Apr 02, 2019 · Mim HinkelTHIS NEIGHBORHOOD IS A HIDDEN GEM! Located behind the motel 6 off of Sonoma blvd, sandy beach dr. its a mobile/modgual home park. even has a "h.o.a". Its not your average mobile home park or what others call it, "trailer park" the development is a huge circle with two entrances. It has a few courts on each side of the park with homes and I'm not quite sure but I'm sure there is over 100 homes within our community. The management that lives on site is kinda a trip. The wife of the couple is a very sweet older woman. very organized, very professional and will work with you when in need of assistance and is also very much appreciated! The husband well, he's him. The park is very well kept up. A lot of people think its a 50+ community, due to the fact its a lot of older couples living in the community. But there is a mixed generation of ages who live here. There is a pool and a community center at the beginning of the carquinez heights entrance. The landscaping is beautiful. The slot leasing each month is reasonable. I recommend this place for any age to move into if they are looking for a VERY QUIET, VERY CLEAN, and VERY SAFE Community to live at, and to also buy a home in for a reasonable price. They have bingo, they celebrate holidays (thanksgiving dinners, Christmas dinners, easter celebration, memorial day) you name it they do it. The only downside of living here is they are constantly writing you up for the most odd things. For example; your front yard not up kept, your trees being to tall(which the manager will love to happily trim it for you for the low price of $250.00!!!yikes) some really small petty things that aren't worth the extra 50-100 dollars added to your leasing rent each month. All the neighbors are very polite and friendly. everyone says hello to everyone, people walk the whole park every night for exercise and the park even has a mini council who hold meetings and are the ones who put together the events that the park holds.They have a monthly news letter with a calendar, place for neighbors to advertise things, different events that are going on for the month, definitely community oriented and very friendly and nice people. Overall though I recommend this place to live for any age person. its quiet, safe, kept up, clean, and decent price to live at each month. More bang for your buck if you can find a open home for sale. Because this place is such a gem, home owners usually stick around for awhile when they find a place in carquinez heights because of the gem that it is.
