Clearwater RV Park Introduce
For RV enthusiasts and those seeking extended stays in Mississippi, finding a suitable and affordable park is often a key consideration. Clearwater RV Park in Carriere, Mississippi, presents itself as a practical option, particularly for those prioritizing budget-friendly rates and a no-frills environment for longer durations. Situated in the tranquil setting of Pearl River County, it offers a basic foundation for your RV, allowing you to settle in without the high costs associated with more amenity-rich resorts.
While every RV park has its unique character, Clearwater RV Park appears to cater to a specific segment of the RV community: those who are comfortable with a more rustic experience and value affordability and a quiet atmosphere over extensive modern amenities or luxury services. It serves as a place to park, connect utilities, and establish a base for your daily activities, whether for work or exploring the surrounding areas of Southeast Mississippi. Understanding its fundamental offerings is crucial for prospective guests to ensure it aligns with their expectations for an RV stay.
Reviews from past guests provide candid insights into the park's operational style and the nature of the stay it offers. These insights are valuable for local Mississippians considering Clearwater RV Park, helping them make an informed decision. This overview aims to present a factual and balanced perspective, focusing on what you can realistically expect from this long-standing RV park in Carriere.
Clearwater RV Park is located at 1505 Ceasar Rd, Carriere, MS 39426, USA. Carriere is a community nestled in Pearl River County, Mississippi, offering a more rural and quiet setting compared to larger metropolitan areas. This location positions the park off of major interstates, providing a sense of escape from constant traffic noise, yet it remains relatively accessible to essential services.
The park is situated approximately five miles from I-59, a significant interstate highway that connects New Orleans, Louisiana, to Birmingham, Alabama, passing through Hattiesburg, Mississippi. This proximity to a major interstate means that while the park itself is set back from heavy traffic, reaching it from longer distances is straightforward via asphalt highways. This makes it convenient for travelers passing through Mississippi or for those needing to commute to nearby towns.
Within a reasonable driving distance from Carriere, residents can access various local amenities in towns like Picayune, including grocery stores, gas stations, dining options, and other retail services necessary for daily living. The rural setting of the park also means it's surrounded by nature, offering opportunities for peaceful walks or enjoying the quiet ambiance of a country setting. While it provides a sense of being "far enough away from outside influences," it is still "minutes from fast food, shopping, stables, golf, theaters, and other points of interest" in the broader region.
Clearwater RV Park offers a core set of services designed for comfortable RV living, particularly for longer stays. These include:
- Full Hookups: Sites are equipped with full hookups, including 30-amp and 50-amp electrical service, water, and sewer connections, which are essential for any RV stay.
- Spacious Sites: The park reportedly has numerous sites capable of accommodating big rigs and offering pull-through options, making setup easier. Some sites may have gravel pads.
- Laundry Facilities: Washer and dryer facilities are available on-site for guest convenience, which is particularly useful for extended stays.
- Restrooms and Showers: Clean restrooms and showers with hot water are provided for guests.
- Wi-Fi Access: Wi-Fi is available, though some reviews indicate that the connectivity might be inconsistent or "sucked."
- Overflow Parking: The park provides overflow parking options.
- Pet-Friendly Policy: Dogs are generally allowed, but must be kept on a leash (no longer than 6 feet), attended at all times, and owners are expected to clean up after them. There are designated pet relief areas.
- Monthly Rates: The park offers competitive monthly rates for long-term residents. One review mentioned $500 per month plus electricity (around $80 for electricity). Official rates state $400 for 30/50 amp sites, water lots $440 with metered electric, and $670 including electric (up to 1300 KW).
- On-site Store/Office: While not extensively detailed, a typical RV park will have an office for check-in, information, and potentially a small store selling basic RV supplies, ice, or other conveniences.
Clearwater RV Park offers a few key features that appeal to its target audience, particularly those seeking a budget-friendly and long-term stay. However, it's important to consider all aspects based on available customer feedback:
- Affordable Long-Term Rates: One of the strongest highlights is its affordability for extended stays, with monthly rates noted as competitive (e.g., $500/month plus electricity). This makes it an attractive option for those on a budget or needing a stable base.
- Quiet Atmosphere (Generally): Despite some mentions of heavy machinery noise during specific periods, the park is generally described as "very quiet," particularly in the back sections, offering a peaceful retreat from bustling areas.
