Eagle Ridge RV Park Introduce
For California travelers and residents seeking an immersive High Sierra experience, Eagle Ridge RV Park presents a popular destination for both short-term camping and long-term residency. Located near the charming town of Graeagle, which is often called the 'Pride of Plumas County,' this RV park and campground provides essential amenities while offering a gateway to some of Northern California’s most spectacular wilderness areas. It combines the convenience of dedicated RV facilities with the beautiful, natural surroundings of the Feather River Country.
The dual nature of the park, catering to both temporary vacationers and long-term residents, creates a unique social environment. On the positive side, a strong sense of community is frequently cited by those who enjoy their stay. One customer beautifully summarizes this feeling, stating, "Such a unique place to call a home during our trips to Graeagle with our young family. All the residents are so neighborly and management is very considerate. It is not just any RV park, it’s a community 💛🌼🦋 the list to get a spot here is impossible. That tells you the kind of place this is." This high demand for spots, suggesting that the park may operate with a low vacancy rate, reinforces its appeal to those who value a friendly and stable neighborhood feel.
However, the park’s management practices and the perceived culture of the long-term community have been the subject of severe, highly concerning public feedback. A resident who attempted to establish long-term housing reported a harrowing experience of sudden and forced relocation. According to the detailed complaint, a family—including a young child—was allegedly told to move with less than a month's notice due to "double booking," despite being full-term tenants. The review further alleges that neighbors were "complaining & unhappy because we have a child," and that the management—specifically naming Mike and Julie—showed discrimination and prejudice against young couples and children. The family was forced to "uproot" and move to another park in Portola, and they even filed a complaint with the police. This extremely critical experience highlights a potential major risk for families and long-term residents regarding stability and the fair application of community policies.
Prospective visitors, especially those considering a long-term stay in the Graeagle area, must weigh the strong desire for this location—evidenced by the park’s low turnover—against the serious accusations of arbitrary and discriminatory management actions. While the natural setting and the neighborly atmosphere praised by some are undeniable assets, the reported lack of tenancy security and alleged prejudice by management are critical factors that require careful personal investigation and confirmation of lease terms and tenant rights before committing to a stay.

### What is Worth Choosing
Eagle Ridge RV Park is worth choosing for the California resident or visitor who values an unbeatable location near Graeagle's attractions and the natural beauty of the Lakes Basin, combined with a generally friendly and established community atmosphere. If your goal is to find a semi-permanent or permanent spot in this highly desirable area, the park’s low turnover suggests a level of contentment that many seek.
However, the decision must be heavily qualified. Choosing Eagle Ridge RV Park means accepting a known, high risk of tenancy instability and alleged management discrimination, particularly if you are a young family with children. The reports of having a fully-paid long-term spot canceled without cause and the specific police report filed against management for alleged prejudice are critically important facts.
In choosing this park, you are prioritizing the exceptional physical location and the often-praised neighborly feel, but you must be prepared to:
- Validate all management promises in writing, especially regarding the length and terms of a long-term stay.
- Conduct a thorough on-site visit and seek out multiple residents to understand the current, real-world living conditions and management interactions.
- Confirm the park’s policies on children and families to protect yourself from alleged discriminatory practices.
Ultimately, Eagle Ridge offers a coveted position in the High Sierra, but prospective guests must ensure that the management's operational ethics align with their expectations for security and fair treatment before joining this exclusive, yet potentially complicated, community.

- DO NOT TRUST THIS HORRIBLE PLACE!!! IF YOU ARE A FEMALE, UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES DO NOT TRUST MIKE THE MANAGER!!!!!!! I MOVED HERE FROM SACRAMENTO FOR LONG TERM. I ENROLLED MY 5 YEAR OLD IN SCHOOL HERE & MY HUSBAND & I GOT JOBS. I LIVED HERE FOR LESS THAN A MONTH & HAD TO UPROOT MY FAMILY TO ANOTHER PARK IN PORTOLA. WHEN I WAS AT WORK I GOT A CALL FROM MIKE SAYING THAT I HAVE TO MOVE JUNE 1st BECAUSE MANAGEMENT ACCIDENTALLY DOUBLE BOOKED THE MONTH OF JUNE, THOUGH WE HAD JUST MOVED HERE IN MAY (EVEN THOUGH I WAS LONG TERM) COME TO FIND OUT FROM ONE OF OUR NEIGHBORS HERE FROM THE PARK IS ON THE BOARD & TOLD ME THAT OTHER NEIGHBORS WERE COMPLAINING & UNHAPPY BECAUSE WE HAVE A CHILD & PUTTING PRESSURE ON MANAGEMENT (THIS IS NOT A SENIOR PARK.) WE WERE FULLY PAID UP & HAD NO WRITTEN COMPLAINTS & BROKEN NO RULES THEREFORE MIKE & HIS SISTER JULIE DISCRIMINATE AGAINST YOUNG COUPLES & CHILDREN & THEY CAN KICK YOU TO THE CURB FOR NO REASON. AND YES WE DID GO TO THE POLICE STATION & FILED A COMPLAINT ON MIKE & JULIE FOR DISCRIMINATION & PREJUDICE. THIS WAS A HORRIBLE FIRST EXPERIENCE MOVING HERE. June 15 · Emily Nicole
- Been here 6 years and this is the most amazing park. It is monthly and long term community. We are blessed to be here. Management is great and the people who stay here are friends and many of them have become family. June 21 · Tonee Picard
- A beautiful quiet park with very nice bathrooms and showers. The manager was very nice to a one night transient. Park mainly has long term residents but very worth it if you can get a spot. Thanks again to eagle ridge for a relaxing one night stay October 13 · Dave Child
- We actually live next door to this RV park, but I have had occasion to ask them for help and give the park a good look. Both the managing couple (forgot their names) and the park are very nice. Many of the spaces have been seriously enhanced by permanent residents/snowbirds. Deer forage around this area with little to no fear, so are a common sight. We are literally just down the road from Historic Johnsville and its Eureka-Plumas mine museum. May 26 · Bartz Johnson
