Whew, where to begin.. we booked this campground for a week and a half by finding it on CampSpot. The photos on CampSpot looked decent enough for us to stay here for that length of time. A few days before our trip, I read some reviews about holes (potholes) which didn’t seem to concerning, but those can definitely be filled in for a better experience pulling your camper in and out of there. The cons: the water pressure is terrible, it’s very difficult to take a shower and feel clean. There is no check in area, so when we arrived, we didn’t know where to go and I had to pull up my reservation and a digital campground map to find our spot. We tried to called, but it went to voicemail and he texted that he was with another customer. He did call back about an hour or so later to see if we got settled in. The spots are pretty small, and you can’t really sit and relax outside. There’s also no fire pit rings or picnic tables (not a huge deal). The campground was easy to find, however, we had to drive 1.5 miles past it in order to turn around and be able to turn in. There’s no turn lane to pull in as there’s a median there. The bathrooms that are there is like a container box that was placed there. I didn’t go in them to see how sanitary they were. The pros: it was easy to find, and it’s pretty close to the coast (about 30 mins). We ended up having to depart after 2 nights due to water issues. The water started having a horrid smell. That mixed with almost zero water pressure was my last straw. I emailed them, and they refunded the remainder of my trip fees. They did give us the option to stay a few days if we needed to in order to find a new campground, which is why I gave this review 2 stars instead of 1. - Ashua Rinck

What truly sets this park apart, according to many long-term guests, is the exceptional service and friendly demeanor of the on-site manager, Carl. His quick responsiveness and helpfulness often turn a functional stay into a genuinely pleasant experience. This park seems to cater to those who prioritize affordability and direct, no-frills camping over extensive amenities. This overview will delve into the specifics of Georgia Coastal RV Park, highlighting its location, practical offerings, and why it remains a solid choice for many Georgians.

Georgia Coastal RV Park is located at 26610 US-82, Waynesville, GA 31566, USA. This address places it conveniently off US-82, a key artery in southeastern Georgia. For Georgia locals, its strategic position offers both accessibility and proximity to significant regional hubs and popular coastal destinations.

While the park is "easy to find," it's important to note the specific access detail: visitors may "have to drive 1.5 miles past it in order to turn around and be able to turn in," due to a median. Planning for this slight maneuver is advisable, especially for larger rigs. However, once you've made the turn, the park is directly accessible. Its location provides an "easy drive from Brunswick," being only about "10 minutes" away, which is incredibly handy for accessing supplies, dining, and the various attractions this coastal city has to offer. Furthermore, the park is "pretty close to the coast (about 30 mins)" of destinations like Jekyll Island and St. Simons Island, two of Georgia's most beautiful Golden Isles. This allows locals to enjoy the peace of a rural setting while still being within comfortable driving distance of beaches, historical sites, and recreational opportunities. The presence of some highway noise is noted, but for many, the convenience and affordability outweigh this minor detail, making it a practical and well-situated choice for your coastal Georgia adventures.
