Deer Ridge RV Park Reviews
The place has just been bought so there is a new owner that is trying to fix everything that isn’t working properly. He has also ended lifetime campers but not long term traveling construction campers( really glad for that😎). It really is a nice place but a bit run down due to the last owners neglect but it’s actually coming back to life. The biggest downside is I believe they are letting Tommy(manager) go from what I hear. Well (miss you brother). They did get rid of all the darn tent and make shift porches which made the place look really undesirable to say the least and making everybody cleanup their nasty lots and making it a rule about the amount of dogs and leaving them outside on a chain unattended. To the new owner congratulations on the purchase and I really hope that it goes great for you there and that the place starts to resemble the vision you have for it!!😎😎😎😎😎
Feb 19, 2025 · David GravenFirst the older man who “manages” the place is sweet but definitely too old to be doing it! Website has nice pics and says they have Wi-Fi, laundry and bathhouse however once we checked in and went to our site we quickly realized that was all a joke!! 90% of the people live there, no cell service, Wi-Fi only works in office, laundry room has 2 “working” washers and when we walked into the bathhouse to check it out the 1 toilet was no working due to plumbing issues, and I honestly wouldn’t have bathed my dogs in the shower! The people are strange and overly friendly. Angry dogs barking and tied up everywhere! A man tried to talk to my 14 year old daughter about her “puppy” (clearly an older dog) and the came walking back by with a 5th of liquor in his hand! It was NOON!!! Cars parked everywhere with busted windows, garbage everywhere including old mattresses propped up by rvs, we immediately left to find cell service to look for a different place to stay! Checked back out within 1 hour of checking in! Never would have slept due to fear of my belongs and o yea MY LIFE! Please do not waste your time nor money especially if you have children!! Even if your desperate just go to Walmart parking lot for the night, it will be cleaner and safer!! Picture is just 1 example my daughter took on our way out of there!!
Nov 16, 2024 · Kelly HaleThe rates at this park are very fair. They have wifi and the water was included. The owner of the park is very friendly and hospitable gentleman, you just don't meet such people like this anymore with professional customer service. They have a laundry facility that was amazing 🤩. The view from the Deer 🦌 Ridge is spectacular while drinking morning coffee ☕ on the provided picnic table. They even have a propane fill station and sell RV parts. All the people we talked to who were there were extremely friendly and polite. This is a great place to set up your camper near the Hiwasssi River and go fishing 🎣. There is also a church near by for Sunday service. I'm now totally at peach and happy at Deer 🦌 Ridge RV park.
Feb 28, 2023 · Tony ZanoskaTommy is one of the nicest people I have ever met and will go above and beyond for you. The RV Park is quiet and maintained. We had great neighbors as well. The only downside is that the wifi rarely works and there's no cell signal which is fine unless there's an emergency.
Jul 29, 2022 · Julie GeeWas looking for a nearby campground for weekends with the grandchildren. Took a drive to check out the place. Didn’t see any open spots. Appears everyone is long term and dug in. Some of the units have obviously been there a very long time. Lots of junk laying around. Too bad. Nice area and convent location otherwise. I can’t imagine how the owner will be able to clean this up any time soon.
