Glenwood Trailer Park

RV park ★3.0

7041 NE Lombard St, Portland, OR 97218, USA

3.0
It is pretty nice and quiet here, usually, most the annoyances actually come from the neighboring trailer court, which consists of revving engines all night on occasion, someone playing the drums for hours, yelling and occasional loud music. In the summer there is also events at the nearby park which is disturbing the peace, that's temporary. There's been thefts, don't leave anything outside that you care about. One issue is cats, they destroy the eco system and everything you love if it's where they can reach, you most likely won't even be able to have a BBQ without the smell of cat urine and fecal matter attacking the back of your throats and making your eyes water, they get into all of your plants to do their business which ruins the soil and will uproot everything and other property damage, not enough is being done to get rid of them.If you can't stand listening to train horns and fighter jets and sounds from the street, this is a bad place to be in because that never stops unless you have soundproofing. Most residents have built a community where they all work together on projects and needs and they all look out for those who can't defend themselves or need a hand.Only very few people aren't a part of the community and usually it's because they have done it to themselves, by being bitter, falsely snitching, lying, gossiping or feeding feral cats on other people's lots or tweaking, you can't really have a place like this without these types, but it's very mild compared to other places I've been to, just find out who's who and you're golden.Landlord doesn't seem to fully understand the concept of a service animal and isn't open to education, but frequently ignored the rule breaking of the aggressive little dog that even attacked mine to the point I had to be careful around the corner as he refused to keep the dog on a leash. The only MAJOR problem to ever occur within this place is a guy, Al, who started telling everyone that I'm weird and much worse, because I refused to do something with him, he talked to his friend about forcing it to happen, and continued to harass me and others until I moved out, he was so threatening and dishonest that I recorded everything he said about me because he was trying to make it seem that I was making it up. This was actually a traumatic experience and I hope that he has been kicked out for the safety of all women who live here. - Willow W

Glenwood Trailer Park Introduce

Glenwood Trailer Park in Portland, Oregon, is a long-established residential community that offers spaces for both manufactured homes and, historically, long-term RV parking. Situated in the convenient Northeast Portland area, this park provides a critical option for residents seeking an accessible and relatively affordable urban living environment within the high-cost Portland metropolitan area. It’s important for prospective residents to understand that this is an older, urban community where the challenges of city life—noise, close quarters, and occasional security concerns—are balanced by a strong, positive resident culture.

The park is characterized by a significant sense of camaraderie and mutual support. Customer reviews frequently highlight that most residents have built a community where they all work together on projects and needs, and actively look out for each other. This collective spirit is a major strength of the park, creating a supportive network for those who choose to engage. However, like any close-knit community, there are internal dynamics, and navigating relationships with a small number of residents who may be bitter or engage in conflict requires discretion, with most residents finding a comfortable niche by simply understanding the local social landscape.

Choosing to live in Glenwood Trailer Park means accepting an authentic, urban Portland experience. The location is undeniably central, but this comes with the constant sounds of the city, including street noise, occasional nearby train horns, and even fighter jets due to the proximity to air traffic routes. Residents who require absolute quiet will likely find this challenging unless they invest in personal soundproofing measures for their unit. Furthermore, while the community generally remains quiet, occasional noise disturbances from neighboring properties, such as loud music or revving engines, are a recurring, though temporary, issue.

Prospective residents must also be prepared to actively manage their personal space and security. Reports of thefts necessitate that occupants "don't leave anything outside that you care about." This is standard advice for any high-density urban living but is particularly relevant here. Another pervasive, long-standing issue is the large population of feral cats, which, according to resident feedback, poses significant sanitary and environmental challenges, requiring management to enforce stronger solutions to maintain the quality of life on individual lots.

Finally, the park has faced severe, though isolated, concerns regarding resident conduct, specifically instances of harassment and dishonesty by a former resident, which created a traumatic experience for some tenants. While it is hoped that such individuals are removed promptly, this underscores the importance of transparent communication with management regarding safety concerns and the need for all residents to be vigilant and empowered to document harassment if it occurs.
