However, we never received any notification regarding the $200 increase—only the letter about the $50 increase. When I explained this to her, she said, "Nothing we can do about it." It is illegal in Alabama to raise rent without proper notification.We had lived here without issues until the current staff took over. Additionally, they have been harassing us for over two weeks with "inspections" that they never actually follow through on. Throughout our time here, there hasn’t been a month when our water wasn’t cut off without warning, which even damaged our dishwasher. Emails go unanswered, and the staff member in charge is often rude—she handed us papers with the attitude, "Here, you got what you wanted."Moreover, they expect us to pay for our own outside water line for a hose installation. Maintenance is always slow; they once damaged our front door, leaving us trapped inside because the back door wouldn’t open, and a storm door handle was broken off by one of their employees, who seemed rushed. They send messages verbally through third parties and they hold your payments until they are late just so they can add a $20 late fee to it. These people are shysters! I will never do business with them again.
