McGregor RV Park Introduce
Welcome to McGregor RV Park, a small and often quiet RV park located right on McGregor Boulevard in Fort Myers, Florida. For those who prioritize a convenient location and a no-fuss approach to their RV stay in Southwest Florida, McGregor RV Park offers a unique option. It's not a resort overflowing with amenities, but rather a practical and centrally located spot that caters to RVers looking for a straightforward place to settle down, whether for a short visit or an extended stay.
In the bustling Fort Myers area, where many RV parks boast elaborate features and high prices, McGregor RV Park stands out for its more down-to-earth atmosphere. It’s the kind of place where, as one resident put it, "we ain't fancy," but a strong sense of helpfulness and community can be found. This park is particularly suited for those who prefer a less overwhelming environment and appreciate the peace and quiet after a day of exploring the vibrant Fort Myers region.
The park caters to both transient RVers and those with more permanent setups, and its character reflects a blend of these uses. While some sites may be home to older, established trailers, the focus for many visitors is on the ease of access to local attractions and the accommodating nature of the park's management. The park prides itself on being a place where residents can enjoy their space without constant interference, fostering an independent yet supportive atmosphere.
One of the notable advantages highlighted by visitors is its dog-friendly policy, which can be a significant benefit for RVers traveling with their beloved pets in an area where such accommodations can sometimes be limited. This welcoming approach to furry companions makes McGregor RV Park a more accessible option for a wider range of travelers looking to experience Fort Myers with their whole family.
While reviews offer a mixed perspective, they consistently point to the park's core offering: a quiet base with an excellent location. For many, the practical benefits of its position outweigh any perceived lack of luxury amenities. It's a place where the focus is on providing a safe and convenient spot for your RV, allowing you to immerse yourself in the rich experiences that Fort Myers and its surrounding areas have to offer.

McGregor RV Park Reviews
It is a very quiet place. No one bothers you. When we pulled in, the residents helped my husband get the camper parked. It is one of the few dog-friendly places in the area. Several restaurants available in the area. Beach access is very easy, you just need to plan for bridge traffic using Google maps. We were hit by pending severe weather and the owner juggled things to ensure we didn’t have to pull the camper in potential high winds and storms. As a restaurant at home says, “we ain’t fancy.” But they will help you when they can. Marie has been very accommodating.
Mar 25, 2022 · sandra klattFirst of all, the facilities are disgusting and never cleaned. Holes in ceilings and floors with rotten wood. I would never use these facilities and would much rather use the restroom in bushes then this bath house. Second, old and run down trailers make up 60% of their sites with many of them unoccupied and housing stray cats and other rodents. The stray cats swarm this park because of the ample coverage due to these trailers. Third, the owners , very old in age, discriminate based on age and made judgments on me based off the fact that I’m young. After 4 months of stay we were told the rates are going up for season and that since we are young we must not understand how business works. I was blown away that after months of paying like everyone else that I would be talked down as if my age constitutes for knowledge or funds.Fourth, sites are run down and poorly managed. Several neighbors complained of unkept sewer hookups including myself. We notified management that our Sewers were clogged. Our waste has been pouring into the grass under the RV for over a week and still hasn’t been addressed or a new site offered to us. I went to renew my monthly lease and asked for a new site until this one was fixed and it was not an option. I now have to leave on a moments notice because management lacks compassion and hygiene management for its customers. The only good think about this park would be the location, however there are over 3 near by parks with excellent facilities: Grooves RV park and Gulf Air RV Park for example are less then a mile away, have full facilities and pools, plus well kept sites.
Jan 21, 2019 · Kelsey YogaGood Experience, very accommodating and quick to respond during the reservation process! Personally I was bit concerned based on other reviews however we would certainly stay again without hesitation. It is an older park with some older rigs but the grounds we kept up and everyone was super friendly.
Feb 14, 2022 · Ed CambutThe vm has a lady thanking you for calling a number with a 239 area code, I think (Google is 866) and then proceeds to tell you to send a text but doesn’t bother to repeat the number. I finally get something to call back and write number down, it seems she only left 7 digits and it was breaking up. Now as I’ve called another 4x to try to get this lazy text number, the call won’t go thru at all. YOU ARE RUNNING A BUSINESS NOT A TINDER SITE for Gen Z. PLEASE USE THE VOICE THAT GOD GAVE YOU AND ANSWER THE STUPID PHONE ON YOUR DESK THAT THE COMPANY FURNISHED! Is this just a money laundering scheme or does this place actually conduct business?
May 17, 2023 · Me MePretty awful. I'd give it zero stars if I could. We made a reservation months in advance for our 40 foot motorhome. No one was in the office when we arrived and there was no Welcome Envelope left for us. A fading, old note on the office door said to "See Patty at Site 6" so we went there and rang the mobile home doorbell. No one answered. (Indeed, we never saw anyone from management the three nights we were there.) We found a site on our own. The park is filled with decrepit, dirty mobile homes. The vacant sites are strewn with debris. If we had been able to find another place to stay, we would have left right then and there. The next day we spoke with a friendly fellow motorhome resident who told us this story: the park was hit hard in one of the recent hurricanes. Some of the damaged mobile homes were cleared out and FEMA brought in 18 trailers. One of the FEMA residents was a real trouble maker (noisy, dirty, harrassing other residents). Management evicted him so he came back in the dead of night and poured concrete down some of the sewer connections. Things went downhill from there. The old man owner doesn't want to give up control. His son and daughter are trying to take over and the whole family is feuding to the point where one refuses to be on site if the other is there. The only thing this park has still going for it is a convenient location.
