First, I would just like to say that I like to leave positive reviews. I try to resolve issues personally and then brag in the reviews about how the business made things right or not mention it because it was probably a one time occurrence. I don’t like to leave negative reviews. But here we are.Second, this shouldn’t be confused with Eagles Landing. While they are run out of the exact same office and the exact same people. The experience seems to vary wildly. We travel over the southeast for a living. We stay long term (usually 6-8 months each time) and Eagle’s Nest is their long term campground. And it was the worst place we have ever stayed. And, to be fair, it wasn’t any one big issue (except for them holding our almost $700 deposit for a month) but too many little things for it to be okay. I’ll try to keep the con list as concise as possible.1. A $600 regular deposit plus another $100 electrical deposit. We’ve never paid more than $100 anywhere else. Maybe we’re lucky but this seemed outrageous considering the following cons.2. No amenities, besides full hookups. No on-site office. No fire pit. No picnic table. No walking trails. No dog bag stations. Nothing. You’re welcome to get in your car and drive 7 minutes down the road (4.5miles) to use the WiFi/laundry/bathrooms/community spaces at the Eagle’s Landing campground though… So there’s that. When we asked for a picnic table, they told us that the long term spots were for people that enjoy nature and who want to get out and away from it all. Seems like an illogical take when you have no walking trails and trash in the woods, but okay.3. Need someone at the office after you have dove down the road to talk to them? It’s hit or miss whether someone is there. Usually miss. You can call or text them though and they will respond as they can.4. No real storm shelter. Not even at the Eagles Landing campground.5. This isn’t the campground’s fault but it’s still a con: The postal delivery guy is rude and lazy so packages must go to the office, instead of conveniently delivered to the campground you’re staying at.6. Minimum grounds maintenance. Trash in the woods. Trash in the site when we arrived. When we arrived, we all suffered ant bites trying to hookup the RV. The ants were BAD. But the flies were worse. I’ve never seen anything like it. Once it warmed up, the house flies just blanked the ground. You couldn’t open the door without getting them in your camper. And the grass was allowed to get uncomfortably long.7. Lastly when we asked for our deposit back, we did ask if it was possible to get the deposit check sent early. They said no, which was perfectly understandable and per policy. But they seemed annoyed that we even asked. Annoyed to the point to of holding our check out of spite. First we were told the check would be cut the day we pull out. Then when we tried to arrange to pick it up we were told we couldn’t because their accountant wouldn’t cut checks on any day but Thursdays. And then 25 days later, we still hadn’t received our refund. When we brought this to their attention, (a Wednesday btw) they said they said it was conveniently sent out the day before (a Tuesday, SO they COULD send checks out on days other than Thursday). When we got it, the check was dated that Tuesday but the check was postmarked for the day after they claimed it was sent.In closing I feel compelled to share the pros.1. The community there in the long term campground was very nice!2. While my husband felt like the owner of the campground was rude. The staff I corresponded with was very nice. (Which is the only reason they earned more than one star)3. When I saw the tiny trash can they supplied for weekly pickup, I asked for another one and they were kind enough to supply a second.- The pictures I’m attaching are of us leaving. We made sure to leave a clean site for the next camper 🙂 (they mowed for the first time right before we left). - J.M. E.

Eagle's Nest Extended Stay RV Park Introduce

For many Alabamians, the call of the open road is strong, and with it comes the need for comfortable, reliable places to set up a temporary home. Eagle's Nest Extended Stay RV Park, located in Auburn, AL, caters specifically to those seeking longer-term RV accommodations. Unlike traditional campgrounds designed for short recreational visits, Eagle's Nest focuses on providing a stable environment for individuals and families who plan to stay for an extended period, often several months at a time. This makes it a distinct option within Alabama's diverse RV park landscape, serving a unique niche for residents and visitors alike who require more than just a fleeting overnight stop.

Understanding the specific needs of long-term RVers is crucial, and Eagle's Nest aims to meet these by offering dedicated facilities for extended stays. For those working in the area, relocating, or simply enjoying an extended period of travel, having a consistent base is paramount. This RV park endeavors to offer that stability, allowing residents to settle in and make it a temporary home. Its approach is geared towards functionality and providing the essentials for sustained living in an RV, which can be a significant advantage for those whose lifestyle demands a longer-term commitment to a single location.

Eagle's Nest Extended Stay RV Park is conveniently located at 315 Willis Turk Rd, which is also identified as 315 Lee Rd 57, in Auburn, AL 36832, USA. This address places it within the broader Auburn area, a vibrant part of Alabama known for its university town atmosphere and accessibility to various services and amenities. For Alabamians, reaching the park is typically straightforward, as Auburn is well-connected by major state and local roads. This ensures that residents from across the state can easily navigate to the location, making it a viable option for those looking for an extended stay without excessive travel time.

