Comstock Country RV Resort Introduce
For RV enthusiasts and travelers exploring the heart of the Silver State, Carson RV Resort in Carson City, Nevada, provides an outstanding blend of convenience, modern amenities, and secure accommodations. Formerly known as Comstock Country RV Resort, this location has undergone significant redevelopment to become a premier destination for both short-term visits and extended stays. It is strategically positioned to serve as an ideal home base for accessing some of Northern Nevada's most iconic attractions, including the pristine beauty of Lake Tahoe, the bustling energy of Reno, and the historic charm of Virginia City.
The resort caters to a wide range of needs, featuring numerous brand-new sites with full hookups (30/50 Amp), accommodating everything from small campers to large 'big rigs' and offering a few tent sites. While it is located near a busy highway and local commerce, the management team, led by dedicated on-site personnel like Kelly and Colin, is committed to maintaining a clean, well-kept, and secure environment. Feedback from residents who have stayed for several months consistently praises the cleanliness of the facilities and the responsiveness of the staff, noting the park's effort to create a safe atmosphere through a controlled-access gate and security video cameras.
Carson RV Resort prides itself on offering a true "resort" experience, a level of quality that sets it apart from typical RV parks. This commitment is evident in the quality of its modern amenities, which include sparkling clean, tiled restrooms and showers, and two coin-operated, well-maintained laundry facilities. For those traveling with pets—a common feature of the Nevadan RV lifestyle—the resort is notably pet-friendly, even providing a dedicated dog park and daily treats to ensure all members of the family feel welcome. This focus on premium amenities and security makes it a worthy choice for anyone seeking a convenient and comfortable RV experience in the Carson Valley.
The location of Carson RV Resort is one of its biggest assets, offering unparalleled access to both necessary city services and major regional highways.
Address: 5400 S Carson St, Carson City, NV 89701, USA
- Central Carson City Access: The resort is situated on South Carson Street (near US Highway 395), providing immediate and easy access to the main thoroughfare of Carson City. This means shopping centers, restaurants, and other essential services are often within walking distance or a very short drive. A major wholesale club is notably located right behind the park, adding extreme convenience for stocking up.
- Gateway to Northern Nevada: The resort’s proximity to Highway 395 makes it an excellent jumping-off point for exploring the entire Northern Nevada region:- Lake Tahoe: A short, scenic drive to the stunning year-round recreation of the Tahoe Basin.
- Reno: The city is easily accessible for dining, entertainment, and travel connections.
- Virginia City: The historic mining town is a convenient trip away for a dose of Nevada history.

- On-Site Parking: Ample on-site parking is available. However, a key regulation for all guests is that a maximum of one RV/trailer and one vehicle is generally included in the nightly rate, with an extra charge for additional vehicles, which must be registered and parked within the designated site or designated parking area.
- Accessibility Features: The resort is committed to guest convenience and adheres to accessibility standards, including:- Wheelchair accessible entrance to the main office and facilities.

For travelers or long-term residents in Nevada, choosing Carson RV Resort—the former Comstock Country—is a decision rooted in location, security, and quality of amenities. The resort offers some of the most comprehensive and modern facilities in the Carson City area, with a strong focus on cleanliness and safety that is highly valued by its residents. While some urban noise and a detailed fee structure for extra amenities are factors to be aware of, the overall package delivers high value, especially when considering the recent redevelopment and the staff's dedication.
The ability to securely park your RV with full hookups and have a clean laundry room, modern showers, a dedicated dog park, and an outdoor heated pool/spa are strong selling points that justify the "resort" title. Its prime location near Costco and Highway 395 means you minimize travel time for essentials and maximize time spent exploring the treasures of Northern Nevada, from the ski slopes and beaches of Lake Tahoe to the historic attractions within a short, 30-minute radius. ★ 5★ 4★ 3★ 2★ 1- Road noise is horrible. There was always sirens going off and people hot rodding around. The spaces are small. The pool and hot tub were clean and family friendly but need redone badly. It's like sand paper on your feet.My biggest complaint is that they nickel and dime you for every little thing and charge the same rates as the way nicer rv resorts.Anything over 4 heart beats is $75 per heart beat.$25 for an extra carCharged extra for water/sewer and garbageThe daily rate was $46 and our monthly rate was $920 +$50 deposit for electricity then another $60 electric bill. We stayed 5 1/2 weeks. Even though they advertise a way lower price with all their added fees we paid $1100 a month. July 07 · moderndaynomadicfamily
- I stayed here for 4 months and everything was amazing! The location is perfectly located near town & highway access. All the facilities were always clean and depending on spot location there was 2 laundry rooms with plenty of washer & dryers so you never have to wait. The resort is also gated so it’s safe to let the kids run around while having cookouts and such as well!!Sad to have moved but will definitely be returning when we are back in town! - We went to this park about 7 years ago. It has since been completely re-done and significantly improved. First impression is that it is very clean. Sites are relatively wide, power pedestals are new, and everything is well laid out. Most sites are pull throughs -easy in and easy out. All in all a great park. August 30 · Robert Dickinson
- Came to Carson city with a lot of money seeking shelter. I found disrespect. I refuse to ever return to this town August 28 · Jude Swafford
- Travel Nurse here. Sites are small. Enough room for rig and if you park really really tight - 2 trucks and not a whole lot of room for anything else. It's not very quiet with the highways right there, so don't be fooled into any "quiet corners." Our space #64, wasn't very level, and from the looks of it, neither are a lot of the other sites. The laundry facility is clean, and machines periodically will eat your quarters. Dryers are hot! So hot they'll singe your clothes, so watch out if you need to wash something expensive like scrubs. We paid monthly. $1380 a month, to be exact. There's an extra $50 a month in that for an extra vehicle, and electricity is slapped into that charge. We were stupid to pay that amount, but the only pro to accepting it was a lot of the other parks in the general area (Reno) want you to jump through hoops to stay monthly (credit checks, credit requirements, NV residency etc).Plus, they have a gate that shuts at night. And the park is out of the way, so no vagrants to really worry about. Other than the sense of security, I see no other benefit or amenity to justify paying that absurd amount of money.Might as well rent an apartment and store the RV if your willing to take a few extra steps and maybe save a few bucks. We've stayed at dozens of other parks throughout the country, and we're still blown away by how much we paid here.
