Based on the contrasting resident reviews, the services offered at Hobe Village Mobile Home Park appear to be a point of significant divergence in resident experience, particularly following a change in ownership/management. Here's a breakdown of reported aspects:
- On-site Management: One review explicitly states, "Both the managers are super helpful and friendly." This indicates a dedicated on-site management team responsible for daily operations, resident interactions, and overall park oversight. However, the other review heavily contradicts the "friendly" aspect, particularly concerning one manager, "Anna," and their eviction policies.
- Basic Site Provisions: As a mobile home park, it inherently offers individual lots with necessary utility hookups (water, sewer, electricity) for residents to place their mobile homes. The functionality and reliability of these basic services are expected.
- Property Environment: One new resident describes the place as "Quiet, peaceful, relaxing." This suggests that the fundamental living environment is conducive to a calm lifestyle, implying effective management of noise and general atmosphere.
- Resident Support (Contrasting Views):
- Positive: The new resident highlights "The staff is super friendly" and managers are "super helpful and friendly," suggesting a supportive and welcoming approach from management for new residents.
- Negative: A long-term resident details an extreme negative experience with "new owner Anna" refusing payment, evicting a hospitalized grandmother from her "home of 45 years," and causing homelessness. This indicates a very harsh and unsupportive approach from management in certain, critical situations.
- Rule Enforcement (Implied): While not explicitly detailed, the dramatic contrast in experiences, particularly the eviction narrative, suggests that management (Anna) is implementing very strict or possibly unforgiving enforcement of park rules or new policies, leading to severe consequences for some residents.
It is crucial for prospective residents to understand that the "services offered" by management may be perceived vastly differently depending on their individual circumstances and interactions, especially during times of significant operational change.
Hobe Village Mobile Home Park presents a duality of features and highlights, reflecting starkly contrasting experiences reported by its residents. Understanding both sides is crucial for any prospective resident:
- Peaceful and Relaxing Environment (Reported by new resident):
- Quiet Atmosphere: One new resident "love it" and describes it as "Quiet, peaceful, relaxing." This suggests that the park's physical environment and general ambiance are conducive to a calm and serene lifestyle, which is a major draw for many seeking mobile home living in Florida.
- Friendly and Helpful Staff/Management (Reported by new resident):
- Approachable Management: The new resident praises the staff and managers as "super friendly" and "super helpful." This indicates a welcoming and supportive front-facing interaction, which can greatly enhance the moving-in and initial living experience.
- Severe Negative Management Practices (Reported by long-term resident):
- Harsh Eviction Policies: A critical highlight (or severe concern) is the reported eviction of a "grandmother out while she was in the hospital," with management refusing payment and taking possession of her "home of 45 years." This indicates an extremely rigid and seemingly unsympathetic approach to tenancy and hardship.
- Lack of Compassion: The incident implies a significant lack of compassion or flexibility from "new owner Anna," leading to severe consequences like homelessness for long-term residents.
- Refusal of Payment: The claim that payment was refused, leading to eviction, suggests potentially aggressive tactics to gain control of properties.
- Impact on Long-Term Residents: This experience highlights a significant risk for existing long-term residents, particularly the elderly, during changes in ownership or management.
- Potential for Instability: Such incidents raise concerns about the stability and security of tenure for all residents, particularly those who have called the park home for many years.
- High Resident Satisfaction (Contrasting Views):
- "Couldn't be more happy": This is the sentiment from a new resident, indicating immediate high satisfaction with the living conditions and management interactions they have experienced.
- "Horrible person" / Homelessness: The complete opposite experience from a long-term resident, expressing severe distress and negative consequences due to management actions.

For Floridians considering Hobe Village Mobile Home Park in Hobe Sound, its suitability hinges entirely on individual priorities and a willingness to navigate a community with reported starkly contrasting resident experiences.
For those prioritizing immediate peace, quiet, and a welcoming initial interaction with staff, particularly as a new resident, Hobe Village might appear suitable. The review stating, "Just moved in to this place, and I love it. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing. Couldn’t be more happy. The staff is super friendly. Both the managers are super helpful and friendly," paints a picture of an ideal, serene environment. For Floridians seeking a calm residential setting in the Hobe Sound area, this aspect could be highly appealing, offering a tranquil escape from busier areas of the state.
However, it is crucial for locals to be fully aware of the severe counter-narrative, which profoundly impacts the park's overall suitability. The detailed account of "new owner Anna" allegedly evicting a hospitalized grandmother from her "home of 45 years," refusing payment, and causing homelessness, presents a deeply troubling picture of management practices. This suggests a potentially aggressive, uncompassionate, and financially impactful approach to resident relations and property acquisition. For Floridians, especially the elderly or those on fixed incomes who value stability, security, and humane treatment, this reported behavior represents a significant red flag and a profound risk to their long-term well-being and housing security.
The contradiction between a "super friendly" initial experience and a "horrible person" causing "stressful situation and heartbreaking thing" for long-term residents means that Hobe Village Mobile Home Park is suitable only for those Floridians who are fully prepared to accept the potential risks associated with such reported management practices. It is imperative that prospective residents conduct exhaustive due diligence, including legal counsel if considering a purchase, and actively seek out diverse perspectives from current and former residents, particularly those who have experienced management changes. Without a thorough understanding of these potential challenges, the initial tranquility reported by some new residents may ultimately mask deeper, more concerning issues for others, making it a suitability that comes with significant caveats for the local Florida population.

Jul 01, 2025 · Sp “Scoop”New management kicked my grandmother out while she was in the hospital, refused our payment and moved into her home of 45 years. Now she’s been homeless for 2 years thanks new owner Anna. You’re a horrible person.
May 12, 2024 · Max McKinleyGrew up here, gets a little better every time I come back to visit. They've got a park for the kids, cleaned up the yards, booted the druggies, and the clubhouse is somewhere you want to be. Wish it was this good under previous management.Keep up the great work, guys
Jan 30, 2021 · Caleb WassonHobe (ho-bay) Village is a quiet little trailer park where I lived for a few months and I still visit a friend who lives there. Improvements are being made with regards to the overall appearance and quality of living there. New landscaping, street lamps and driveways have recently been added and it seems like more improvements are coming.
