Jan 21, 2024 · Kathryn EllisonHighly recommend this Park! We placed our camper in the park in May of 2022. Only intended on staying for a couple months. Upon seeing all of the little towns that are connected in this area, we decided to stay six months. We enjoyed every bit of it and are looking forward two returning in 2023. Michael and Jennifer the overseers and managers of the facility are extremely nice and professional at what they do. We're looking forward to coming back and seeking more adventures in the area and attending a couple of fairs that we missed last year. So much to do such an Amphitheater in Alton, festivals and fairs going on constantly throughout the area.
Jan 07, 2023 · Tim SublettI moved into Kickapoo village in April of 2020 right after my uncle Steve sold it to Chip. Two months after we moved in we were told that we didn't pay lot rent and that we had five days to pay it or else we would have to leave our trailer and that the trailer park would get ownership of it. I did pay the lot rent on time. I called Jennifer the owners wife only to be told she lost my check! Fast forward to early January of 2023 when we put an offer on a house. We had to sell our trailer and found a woman who wanted to buy it. Mike the manager wouldn't do her background check whatsoever and neither would Jennifer or chip. For over a month we waited for the background check to be done until finally the girl just couldn't wait anymore and said she didn't want to purchase our trailer anymore because the park isn't cooperating with her. We found another woman to purchase our trailer after we already put our offer on our home. We needed paperwork from the trailer park manager mike stating we had sold our trailer and that we would be leaving it on a certain date and he wouldn't give us the paper we needed. Our lender had to call him and the owners wife so she would send her papers stating that we sold our trailer and would be out by March 15th (leaving date set with the new owners of our trailer) which Jennifer was happy to help her but wouldn't help us either like Mike. The woman that purchased our trailer kept trying to get ahold of mike by phone call and email about paying February and March's lot rent and he wouldn't respond to her emails or calls. Mike didn't even do her background check and neither did Jennifer or Chip. March 7th comes and Mike calls me early at 9:30 a.m. asking if we had moved out of our trailer yet because the last two months of lot hadn't been paid and that if we don't pay them today he would be going into our trailer. I stated the woman that purchased our trailer had been trying to get ahold of you by email and phone call to ask how to pay February and Marches lot rent and that he wouldn't answer her at all or even run her background check. He quickly hangs us calls me back 15 minutes later and states that he was sorry that her background check would be done today (over a month after she purchased our trailer and over a month of trying to get ahold of mike). then he proceeds to finally get ahold of the new owner of our trailer. I do NOT recommend living in this trailer park unless you want to be harassed repeatedly by the manager of the park and want your lot rent lost and to be threatened repeatedly. And before ownership jumps on here and states "we don't see that you ever lived here" I have proof that I lived at lot 59 from April 2020-March 6th 2023. I lived right next to Al the maintenance man. I love my home I live in now and am thankful for the kind lady that was able to purchase my trailer and help me get out of there. I hope they are kinder to her then they were me and my family.
Mar 02, 2024 · Adriel AsburyWe stayed here in the summer of 2019 for 8 months. The community is apparently is under new ownership and they are doing a wonderful job with the park.It is very clean and well kept, The grounds are always well kept and we noticed that there are new street signs and Entry signs being installed as well. Parking can be tough but other than that we would highly recommend this community for long or short term stays. It is a very quite, safe place to call home.
