Monterey Fairgrounds RV Park

2004 Fairground Rd, Monterey, CA 93940, USA

4.0
This place is fine enough. Great location (but you will definitely hear planes overhead). It’s secure and the cheapest option we found in the area. Basically a parking lot with hookups and a bathroom. There is a gate with a code for after hours access. You do need to check in before 5pm which is sometimes hard for us to make happen but we made it. Spots are very tight and short. With everyone’s slides out you’re almost touching your neighbors. And for most of the spots you’ll have to park your tow vehicle in a separate spot. All in all it’s a decent place. Nothing special but we would stay there again for the convenience and price. Still overpriced for what you get but like I said, best we could find in the area. I called to ask a question before booking and the woman I spoke with was quite rude and told me “I am very busy, look on the website”. Despite this we still booked because there were so few options with availability that weren’t $150+ a night. - Melissa McCraw
