HitchinPost RV Park and Campground Reviews
Nicely maintained RV park. Love the goats, chickens and rabbits. Fascinating conversations with Vonda, when you can capture her attention. (She is a very busy lady...caring for her park.) Easy access off I-10 in Florida panhandle. Level pull-thru sites. They are close together if you are pulling in for just a quick stop. We also enjoyed the many inspirational signs she has posted around RV park. We met friends there and continued our journey West! We will be back...to stay with Vonda.
Mar 31, 2025 · Gina RI can’t say enough wonderful things about this campground. From the amazing ownership, the location, the property, etc. Vanda treats every person like they’re family. Her and her brother do an amazing job of maintaining the campground and taking care of their animals. There’s goats, chickens, a koi pond, two small dog parks, and an area for you to socialize with the goats. There’s a large pond for fishing or paddle boarding and a more secluded smaller pond for fishing. There’s cute little trails amongst the property where we’ve seen deer, and other wildlife. It’s nestled right off of I-10, an hour from PCB, but minutes from awesome state parks and walking trails. Between Chipley & Marianna there is tons to do. We came on a short vacation and ended up staying over 3 months. We’ve had some amazing neighbors, and we’re sad to be leaving, but can’t wait to return.
Mar 03, 2025 · Doug IafolloThis place is a basic RV park with few amenities in the traditional sense, but people and staff are friendly and they have a host of farm animals that make it a unique experience. It is conveniently located right off I-10, but this also means you do hear highway noise if you are in the back row.We stop here almost every year on our trek between Florida and Louisiana, anywhere from a few days to 2 weeks at a time. There is no pool, no clubhouse, etc... It is not a resort. BUT... It is about 45 min from Panama City/At Andrews State Park, 1.25hrs from Destin, and Florida caverns is about 30 min, so it's a very inexpensive place to stay to take day trips to the beach. One thing to note is that it is a very patriotic campground, very military friendly and offers military discounts.
Feb 18, 2025 · S & S RV AdventuresGreat affordable spot for a midway stop into central Florida! We had horrible Verizon service - Tmobile was excellent. Vonda is so kind and truly cares. We extended our stay in the panhandle due to Hurricane Milton. She was flexible and went out of her way to get on site activities for our kids - even though they have their own toys and equipment. We will gladly be back.
Nov 11, 2024 · JenniferMy wife, son and I stayed here from November 2024-April 2025. Vonda is very friendly and easy to get along with. She takes great pride in her park! She keeps it clean and maintained. Milled asphalt on the drive and camping spots. It is full hookup with Wi-Fi. She has 50, 30 and 110 outlets. There goats, chickens and rabbits to visit. The goats was my wife’s favorite! The campers there were friendly and quiet. During our stay we made a few friends and we made good friends with one couple. The park is quiet minus a little road noise from I-10, not too bad tho. If you have any concerns or problems Vonda will do her best to make it right. She has security cameras around the park. We had several things outside and never had anything messed with. I would stay there again and I would recommend anyone to stay there!!
