Our goal is to present a balanced perspective on Lakeview Mobile Village, highlighting its enduring advantages and acknowledging areas that prospective residents might wish to investigate further, all from the viewpoint of a local Florida user.
Lakeview Mobile Village boasts a desirable mid-town location at 2307 Skyview St, Sebring, FL 33870, USA. A significant advantage of this address is its remarkable proximity to Lake Jackson, with residents being just "steps" away from the lake's shores. This offers unique opportunities for enjoying lakeside views, fishing, or simply taking leisurely strolls along the water. Sebring itself is known for its picturesque lakes, charming historic downtown, and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere, making it a popular choice for those seeking the quintessential Central Florida lifestyle.

Based on the provided resident reviews, Lakeview Mobile Village offers a more focused set of services and amenities, with a primary emphasis on basic living essentials and community interaction. It is important to note that changes in ownership and management have impacted some perceived offerings. Here’s a summary of services, based on available information:
- Individual Mobile Home Lots: The park provides dedicated lots for residents to place their mobile homes.
- Shuffleboard Courts: Explicitly mentioned as an existing amenity, providing a recreational option for residents.
- Utility Hookups: While not directly stated, it's standard for mobile home parks to provide the infrastructure for essential utilities like water, sewer, and electricity to each lot, with residents typically responsible for their individual utility bills.
- Quiet Environment: Reviews consistently mention that the park is "quiet," indicating a relatively peaceful living atmosphere.
- Resident-Maintained Cleanliness: A significant point highlighted is that "The residents keep the park clean," suggesting a strong resident initiative in maintaining the community's appearance.
- Office for Management Contact: Although reviews indicate challenges with consistent office presence and responsiveness, an office structure is implied for administrative purposes.
It is important to acknowledge that reviews mention a lack of a full-time manager and no dedicated maintenance man under current ownership, leading to concerns about upkeep beyond what residents manage, and responsiveness to issues like busted pipes or pest control. Prospective residents are strongly advised to contact Lakeview Mobile Village directly to inquire about current management structure, specific services provided, and the process for addressing maintenance concerns. This direct communication is crucial for obtaining the most accurate and up-to-date information.
Lakeview Mobile Village features several attributes that contribute to its appeal, particularly for those seeking a specific type of community in Florida. However, it's also important to consider challenges highlighted by recent reviews for a balanced perspective.
- Prime Mid-Town Location: Its central Sebring location is a significant highlight, offering convenient access to local amenities.
- Proximity to Lake Jackson: Being "steps to Lake Jackson" is a major draw, providing residents with easy access to the lake's beauty and recreational opportunities. This offers a serene backdrop and potential for outdoor activities.
- Friendly Residents: Multiple reviews emphasize the "friendly residents," indicating a welcoming and amiable community atmosphere. This can be a key factor for those looking to connect with neighbors.
- Quiet Environment: The park is consistently described as "quiet," suggesting a peaceful living space, particularly appealing to those who prefer a tranquil setting and the absence of children in the community ("no children").
- Resident-Driven Cleanliness: Despite concerns about management, the fact that "The residents keep the park clean" points to a collective commitment among residents to maintain a pleasant living environment. This self-driven upkeep can foster a strong sense of community pride.
- Green Spaces: The note that "The grass is green now that it's rained!" suggests well-maintained grassy areas, contributing to the park's aesthetic appeal when properly cared for.
- Shuffleboard Amenity: The presence of shuffleboard courts provides a dedicated recreational activity for residents, promoting social interaction and active leisure.
On the other hand, recent reviews highlight a perceived lack of amenities beyond shuffleboard, concerns about inconsistent management (no full-time manager, no maintenance man), difficulty in communication ("don’t respond to your emails," "no one is ever there"), issues with delayed repairs (e.g., busted pipes taking two months to fix), and unaddressed resident concerns including alleged drug dealers and homeless individuals within the park, with police involvement being frequent. Rent increases are also noted. These points underscore the importance of thorough investigation by prospective residents.

Lakeview Mobile Village Reviews
Small park, friendly residents/management, mid-town location, steps to Lake Jackson. The grass is green now that it's rained!
May 30, 2023 · L CarterWas very clean and well taken care of 4 years ago when we moved in. Now new owners, who won’t hire a full time manager . No amenities except shuffleboard. And they have raised our rent . We need a clubhouse! The residents keep the park clean .No maintenance man . It’s quiet, no children…….Just returned for the winter , grass has not been mowed, trees not trimmed . And the home with the drug dealers, and the homeless on bicycles is still here. Owners are aware . Police hear often...
Oct 10, 2023 · Kathy EasterlingIt's quiet, no management in the park. Rent raise every year and nothing in return. No emenities, just shuffle board. They locked the bathrooms at the laundry building. Decent laundry room but $2.50 a load same with dryer. Squatters in empty mobile homes. Drugs. Sad !!!!! Will be moving soon.
Sep 13, 2023 · Mary Ann DeSilvaThey aren't what they advertise. 55 plus community does not allow children. This park does what they want and don't care for their occupied tenants. I really loved it here when I first moved here. But now I regret it. They don't even earn a star from me. I am hoping to find something better in the future Lord willing. I not the only tenant that feels this way. No one cares I guess.
