Location and Accessibility
Crooked Creek RV Park is conveniently located at 777 Arvee Ln, West Union, SC 29696, USA. This address places it squarely in Oconee County, a region of South Carolina renowned for its natural beauty, particularly its lakes and mountains. The park's most significant geographical advantage is its direct access to Lake Keowee, one of South Carolina’s most popular and picturesque lakes. While no sites sit directly on the water, there is a communal area near the lake, along with boat ramps and slips, making it an excellent hub for water-based activities.
West Union is a smaller town, offering a quieter atmosphere than some of South Carolina's bustling tourist destinations. However, its location provides a good balance of peaceful retreat and accessibility. Nearby Seneca and Clemson offer additional amenities, including grocery stores, dining options, and local attractions. The area is well-connected by state roads, allowing for relatively easy travel to and from the park. For those coming from other parts of South Carolina, or even neighboring states, the drive to West Union is generally straightforward. While the immediate surroundings are serene, the broader Oconee County area is rich with opportunities for outdoor exploration, from hiking trails in the nearby mountains to waterfall excursions. This blend of lakeside proximity and regional accessibility makes Crooked Creek RV Park a strategic and appealing choice for South Carolinians looking to maximize their outdoor recreational time.

Crooked Creek RV Park Reviews
This campground has nicely sized pull-throughs, with about half on a gentle slope that leads to the lower half, where the area is level. There are zero shade trees, so the feel is more utilitarian than cozy and hot in the summer. High-voltage power lines are adjacent to one side near the boat ramp. No sites sit "on the water" as that area is more of a communal one. They do have nice boat slips, both covered and uncovered for a reasonable price. I see a lot of comments on the staff. I've never had an issue. I think they are just direct, and don't hesitate to inform you of the rules. The bathhouses are quite nice and roomy with great water pressure, and there is a small store by the lake with supplies and snacks. The pool and basketball court are well kept, and there is a small playground beside it. There is also a boat fueling station below the store with easy access.
Jun 17, 2024 · RandyCould use a little tlc. Nice amenities, location is not bad
Jun 30, 2025 · Robert SolesbeeNo rooms. However, the RV pads are very old gravel. All overgrown with weeds and grass. Very few trees. Many of the RV are not well kept. The office is untidy, and one can barely see over the counter with all the old paperwork and boxes in the way. "Grass" was recently cut but not bagged and we tracked dead grass into our the rest of the week.Lots of potential with location on Lake Keowee. However, it's obvious the owners are over their heads with the ability to keep the grounds up to par.No pictures so as not to have the Metadata tracked.
Oct 06, 2024 · Andy ParsonsIf you are looking for a nice shaded place to relax with your family this is not the place for you.Pros: cleanVery nice bathrooms (once we figured out how to get into them)Beautiful view of the lake from certain pointsCons: no trees whatsoever so all day you bake in the sun at your campsiteThe whole campground is a huge steep hill so biking with the kids is not possibleMost sites are a long hike uphill from the waterNot much water access for swimmingUnfriendly personnelNo ground campfires allowed (you must rent a portable firepit at an extra cost)We would never go back again.
Jun 06, 2020 · Melanie MSpots are all pull through and good size. Full hook up. Spots are pretty level, and gravel. They have finally started replacing some of the older picnic tables. Cable and internet are hit or miss. Great location on the lake. Boat ramp is a little steep, but in good shape and wide. Has a small store where you can get Hunts Brother pizza, ice cream, drinks, and a few odds and ends. Pay at the pump gas for boats. Pool is usually open once the weather gets warmer and they even have a kiddie pool There is no way to reserve online, and sometimes it's hard to get someone on the phone, especially in the off season. Stayed there for several years now and really enjoy when we go.
