★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1I will admit, when we pulled up I could not remember booking here (I’ve booked 17 places in the last few months)and was a bit worried. But oh my. What a gem. The more you look the better it gets. The campground is small, so not a ton of traffic. We stayed 5 nights in spot 1 and had a perfect view of the lake, or the hillside depending on which way we turned our chairs. The horses and goats were fun to watch as was the great blue heron fishing on the lake. Beautiful night skies, with the Milky Way in full splendor. There are working dogs around that were super polite with our unemployed pooch. Tiffany and Tommy were fantastic hosts. Incredibly warm and helpful, let us know where the fun spots to hit were, including the restaurant on site. Rigby’s is open Thursday-Sunday and you will not find a more welcoming staff, or local patrons for that matter. Everyone was so kind to our family, not all small communities are so lovely. And as a bonus, the food was DELICIOUS. They have recently added bathroom and shower facilities for the campers which were always clean and stocked and MUCH appreciated. We absolutely would stay here again when we come through…they make you want to find a bit of land here and stay forever. Thanks to all at Gordon Creek!
August 18 · Julie WoodConvenient location right off the main road. But there is not a lot to do here if you are not horse riding. The lake is off limits. They had some goats which were super cool and friendly. Wifi was really slow and kept buffering. The bar/restaurant does pretty good business but we decided to go into Ft Collins for dinner. They do have an RV dump site which Red Feather lakes does not. Overall it was fine but would probably do one of the RV parks in Ft C next time.
September 03 · David GulliverWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Gordon Creek RV Park. Full hookups, picnic table and fire pit at every site. Very quiet and relaxing with wonderful views. The owners, Tommy and Tiffany were super nice folks. We loved watching their border collie herd their goats from place to place in the morning and evening. My dog and I enjoyed hiking the trail that meanders into the hills about an hour out and back. Guided horseback riding is available, as well as Rigby’s Restaurant where Rigby (the dog) wanders to greet visitors during their stay. Super cool folks at the restaurant as well. We extended an extra day since we didn’t want to leave. We had a great time and WILL be back!
September 09 · Lloyd J. SmithTiffany and Tommy, the Gordon Creek RV Park owners, have done an amazing job remodeling the original ranch cabins. They're great hosts! Staying in the sweetheart cabin transported us back in time to when this was a working ranch. It was lovely watching the horses from the cabin and overlooking the pond.
August 26 · Suzanne SmithMy parents RV full time and have had extended stays here two years in a row. We often camp a night or two with them while they are in town. The location is amazing, views are incredible. We love the community camp fire with the HUGE log seating. Such a great alternative to big campgrounds. It's small and intimate and you really feel like you're getting away.