While Eagle's Nest is distinct from Eagle's Landing, both are reportedly managed from the same office. This shared management implies a centralized point of contact, even if the on-site office at Eagle's Nest itself might not be consistently staffed. The accessibility of the park within Auburn means that residents can easily access local grocery stores, medical facilities, entertainment, and other necessities, which is a critical consideration for long-term stays. The location balances a sense of being "away from it all" with practical access to urban conveniences, which is often a key factor for those living in an RV for extended periods.

Eagle's Nest Extended Stay RV Park focuses on providing fundamental services essential for long-term RV living. Based on publicly available information and customer feedback, the core services offered include:

  • Full Hookups: This is a primary feature, offering water, sewer, and electrical connections for RVs. This is crucial for extended stays, allowing residents to live comfortably without needing to frequently relocate for services.
  • Weekly Trash Pickup: To manage waste for long-term residents, a system for regular trash collection is in place, with the provision of small trash cans. It is possible to request additional bins if needed.

It is important for prospective residents to note that the range of amenities beyond these core services is described as limited at Eagle's Nest itself. Features such as on-site offices, fire pits, picnic tables, walking trails, or dog bag stations are not typically provided directly at the Eagle's Nest location. However, residents are reportedly able to access some amenities at the nearby Eagle's Landing campground, which is described as being a short drive (approximately 7 minutes or 4.5 miles) away. These off-site amenities at Eagle's Landing may include:

  • WiFi access.
  • Laundry facilities.
  • Bathrooms.
  • Community spaces.

For communication and support, the park's management can be reached via phone or text, and they aim to respond as they are able. While an on-site office at Eagle's Nest may not be consistently staffed, the availability of remote communication methods is a key service for residents needing assistance.

The distinct features and highlights of Eagle's Nest Extended Stay RV Park are shaped by its focus on long-term residency and the unique operational model it employs:

  • Dedicated Long-Term Stays: This RV park is specifically designed for individuals and families requiring accommodations for several months, setting it apart from many short-term recreational campgrounds in Alabama.
  • Community Among Residents: Despite the limited on-site amenities, there is a consistent positive mention of a "very nice" community among the long-term residents themselves. This internal community spirit can be a significant highlight for those seeking a sense of belonging during their extended stay.
  • Access to Off-Site Amenities: While Eagle's Nest itself is lean on amenities, the reported ability to use facilities at the nearby Eagle's Landing (including WiFi, laundry, and bathrooms) provides essential services, albeit requiring a short drive.
  • Responsive Staff (Via Phone/Text): Although the on-site office presence may be inconsistent, the staff who handle communications via phone or text are described as "very nice" and responsive, which is a crucial feature for addressing resident needs.
  • Full Hookups: The provision of comprehensive utility hookups (water, sewer, electric) is a fundamental and vital feature for the comfort and convenience of long-term RV residents.

It is also important to consider aspects that some might view as limitations for a long-term park. These include the significant deposit requirement, the absence of on-site recreational amenities like fire pits, picnic tables, or walking trails, and the need to drive to a separate location for facilities like laundry and Wi-Fi. Additionally, ground maintenance has been noted as minimal at times, and issues with insects have been reported. For package delivery, it is noted that packages must be sent to the main office rather than directly to the individual RV sites. These points collectively define the specific experience offered at Eagle's Nest, which prioritizes core utilities for extended living over comprehensive on-site recreational facilities.

For those interested in an extended stay at Eagle's Nest Extended Stay RV Park, the primary contact information is as follows:

Address: 315 Willis Turk Rd, 315 Lee Rd 57, Auburn, AL 36832, USA

Phone: (334) 821-8805

Mobile Phone: +1 334-821-8805

It is advisable for prospective residents to use these contact numbers for all inquiries, including availability, current pricing, deposit policies, and details regarding amenities, especially those accessible at the affiliated Eagle's Landing. Given the reports of an often unstaffed on-site office, direct phone communication is likely the most reliable method to get timely responses and accurate information about the park's offerings and any specific requirements for extended stays.

Eagle's Nest Extended Stay RV Park is particularly suitable for Alabamians, especially those in or near the Auburn area, who require a long-term RV solution. Its primary appeal lies in its specific focus on extended stays, providing the fundamental full hookups necessary for comfortable, sustained living in an RV. For individuals or families who are working in the region, attending Auburn University, or simply need a stable base for several months, this park offers a practical solution. Unlike many recreational RV parks, Eagle's Nest is designed for residents who value stability and essential services over extensive on-site amenities, understanding that long-term RV living often involves integrating with the local community for daily needs and recreation.

The reported positive community among residents is a significant draw for locals. In a state known for its Southern hospitality, finding a welcoming peer group within an RV park can greatly enhance the long-term living experience. While amenities are limited on-site, the access to facilities at the nearby Eagle's Landing provides a crucial backup for necessities like laundry and internet access. This pragmatic approach makes Eagle's Nest a realistic and viable option for Alabamians whose lifestyle or work commitments necessitate an extended RV stay, prioritizing the essentials for long-term comfort and a supportive living environment. It offers a unique niche in the Alabama RV park market, serving those who are looking to truly settle in for a while, even if temporarily.
