Its location in Ypsilanti offers residents access to a variety of local amenities and services within the broader Michigan area. Ypsilanti itself is known for its vibrant community, historical charm, and proximity to larger metropolitan areas like Ann Arbor and Detroit, making it an attractive place for many to live.
Accessibility is a key factor for any living situation, and Lakeview's address places it within reach of major roadways, which is crucial for commuting and accessing necessities. For residents, this means relatively easy access to local shops, grocery stores, healthcare facilities, and educational institutions in Ypsilanti and surrounding Michigan communities. The park's location also plays a role in daily life, with local transportation options and the general flow of traffic in the area being important considerations for prospective residents.
However, it's also important to consider all aspects of the location. Being in an established area can mean proximity to various types of infrastructure. For example, some residents have noted that the park is located beneath the flight path of Willow Run Airport. This can lead to noise from overhead planes, which might be a consideration for those sensitive to sound. Additionally, the density of the neighborhood, typical of many established communities, can impact aspects like parking availability and general neighborhood activity. Understanding these specific local nuances, particularly from a Michigan resident's perspective, is vital for assessing whether Lakeview's location aligns with individual preferences for peace and quiet, as well as convenience.
---- Lot Rental: Lakeview Mobile Home Park primarily offers lots for rent, where residents can place their own manufactured homes. This means you own your home but pay a recurring fee for the land it occupies. It's important for prospective residents to understand the terms and conditions of lot rental agreements, including any annual increases, as these can impact the long-term affordability of living in the community.
- Community Management: The park operates under community management. While specific details on the extent of their services are not publicly detailed, community management typically oversees common areas, enforces community rules and regulations, and handles maintenance of shared infrastructure like roads and utilities within the park.
- Utility Access: Residents at Lakeview Mobile Home Park would have access to essential utilities such as water, electricity, and potentially gas and sewage. It's crucial for prospective residents to clarify how these utilities are billed – whether they are included in the lot rent, or if residents are responsible for individual utility accounts and their associated costs. Some residents have noted instances of water shut-offs without warning, which is an important consideration to discuss with management.
- Community Rules and Regulations: Like most organized communities, Lakeview Mobile Home Park has a set of rules and regulations designed to maintain order, safety, and the overall quality of life for residents. These typically cover aspects like property maintenance, parking, pet policies, and noise levels. Adherence to these rules is expected from all residents to ensure a harmonious living environment. It's advisable to review these guidelines thoroughly before considering a move.
- Established Community: Lakeview Mobile Home Park has been an established community for several decades, with some residents having lived there for over two decades. This indicates a long-standing presence in the Ypsilanti area and a history of providing housing options.
- Individual Home Ownership with Leased Land: A key feature is the ability for residents to own their mobile homes while leasing the land it sits on. This model can offer a path to homeownership that might be more accessible than purchasing a traditional site-built home, appealing to those seeking a more affordable property investment in Michigan.
- Proximity to Ypsilanti Amenities: The park's location in Ypsilanti, Michigan, means residents have access to the city's various amenities, including shops, restaurants, services, and local attractions. This offers convenience for daily needs and leisure activities.
- Direct Management Contact: The presence of a community management structure means there's a point of contact for resident concerns and community operations. While the effectiveness of this contact can vary, it provides a channel for communication regarding community rules, maintenance, and resident issues.

Lakeview Reviews
LOUD neighborhood. Having lived over 2 decades, I've witnessed its decline. It took some time to get used to living underneath the flight path of Willow Run Airport. Some larger planes flying above rattled the walls nightly.Had my home here broken into once and ransacked twice - once in October 2021 while I was in the hospital, and the other time its B&E was 2017 by my next door neighbors.Lot rent in 1999 was $300. In 2022 it was over $600, even though I owned my mobile home. That's a rate way above the rate of inflation. Living on SSDI, that means their annual lot-rent-increase was way above my yearly SSDI COLA (cost of living adjustment).Almost every day of the last two years of living there, I'd have vehicles rattle the dishes in my kitchen cabinet due to the sheer volume of their car subwoofers. Many of my neighbors didn't mow their lawns and didn't shovel their driveways of snow. Others park on their lawn because of owning more cars than parking spots. It's like Lakeview management stopped caring about its rules as much as they did when I moved in back in 1999 when it was privately owned.
Nov 09, 2023 · Brian ShellThey keep shutting the water off without warning. This is illegal unless it is an emergency and considering, it’s becoming a regular this, I doubt it was an emergency. Also they should be giving a boil water notice and I have not received one.I was also attacked by my neighbors dog over a year ago (I had to have surgery due to it)and management and the corporate office would not return my calls. My neighbors still have the vicious dog!Wish I could get out of this community!
