Leisure RV Park Introduce
Leisure RV Park is a well-established and centrally located RV destination nestled in the picturesque heart of Chester, California, right in the scenic Lake Almanor Basin. Having welcomed travelers and long-term guests for over 50 years, this park offers a unique combination of mountain tranquility and small-town convenience. It is strategically positioned to serve as the perfect base camp for exploring the immense natural beauty of Northern California, including the nearby Lassen Volcanic National Park and the stunning Lake Almanor.
The park is intentionally designed to provide a comfortable and convenient experience for all types of RV campers, from those passing through for a night to those seeking an extended stay amidst the tall pines. Unlike many seasonal campgrounds in the higher elevations of Plumas County, Leisure RV Park is an important feature for locals and travelers as it remains open year-round. This commitment ensures that visitors can enjoy the changing seasons of the Sierra Nevada, from the lush summers to the quiet beauty of a mountain winter.
While the park offers essential amenities like full hookups and on-site services, its primary draw remains its location and ambiance. It provides a unique, shaded setting, with some sources suggesting the presence of a picturesque pecan orchard, offering a naturally beautiful backdrop for your stay. The blend of a central location right off Main Street—which allows guests to easily walk to local dining and shops—and the proximity to wilderness areas, delivers the best of both worlds. The management and residents strive to maintain a clean, friendly, and respectful environment, ensuring a peaceful experience for the majority of guests. The park aims to offer a comfortable and convenient retreat from the road, living up to the promise of leisure.

★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1probably not some place you want to stay unless you want to live in a prison with the new owners!!! Additionally, the rules and regulations set forth in their required contact to stay there are unenforceable. Way to improve your facility people. Good job on making IMPOSSIBLE to stay there!!!!
June 10 · Linda OstojaMy group loved staying here! The grounds were clean and pretty and the residents and Cari were so friendly. Really good location, too; it's right next door to one of the local coffee places and is central enough that we were able to walk everywhere in town.
June 09 · Chloe CunninghamI would give this less than one star if I could! The management (Liz) in that place has a split personality. One moment she conducts herself professionally the next she calling you names and peeking through other peoples windows or just walking through people's space, which I feel is an invasion of privacy. I don't usually make such horrible reviews, but I have to warn my fellow neighbors here in the east bay (Clayton) area! Stay away from this poorly managed RV park!! Not to mention it's super far away from any recreational locations.
September 27 · Stacey WilliamsWe pulled up late on new years eve 2017 as most of the camp sites were snowed in. The owner let us park up right in front of the heated restrooms with wifi and hot showers. Word went about the town that 2 New Zealander's were staying so we had a few locals come welcome us to Chester.
July 15 · TasheeSuper Friendly and helpful owners. Park was super clean, close to all amenities, bathrooms were not kept stocked. Verizon cell signal was weak and there wi-fi was so, so. Would definitely stay again.
