Highlands Reviews
I have lived there for 15 years it's a pretty good place to live . The rent goes up every year, l think it should be every two to three years. Love the manager Sherri she will work with you.
Apr 18, 2025 · JAN BRANTI have been living here almost 4 years now. The lot rent has been raised by over $200. Maintenance does nothing but mow the common areas & maybe patch some holes in the roads, plowing is questionable & done poorly leaving damaged lawns that they do not repair, does not maintain trees or driveways, refuses to remove fallen limbs from trees - the list continues sadly. Management is a joke. Never returns calls, gives false information especially to get you to move in, lies right to your face, tries to make the resident maintain the concrete driveways & problem trees & refuses to address any issues one may have but will forever tell you she’s taking care of it.The security gates have been broken since I moved in, this was a major concern of mine as I was seeking a gated community, which the park has the ability to be but once again yet another lie from management, I was told it’s being fixed within the next month- still not fixed.Dogs run freely here. Common areas for people to enjoy freely have been turned into an unsupervised & non-gated dog park as residents constantly bring their dogs to the ponds (common areas) & let them run freely- not safe.Constant water line breaks underground causing residents to go without water for a day or several days, then having dirty water for several days after any repair yet no compensation given to residents. Compensation is possible since the park controls the residents water bill but never given. Residents are forced to use their website to pay lot rent - if you pay with a money order they charge you an additional $25 for it.Not senior friendly if you’re on a fixed income as they raise the lot rent annually a significant amount.Bottom line is management/owners are greedy & do not care about anything except your money!!!The potential to do so much better here has definitely been funded by the residents, it would be nice to see some massive improvements like the security gates actually working, roads better maintained, problem trees taken care of, driveways maintained & an actual gated dog park.I do not recommend this park to anyone even though they offer an incentive for residents to do so.
