying clothes.
- Direct Access to US-90: Being located on Old Spanish Trail (US-90) provides straightforward navigation to and from the park.
- Potential for Quiet Rest (with considerations): For its target demographic, the park aims to provide a quiet environment for rest, acknowledging that some ambient noise from the highway and nearby train tracks is inherent to the location.

Mozella RV Park Reviews
Shift worker who stayed almost 2 years part time & it was awful from day one. Should have left that day but stayed because it was cheap and convenient for my job.Horrible fire ant problem and its impossible to step outside after dark because of how bad the mosquitos are but this is south Louisiana after all so I just put up with it.What I never should have tolerated was the rudeness of the management. Theres a woman who rides around on her golf cart acting like shes doing YOU a favor by managing. If she ever knocks on your camper door it’s going to feel like a police raid because she will beat on it so hard you’ll need to check for dents. Shes never in her office when you need her and if you do run into her shes unfriendly and abrasive for no reason. All mail and packages are left outside her office so anyone can just grab them- and theres no kind of security. Supposedly cameras but I highly doubt they are functional considering the theft that went on.Some neighbors are cool but the ones directly beside me routinely backed their truck way too close to my lines and almost backed over my sewer hose more than once!Old Spanish highway has some odd characters that walk up and down in the middle of the road/railroad track. I never felt safe enough to leave anything like a nice cooler or chairs outside the camper. Stray cats everywhere, flooding, office/bath house area looks like a junkyard, too close to the railroad, tons of traffic, nasty manager- I wouldnt send my worst enemy to that place.Oh and absolutely no pets. The owner doesn’t comply with federal law protecting those with disabilities who have service dogs. I’ve seen some reviews saying it’s pet friendly but it definitely isn’t.
May 04, 2025 · Kristin BlumI will NEVER stay here again. 1st time we stayed was when my mom suddenly passed away and Mozella was the only park in the area with a space. She was nice to my husband when he explained the situation and she put us in the back. Just an FYI, the train track is extremely close and not only loud, but shakes the motorhome several times a day and night. I would have given this park 5 stars except for the 2nd time we "tried" to stay here. Now being a long distance caretaker to my widowed 86 year old dad with Parkinson's, I had set up a week of doctors appointments, OMV appointments, etc. My husband called to make a reservation. He was on speaker so I heard the entire discussion. He requested a spot in the back which are nicer. She told him there was nothing in the back but had sites up front. No problem, we needed it so he booked it and she read the dates back to him before hanging up. After driving 4 hours and about 20 minutes away from the park, I call before the office closed to get our site number. She tells me they have no availability. I responded that we have a reservation. She tells me "I told your husband I don't guarantee reservations". She's an absolute liar because had she told him that, my husband would have looked for another park knowing I had to absolutely have a place to stay that week. Plus she didn't realize I had heard the entire discussion when he booked the reservation, so as a liar, she was trying to put the blame on my husband. You can't get any lower as a person than that. My best guess is she either didn't write it down or had someone come in that wanted a monthly spot and the dollars were more important than satisfying a repeat customer who was going to be there for only a week. The owner couldn't have cared less how put out she would have made me had another RV park not had a site available at literally the last minute. I have read other reviews how rude this woman is and I can attest that she is also uncaring and not a person of her word. If you can't guarantee reservations, don't take them, simple. Who thinks taking a reservation and not honoring it is OK? Don't lie and attempt to throw my husband under the bus to me, own up to your either mistake or greed. I make many trips down there to take care of my dad, this park will not get anymore of my money.
Jun 05, 2023 · noahdorablesThis has been one of the best experiences we have ever had in a RV park. Every one is friendly and the manager will go out of her way to make you feel at hone. Pam will go above and beyond to take care of any problems. If she can’t fix it her husband will and if he can’t then they will call in a professional. She keeps the laundry area and bathrooms clean. Would highly recommend for the peace and quiet.
