Homestead RV Community is ideally situated at 10550 Pioneer Rd, Theodore, AL 36582, USA. This location places it in the Mobile metropolitan area, offering excellent accessibility to both coastal attractions and urban conveniences, making it highly advantageous for Alabamians.
The campground benefits from its proximity to major roadways. It's easily accessible from Dauphin Island Parkway, a key route that connects the mainland to Dauphin Island, a popular destination for its beaches, bird sanctuary, and historical sites. For those traveling on Interstate 10 (I-10), a significant east-west interstate spanning the Gulf Coast, the park is just a short drive away, typically accessed via Exit 10 (McDonald Road). This makes Homestead RV Community a convenient stop for cross-state travelers or for those exploring Alabama's beautiful Gulf Coast region.
Despite its access to major roads, the park is described as being in a "quiet" area, reminding guests of a "quiet, country environment." This allows for a peaceful camping experience while still being close enough to essential amenities. Guests highlight the close proximity to grocery stores, banks, convenience stores, and several restaurants, all less than two miles away. This means daily errands are quick and hassle-free.
Beyond immediate conveniences, Homestead RV Community's location offers a gateway to numerous regional attractions. It's close enough to Dauphin Island (around 17 miles) for frequent visits to its bike paths, public beaches, and the Audubon Bird Sanctuary. Bellingrath Gardens and Home, a renowned botanical garden, is also just a short drive away (around 6.5 miles). For those interested in history and urban exploration, downtown Mobile, with its rich heritage, museums, and vibrant waterfront, is approximately 20 miles away, along with the USS Alabama Battleship Park (22 miles). Furthermore, the park's elevation at 24 feet provides protection from storm surges, offering an added layer of peace of mind in a coastal region. This strategic positioning, blending rural tranquility with urban and coastal access, makes Homestead RV Community an exceptionally well-located choice for RVers in Alabama.

Homestead RV Community Reviews
Super clean, quiet park with a beautiful pool. The extra large dog park was perfect for allowing our fur babies to just run around and get out their energy. All items have to stay on concrete pads, including dog fencing and chairs, to keep the grass looking nice (FYI). The massive live oaks by the pond create a gorgeous walking space with ample shade. Perfect place to camp. Close proximity to the grocery store.
Jun 08, 2025 · Cameron CoonHomestead is spacious and very clean. We appreciate all the green space! Our granddaughter loves not only the play set, but also all the room to run and play and a place to safely ride her bike. Homestead is close enough to Dauphin Island we could go frequently to take advantage of their bike paths and Bird Sanctuary. Ed and Monica work hard to keep the park such a nice place to stay. We’ve spent several months there for the past two winters and plan to be back in the fall.
Apr 15, 2025 · Jan Van DrieWe loved this place so much we added it to our 100% return list. The courtesy was great from the beginning of the first phone call, thru reservations and check in and check out. Homestead is beautiful, clean, relaxing, quiet and very enjoyable. My fur babies had a great time in the dog park and I enjoyed a swing by the pond while drinking my coffee. You will not be disappointed staying at this RV park.
May 16, 2025 · Orey RussellHomestead is such a peaceful, quiet and beautiful place to camp. The owners take meticulous care of the pads, lawns and facilities. This campground is super safe 24/7 and walking my dog late at night was not a problem. The owners are quick in responses. We had a very positive experience.
Jun 14, 2025 · Debbie WardFantastic RV campground. Large concrete pads and paved roads. Adequate size swim pool. Very large dog exercise area. Everything neat, clean, well groomed...and reasonably priced. Many full time residents which is a major turnoff at many RV parks....but here, the full time residents don't have that messy appearance. Friendly and responsive owners. We plan to return.
