For many Floridians, mobile home parks represent a pathway to affordable housing and a close-knit community lifestyle. However, selecting the right park requires careful consideration, especially given the significant investment of time and money involved. This article provides a comprehensive and factual overview of Hobe Sound Mobile Home Park 77, located in Hobe Sound, Florida. Unlike typical promotional content, this piece will also critically examine highly concerning feedback from past residents, providing a balanced perspective essential for any prospective resident or their family in Florida to make an informed decision.
Mobile home parks in Florida are governed by specific state statutes designed to protect both park owners and residents. Understanding these regulations and the experiences of current or former residents is paramount. While this park is situated in a desirable Florida location, the gravity of the allegations presented in public reviews necessitates a thorough and transparent discussion to ensure potential residents are fully aware of the reported challenges.
Hobe Sound Mobile Home Park 77 is located at 11090 SE Federal Hwy, Hobe Sound, FL 33455, USA. Hobe Sound is a charming town on Florida's renowned Treasure Coast, celebrated for its natural beauty, including pristine beaches, nature preserves, and the stunning waters of the Atlantic Ocean and the Indian River Lagoon. The park's position directly on Federal Highway (US-1), a major north-south artery, ensures excellent accessibility for residents and visitors alike.
This strategic location offers practical advantages. Residents have convenient access to a variety of local amenities within Hobe Sound, including grocery stores, a range of dining options, retail shops, and essential services. The area is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, with opportunities for boating, fishing, hiking, and enjoying the numerous state parks and natural areas nearby, such as Jonathan Dickinson State Park and the Hobe Sound Nature Center. For those needing to travel further, US-1 provides straightforward routes to larger urban centers like Jupiter, Palm Beach, and Stuart, ensuring access to broader employment opportunities, healthcare facilities, and entertainment options. Despite the serious concerns raised by former residents, the physical location itself offers the benefits of coastal Florida living.
As a mobile home park, Hobe Sound Mobile Home Park 77 would typically offer a standard range of services to its residents. These services are generally part of the lot rental agreement and are designed to maintain the community and provide essential utilities. Based on common industry practices, and without specific details from the park's official statements, typical services would include:
- Lot Leasing: Providing a leased space for residents to place their mobile homes.
- Community Maintenance: Upkeep of common areas, internal roadways, and landscaping to maintain a presentable environment. This often includes basic groundskeeping and ensuring access to essential infrastructure.
- Utility Connections: Providing hook-ups for water, sewer, and electricity to individual lots. The responsibility for utility bills (whether included in rent or billed separately) would be defined in the lease agreement.
- Trash Collection: Regular waste disposal services for residents.
- On-site Management: General oversight of park operations and a point of contact for resident inquiries and concerns.
- Compliance with Regulations: Adherence to Florida's Chapter 723 Mobile Home Act and relevant Department of Health regulations concerning mobile home parks, which address health, safety, and welfare standards.
Given the limited positive public reviews for Hobe Sound Mobile Home Park 77, it is challenging to list conventional "highlights" in a promotional sense. One brief review mentions that it's a "Nice place to sit back and forget about the rutine. Awesome atmosphere with all the people from around the country. Nice to take walks just around the park and around the neighborhood." This suggests that some residents may have found a positive community atmosphere and a pleasant environment for walks.
However, it is critically important to present the extensive and severe allegations made by other past residents, as these represent major features of their reported experience:
- Allegations of Theft and Perjury: Multiple serious accusations have been made, including claims that the park "stole our home by perjury." A formal letter addressed to the State Attorney's Office of the 19th Judicial Circuit of Florida outlines specific allegations of false sworn statements. These include assertions that the park falsely claimed ownership of a mobile home on Lot 13, misrepresented it as real property despite knowing it was not, and made false statements regarding the defendant's name in a legal case (Case Number 03-713-CC). These are grave accusations that, if true, would indicate criminal misconduct.
- Refusal of Rent Payment and Eviction During Hospitalization: A particularly disturbing account describes the park allegedly refusing rent money from a family member attempting to pay on behalf of an hospitalized grandmother, leading to her eviction and the alleged taking of her trailer. The reviewer explicitly states the park wanted to "move into the trailer which they did," and that their grandmother is now homeless as a result. This suggests extreme callousness and potential violations of tenant protection laws.
- "Horrible Nasty New Management": The reviews specifically point to "Horrible nasty new management bad people." This indicates a breakdown in management-resident relations and a hostile environment.
- Lack of Sympathy and Dishonesty: The management is accused of having "no sympathy" and refusing money for rent, despite it being "in hand." The term "Scammers a true thief!!!" is used, warning others to "avoid this place and shady character like the plague."
- Long-Standing Issues: The claim that a trailer was in the family for 50 years suggests a historical connection to the park, making the alleged actions even more impactful on the long-term residents.
These allegations are severe and indicate a deeply troubled relationship between the park's management and some of its residents. Prospective residents are strongly advised to thoroughly investigate these claims, including reviewing public legal records if available, and to consider the potential risks associated with such an environment. Florida law provides protections for mobile home owners, particularly Chapter 723, which outlines specific reasons and processes for eviction, and addresses disputes over lot rental and property ownership.
For inquiries, or for legal or official bodies to investigate the serious allegations raised, Hobe Sound Mobile Home Park 77 can be reached via the following contact details:

