Floridian Sandalwood in St. Cloud, Florida, presents a nuanced picture for local residents considering a mobile home park. While it boasts several attractive features, it's essential for Floridians to weigh these against some significant concerns raised by others.
From a suitability standpoint for locals, the location of Floridian Sandalwood is a considerable advantage. Its address on Boggy Creek Road in St. Cloud places residents in a growing area that offers a quieter lifestyle compared to the immediate bustle of Orlando, yet it maintains excellent connectivity. Floridians will appreciate the easy access to major roadways that lead to the region's vast amenities. This includes the world-famous theme parks of Orlando, a major draw for both entertainment and employment, typically just a half-hour drive away. The proximity to Orlando International Airport is also a strong benefit for those who travel frequently or have visiting family and friends. Furthermore, St. Cloud itself provides all the necessary local conveniences, such as shopping, dining, and essential services, ensuring residents don't have to venture far for their daily needs. The in-park access to East Lake Tohopekaliga for fishing and boating is a particularly strong draw for Florida residents who enjoy the state's abundant water-based recreation.
The extensive list of amenities at Floridian Sandalwood also makes it highly appealing. The presence of multiple swimming pools (including a heated one), a spa, clubhouse, various sports courts (tennis, basketball, shuffleboard), and a playground means there are diverse recreational opportunities within the community itself. For Floridians, especially those looking for an active retirement or a family-friendly environment with on-site diversions, these amenities contribute significantly to a higher quality of life. The fact that it is a gated community with "no through traffic" also contributes to a sense of security and a "very quiet" atmosphere, which is highly valued by residents seeking peace of mind in their home environment. The long-term resident's glowing review, expressing deep contentment after 12 years and familiarity with RV parks, suggests that for some, this community indeed provides an excellent living experience.
However, it is crucial for local Floridians to acknowledge the stark contrast presented by other reviews. The descriptions of "so much trash and overgrown trees," "clutter on almost every single one of the lots," and overflowing business dumpsters paint a concerning picture regarding cleanliness and maintenance standards. A "trash can" analogy and "not recommending it" are severe criticisms that directly challenge the perception of a well-managed or desirable living space. These issues, if accurate, could negate many of the benefits of the location and amenities, as living in an unkempt environment can significantly impact health, safety, and overall well-being.
In conclusion, while Floridian Sandalwood offers a convenient St. Cloud location with good access to Central Florida's attractions and an impressive array of amenities, prospective local residents must exercise significant caution. The highly contradictory reviews suggest a very inconsistent experience. For any Floridian considering this park, it is absolutely imperative to conduct a thorough personal visit, observing the current state of cleanliness and maintenance across the entire community, not just a curated tour path. Speaking with multiple current residents on-site, if possible, beyond just the management, would provide a more accurate and balanced understanding of the actual living conditions and management responsiveness. While the park's features and location hold appeal, the concerns raised about its upkeep are too serious to overlook when seeking a suitable home in Florida.

Floridian Sandalwood Reviews
I went for a tour and felt like I was entering a trash can! It has so much trash and overgrown trees, not counting all of the clutter on almost every single one of the lots. It is so sad to see that people are ok living like this. Even the business dumpsters, despite having 3 big ones, were all overflowing and trash on the floor. Definitely not recommending it.
Apr 29, 2025 · JC GLAMI have lived at the Floridian for the past 12 years. I love the place and since I am 76 years old I will probably die here. The park is very quiet and since it is a gated community and there is no through traffic going through it. I have been living in an RV for the last 25 years and I am very familiar with RV parks. This is one of the best.
Jan 18, 2025 · Tom SeilerStopped in to visit my sister. Every single time I used the restrooms or shower house there was no toilet paper. My sister has mentioned it to the office who instead of simply handling the situation and doing my her job, she chose to argue about it. Florida administrative code chapter 64E - 15 says that are in fact required to provide toilet paper and a sink with soap or sanitation to clean your hands. My sister also voiced her concerns about the management telling the guests that they will be upping the monthly rent. In the middle of the lease. Absolutely illegal. At the same time, the management telling the office to make the residents aware they will no longer takedebot or credit cards of any kind. Cash or check only. Do what now?!? I hope management reads this and understands. They charge upwards of $1000/month and can't ensure toilet paper?!? GTFOH. $1000/mo, 150 RV spots... You do the math. Smh. Not everyone is desperate for a place to stay. Get over yourselves.
Sep 28, 2024 · Emily ElliottTo be totally fair, and up front ...I don't live here. My experiences here have been short-lived,as I visited sandalwood twice ... to pick up or bring home a coworker, and hang out for a couple hours with them at a time. So I have only seen it during very early morning or in the dark. At night if you don't know where you're going ,the roads are not lit. I use the term roads loosely, they're more like paved trails. So you have to know where you're going. The units are very close together in my opinion and there's quite a few in this lot... it's bigger than it looks. As far as the units go I can only speak for the co-worker that I drop off ...his unit is older than myself, either very late '60s or early '70s. And is very similar to a lot of the trailers that are at this park. There are also lots with RVs, usually class C's on them.My coworker's unit has been well used over the years and is pretty rough around the edges and they're rounded edges if you know what I mean lol. The neighbors are nice enough and if you're a long-termer here, you get to know everybody, and their business which I don't think is unusual. The grounds are not well kept. It all depends on who you're living next to, or the neighbors around you. If they're clean, you have a clean area around you ,if not .....I'm not quite sure when the trash is picked up . My friend that lives there says it all depends on what area you live in and most of the areas could use some friendly litter pickup on a weekend. The rent is pretty cheap in comparison to the upscale ZIP code that surrounds, so it's a good value I suppose... and it is in a great location, pretty central to everything that you need to get to.So as far as value goes, I think it's a great place if you're budget minded for housing, especially in today's world.Would I live here? Honestly ,I think I would if my financial situation and or job situation got to a certain point. Still too early to know how 6staff interacts and works, as My coworker is a new tenant. So time will tell and I will update this post if it's a negative situation... but for now the people at the front desk were very friendly.
Mar 20, 2024 · CHRISTIAN CJust one bad experience after another. They messed up our reservation. Tried putting us in a site where the sewer was backed up. The showers/bathrooms are disgusting and only half work. Then they closed the showers early so we weren’t able to use them when we needed them. The pool was full of hair and bugs. Less than half of the washers and dryers work. The park is very trashy with broken down trailers and junk everywhere. Would not recommend this place at all. The only positive is the office staff is very nice.
