Longbranch MHC is conveniently situated at 9600 E 47th St S Lot 105, Derby, KS 67037, USA. This address places the mobile home park in a strategic location that balances a quieter living environment with excellent accessibility to nearby urban centers. For residents across Kansas, and particularly those in the Wichita metropolitan area, Derby offers a welcoming suburban atmosphere, and Longbranch MHC is positioned to take full advantage of this.
A significant highlight of Longbranch MHC's location is its proximity to major transportation arteries. It is noted as being "5 miles South of Kellogg on Webb road." For those familiar with Wichita, Kellogg Avenue (US-54/US-400) is a primary east-west thoroughfare, meaning residents have relatively quick and easy access to a vast network of roads. Webb Road is another key north-south route in the area, further enhancing connectivity.
This favorable positioning means that residents of Longbranch MHC benefit from being "positioned favorably to Wichita and Derby services to all." This includes access to a wide array of amenities such as shopping centers, grocery stores, restaurants, entertainment venues, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions in both Derby and the larger city of Wichita. Whether it's a quick trip for groceries or a commute to work, the park's location minimizes travel time for daily necessities and leisure activities.
While one resident review mentioned concerns about the lack of paved roads and street lamps, implying a somewhat rustic feel, the overall sentiment points to a location that provides a sense of being "outside all of that" – meaning away from the intense hustle and bustle, yet still well-connected. This blend of a more relaxed residential setting with practical accessibility to urban conveniences is often highly sought after by those looking for a balanced lifestyle in Kansas.
The Derby area itself is known for its family-friendly environment and community-oriented feel, which further enhances the appeal of Longbranch MHC's location. Residents can enjoy the local parks, schools, and community events that Derby has to offer, all within a short distance from their homes. This strategic placement makes Longbranch MHC a practical and appealing choice for those seeking a mobile home community in the South Central Kansas region.

Firstly, its strategic location is a significant draw. Being "5 miles South of Kellogg on Webb road" places it in a sweet spot that offers the tranquility of being "outside all of that" – meaning away from the intense urban density – while still providing incredibly convenient access to the comprehensive services of both Derby and Wichita. For Kansans who value a quieter home life but depend on city amenities for work, shopping, healthcare, and leisure, this balance is ideal. It allows for a relaxed return home after a busy day without sacrificing accessibility to the resources that facilitate modern living.
Secondly, the community atmosphere, highlighted by the positive feedback regarding the manager's attentiveness and the general sense of "Nice place to live," fosters a welcoming environment. In Kansas, where community ties often run deep, having a responsive management team that "thoroughly takes care of resident's needs" can make a significant difference in daily living quality. This personal touch can translate into a more supportive and harmonious neighborhood, which is invaluable for individuals and families looking to settle down.
Furthermore, Longbranch MHC provides flexible housing solutions. The option to "Move your own mobile home in" is a considerable advantage for those who already own a manufactured home and are seeking a community lot. Simultaneously, the availability of "some rentals" broadens the appeal to those who may not be ready to purchase, offering an accessible entry point into mobile home living without the immediate commitment of ownership. This flexibility caters to a wider range of housing needs and financial situations prevalent among local residents.
While there have been noted concerns about infrastructure like road paving and street lighting, the ongoing efforts by management to address these issues ("they 'fixed the roads'") demonstrate a commitment to improving the living experience. For many locals, the benefits of affordable housing, a quieter setting, and a responsive management team may well outweigh these evolving infrastructure aspects, especially if they are actively being addressed.
In conclusion, Longbranch MHC presents a practical, community-oriented, and accessible mobile home living option for Kansans. Longbranch MHC Reviews
Where are the paved roads and street lamps? Feels too dark to really walk at night. Rent still goes up every year with those promises going unfulfilled.Nice place to live outside all of that, though.Update: they "fixed the roads" but took away the individual trash dumpsters since the "trash truck is too heavy" for the roads.
Nov 11, 2023 · Samuel EmersonLove living here. Move your own mobile home in as we did, or some rentals available. Manager is a personable woman who thoroughly takes care of resident's needs. Mice, clean properties, 5 miles South of Kellogg on Webb road. Positioned favorably to Wichita and Derby services to all.
Jan 15, 2019 · Ann HattonIt's a roof over your head and definitely just a pit stop until you get your things in order. It's not clean a lot of empty run down falling apart trailers with a lot of code violations that if need fixed while your living in it they will make you pay half the cost. Total Joke I do not recommend