(Note: Based on the nature of the reviews, direct contact may be challenging, and official channels may be more appropriate for addressing serious concerns.)
Evaluating Hobe Sound Mobile Home Park 77 for local Floridians requires a starkly honest assessment, given the overwhelmingly negative and serious allegations presented in recent customer reviews. While its location on Federal Highway in Hobe Sound offers inherent advantages in terms of accessibility and proximity to Florida's desirable coastal amenities, any potential suitability for residents is overshadowed by the grave concerns reported.
The positive mention of a "nice place to sit back" with "awesome atmosphere" and opportunities for walks appears to be a solitary counterpoint to a litany of severe complaints. The accusations of perjury in legal proceedings, wrongful eviction of a hospitalized elderly resident, refusal of rent payment, and descriptions of "horrible nasty new management" as "thieves" and "scammers" paint a picture of an environment where residents' rights and property may be at extreme risk. For any Floridian considering this park, these are not minor inconveniences but fundamental issues that call into question the integrity of the park's management and the safety of one's investment and well-being.
Therefore, based on the publicly available customer feedback, Hobe Sound Mobile Home Park 77, despite its physical location, presents significant red flags that prospective residents should treat with utmost caution. It is crucial for locals to conduct extensive due diligence, including consulting legal counsel familiar with Florida mobile home park law (Chapter 723), verifying the status of any alleged legal actions, and seeking direct, unbiased accounts from current residents, if possible, before even considering this location. The information suggests that this park, as described by those who have lived there, is not a suitable or safe option for mobile home living, and serious risks may be involved.

I to had a bad experiance with hsmhp. They stole our home by perjuryHere is a letter that I'm sending to the state attorneyOffice of the State Attorney19th Judicial Circuit of FloridaSubject: Request to Investigate Perjury - Case Number 03-713-CCDear State Attorney,I am writing to formally request your office to investigate and take action against Hobe Sound Mobile Home Park for committing perjury during an official proceeding related to case number 03-713-CC. As you are aware, there is no statute of limitations on perjury in an official proceeding, and I believe that the actions taken by Hobe Sound Mobile Home Park warrant immediate attention.1. Hobe Sound Mobile Home Park made a knowingly false sworn statement asserting that they owned the property located on Lot 13 at 11090 SE Federal Hwy, Hobe Sound, FL. At the time of this statement, the title to the mobile home was in dispute between Lehi International (the seller and legal title holder) and the buyers, John and Janet Hunsinger, who were attempting to obtain either a refund or the correct title to the tangible property.2. Furthermore, Hobe Sound Mobile Home Park has falsely claimed that the property in question was real property, despite knowing that it was not.3. Additionally, they have made a false statement regarding the name of the defendant involved in this matter.Given the seriousness of these allegations, I urge your office to thoroughly investigate these claims and take appropriate legal action against Hobe Sound Mobile Home Park for their misconduct. I appreciate your attention to this matter and look forward to your prompt response.Thank you

Nov 23, 2018 · Eli RibaIt was horrible I lived there for 11 years.. Noone respects you when I drove in all the kids would get in front of my car so I could drive to my lot... the neighbors would sit on my porch & not even move when I came home. They left something there on the porch & I twisted my ankle. One adult stare at me when he was looking into my living room window. The management kept changing they raised the rent every year. I had a complaint about the neighbors doing drugs & theyour cut a tumor off a dog that they put under. They couldn't do anything about it.My toilets were clog up & they didn't have the time to help me out so my brother had to do it.It's a mess you could never get ahold of anyoneIt was time for me to move. I didn't want to do it but for myself I had to leave to get a peace of mind
