Maxie's Campground LLC Reviews
One of the nicest places I have stayed at in the 1 1/2 years that I have been traveling the US. The manager Jason was awesome & very helpful in finding me a mobile RV repair service for some of my issues. The shower rooms were clean & very spacious, the laundry room was clean & had plenty of machines... $4.00 to wash & $1.50 to dry. There is no designated dog walking area, but plenty of grass to walk them at the end of the park. Other than the traffic noise from the highway (it is right on HWY 90 East) it is a very quiet campground.AND very affordable at only $35.00 per night (as of 3/21/24)it is also just down the way from a Wal Mart, Albertsons & a Home Depot etc.
Mar 22, 2024 · Sharon ShriverWe only stayed at this campground for one night as were just passing though on our way to Texas. It’s a nice campground with laundry ($4 per load) and a bath house. There is a small stream/drainage ditch behind some of the sites. Jason, the owner, was very friendly and offered suggestions on things we could do in the area. There was a strong WiFi signal which we really appreciated. Our site had a large cement pad which was great. The only negative with this campground is the traffic noise from the highway but we just turned our fan on to drown out the noise and had no problem sleeping. (Jan. 2024)

Mar 20, 2025 · Kevin PyleMaxie's is a nice campground. It is basic. Gravel is sites with full hookups, restrooms, showers, and laundry. Near a large community park and historic areas. What makes this special are the owners and the annuals. Pets welcome.
May 08, 2025 · Pat ClemensWe arrived 3 days ago only planning for a overnight stay. We were greeted by Brant and his customer service was so good we decided to stay longer. He allowed us to go through the site and choose wherever we preferred and allowed us to stay on the nice concrete pad adjacent the laundry and washrooms and gave us the Passport America rate. At $17.50 for full hook up and excellent washrooms and very high speed internet with the tower right next to us it was by far our best bang for the buck stay to date since we entered Texas from Mexico. We were a little concerned being close to the highway but in the evening the traffic died down considerably and once inside our unit ready for bed it wasn’t bad at all and we slept peacefully. Theres a Walmart Supermarket thats across the highway a couple blocks away which was convenient also. The Tabasco factory on Avery Island is close by this area also. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to everyone else that passes through Broussard or Lafayette area.
