It also addresses a critical need for many outdoor enthusiasts: secure storage for their valuable recreational vehicles and boats when not in use. When considering any campground or storage facility, a thorough understanding of its attributes is essential. While the appeal of a natural setting is undeniable, it's also important to be aware of practical aspects, such as accessibility to amenities and potential environmental considerations. By drawing on publicly available data and firsthand accounts, we aim to present a balanced perspective of Mill Creek Campground and Secure RV/Boat Storage, ensuring you have the necessary information to make an informed decision for your travels and storage needs in Perkinston, Mississippi.
Mill Creek Campground and Secure RV/Boat Storage is situated at 70 10 Mile Rd, Perkinston, MS 39573, USA. Perkinston is a small community located in Stone County, Mississippi, known for its rural charm and proximity to vast natural areas, including portions of the De Soto National Forest. This setting positions the campground as an ideal base for those looking to enjoy the tranquility and outdoor opportunities that rural Mississippi offers.
The accessibility of the campground from major routes would be a key consideration for RV and boat owners. While 10 Mile Road suggests a more rural approach, its connection to broader roadways in the Perkinston area is implied, allowing for relatively straightforward travel to and from the site. For daily necessities, residents and visitors would typically rely on the small town amenities available in Perkinston, which might include local stores and gas stations. Larger retail centers and a wider variety of services would likely be found in nearby towns, such as Wiggins or Hattiesburg, requiring a short drive.
The appeal of this location for many is its integration with the natural landscape. Being near creeks and potentially within or adjacent to forest areas provides opportunities for outdoor activities directly from the campground. This rural setting offers a quieter alternative to more bustling urban or coastal RV parks, making it particularly attractive to those seeking a genuine escape into nature.

- P Essential Amenities for Basic Comfort: The campground provides "the basics covered," including "power, hot shower & laundry." This is a significant highlight for travelers who prioritize functionality and convenience over luxury, ensuring fundamental needs are met.
- P Suitability for "Southern Tier Cyclists": This specific mention suggests the campground is known within the cycling community as a practical stopover, possibly due to its location along a popular cycling route or its basic, no-frills, cyclist-friendly amenities.
- P Secure RV/Boat Storage: A dedicated aspect of the business, offering "Secure RV/ Boat Storage," is a major highlight for locals and visitors who need a safe place to keep their recreational vehicles and watercraft when not in use. This provides peace of mind.

Mill Creek Camp Ground and Secure RV/ Boat Storage Reviews
Beware that most of the campground is in a high risk flood zone. These pictures were taken June 19 in the aftermath of tropical storm Claudette. Flood waters came in around 4:30am on June 19 and residents (including apartment residents) barely had time to get out- at least two campers were destroyed. Very frightening experience and although the creek is nice, please be mindful that this is something you could encounter if you stay here, particularly during rainy seasons.
Jul 05, 2021 · Darlene CaseyFor Southern Tier cyclist this place will work. Not deluxe, beautiful camping but it has the basics covered: good place to pitch tents, power, hot shower & laundry. I think there is even WiFi
Nov 18, 2021 · Scott DiamondThis place is a hidden gem in Stone county Mississippi. We rented a small studio apartment for our daughter. The place was spotless, the park is well-lit, and the facilities included on-site laundry room. The entire park was well-maintained and felt very safe. The residents were friendly. The owner was always available for questions and very helpful. This is a sweet little spot to stay and you will love it!
Oct 02, 2022 · Amy SewellIf you stay here in an rv/camper you'll be fine for the most part. Although you take a huge chance of getting your personal property stolen or damaged. Now if you stay in one of the apartments (which is rented out like motels) it's a different problem for you. There is a huge drug problem throughout the whole park, but the building is the worst. Folks will be fighting all hours of the night & day. Inside & out. It's full of mold, the floor is just painted concrete. There is only one hot water heater that you share with 6 other units as well as 2 public bathrooms located in the laundry room, so you don't have hot water all the time. The laundromat has washers & dryers but rarely work. Keep watch on your vehicle cause it will get broke into at some point. The new property owner doesn't care. Don't let the security camera sign fool you, it's only there to protect the personal interest of the owner. No cameras watch over the tenants and they're property. I could keep going but you should understand where your staying with the information I've provided here. Good luck to you.
Apr 11, 2022 · Secret ShopperMy Mother inland rents her apartment here. For the price she pays and utilities and partially furnished. It's very wonderful. Its located right along the railroad tracks to it's front and to its back is a nice creek. It's really like one big family out there.