- Natural Surroundings: The park is nestled on gentle rolling hills with live oak and pine trees, providing a country setting with opportunities to observe birds and wildlife, and enjoy clear night skies. There are also two stocked fishing ponds where no license is required, adding a recreational element.
- Basic Amenities Available: It provides essential amenities like laundry facilities, restrooms, and showers, catering to the basic needs of RVers.
- Accessibility to Water Features: The park highlights a "swing by the old waterwheel and ponds" where guests can listen to the "creaks and splashes of the waterwheel" and observe fish and ducks.
- Pet-Friendly: It welcomes pets, which is a key feature for many RVers, with clear rules for responsible pet ownership.
- Potential for Improvement/On-going Development: Some reviews suggest ongoing work (e.g., digging ponds with heavy machinery) and indicate that parts of the park may be unkempt or undergoing improvements. This could be seen as a positive for future development, though a current inconvenience.
- Management Style: Reviews indicate a mixed perception of management, with some finding them friendly and helpful, while others describe interactions as rude or unhelpful, particularly regarding issues like unkempt sites or falling tree branches. This is a crucial consideration for potential residents seeking consistent customer service.

Clearwater RV Park Reviews
The management is rude. We were parked about a week when the owner moved a huge pile of tree limbs and brush pushed to the back of the lot and refused to move it. He was digging ponds with heavy machinery for weeks. What a mess! There’s no activities or amenities that they state on the website as it is quite old and not updated in 14 years! They do have a swing! When you drive around you will see some pretty nasty unkept sites mixed in. A tree branch fell on my truck and dented it, when the management was told of what happened they said they are not responsible and could not guarantee our safety! The tree branches are not trimmed and fell quite often on our place.
Jun 21, 2025 · Sheryll MickelsonNice spot. Very quiet. They do have overflow parking. They have washer and dryers. The wifi sucked. The owner could be nicer. Was quite rude to our neighbor which was an 80 year old man. We got stuck in the mud at his overflow parking lot and asked for his help he didn't say a word to me just rolled his eyes. That's why you get 4 stars from me. Be nicer to the people who stay here... It is a cheap place to stay. 500 a month plus electric which was about $80 bucks. The ducks are annoying! You hear them all day long. Other then that we enjoyed our stay. Thanks for having us!
Mar 21, 2024 · MonicaOur new favorite spot! If you want quiet, real quiet, away from it all with full hookups and well groomed grounds this is your place. It’s not fancy, no playgrounds, splash pads or other amenities just a basic, clean, quiet park. Most of the back section is full timers but the front seems to have more short term visitors and it is near the beautiful pond area that has benches and swings around the perimeter. The owner is super helpful and took us to our site but offered us an open shaded one on the way which we took. He helped us back in, whipped out a tape measure to ensure our slides would clear the hookups and offered a water hose if ours didn’t reach (it did but recommend 50’ of water hose at some sites). There is no traffic, no kids or adults racing around on golf carts with music and lights and the ducks are nice! We asked about a restaurant and were guided to a tiny little place about 2 miles away where pretty much everything is fried (we had catfish, fried pork chops, fried jalapeños) and it was tasty. If you want to get away from it all and feel like it, this is the place. We already made two more reservations!
Jul 06, 2022 · Michael LopezWe really enjoyed our stay. It was very clean and absolutely beautiful. Very helpful staff. Would have really loved the spots to have a little more room and about half of the park is permanent/semi-permanent residents but we will be back again and would recommend to others.
Nov 14, 2021 · Amanda D'Agostino BudyachThis park is out in the country. The roads are okay except for a couple of low hanging branches which we dodged. No matter when I called, the owner always answered the phone - which is a nice surprise. When we pulled in no one was in the office but the owner showed up as soon as we called him (see, he still answered his phone :) ). After checking us in, he led us to our site. Good thing as it was a little hairy with some tight turns and a couple of straggling branches. We had a back in site that was a bit tricky to get into, and the owner helped us get it done. We had to park our car sideways to fit it the spot. The sites and interior roads are gravel. There is a fair amount of grass intrusion into the gravel in the sites, and they could be a bit muddy if it rains. Our site was not level but the levelers were able to handle the job. The utilities are in the back so they are a little far away. Sites are close together and most are seasonally occupied. The WII FI was minimally helpful. Verizon was 4g 1-2 bars. Satellite would work in some sites. There is a nice pond with some ducks, and a farm with horses right next door. Except for the occasional souped up truck, it was pretty quiet. We stayed overnight and would stay again.
