Canyon Trail RV Park Reviews
I lived here for almost 4 years full-time. I absolutely loved it. The only reason why I moved was to be closer to work. It was quiet, clean, and most Importantly, friendly. The girl at the front desk is most helpful in many ways. She would leave my mail where I could get it because I worked long hours. She made sure I knew when I got packages and if my packages weren’t received, she was there to help me find them. I would recommend this place over and over!
Apr 04, 2025 · Shannon McNealWe have been here for a year and 5 months. Brittney the office lady is absolutely amazing. She is very helpful and always helps when we have question or even just to stop in the office always smiling and greets me as soon and I walk in the door. She is always sending out messages when something is going on in the park about if there is bad weather coming and when Temps are gonna drop. The maintenance is always on top of things. The shower and restrooms have been clean and and the laundry area is always clean and the keep the grass cut. Any issues we have had they have gotten back to us asap. We love it here. Only wish is for a pool or something for kids to do but I guess that will be coming at some point. I would 1000% recommend this place. Thank you for always be amazing Brittney and staff.
Apr 03, 2025 · Violet GriswoldManagement is very unprofessional! My wife and I stopped by to see about a space. We spoke with Brittney. After telling her the size of our Jayco travel trailer being 29' and we have a Rav 4 and a chevy Silverado 1/2 ton she suggested space 00 just behind the office. She said it would be perfect and their security camera would over look the back of our trailer. She said the space was $525 a month. I said sounds good! She said we could look at it so we did. The site had plenty of space as I did a measurement to be sure. There would still be a good 8ft from the back of our bumpers to the road. We went back told her looks good there's plenty of room we'll take it. She said they needed a $200 dollar deposit so we did that right then. We filled all the paperwork and were ready to go. We were to move in on the 17th. We gave notice at the park we were at in San Antonio. 4 days before we were to move there she calls and asks about our vehicles so my wife tells her as we did when we were there and she then blames the owners and says they came by and said we wouldn't fit in the spot which was a lie. She gave our site away! If she didn't know when she called what cars we were, how would the owners know they wouldn't fit and she had all this information and said it would work great. So she says she has to move us but it will be a space with more room. I said we'll we would need to see it. I asked if it was the same price, she said yes I'm giving you a discount, making it sound like it was still the same. I right away questioned it and then she says it's $545 I giving you a discount. I said our site you promised us with our deposit is $525 and now you want to charge us more when we were already booked for our spot paperwork done everything. She said yeah I'm giving you a discount like that makes it OK. I said we had our spot booked and deposit paid! Then she say "Well you can look around see what else you find, I could refund your deposit! I said " We booked that site! I said were done here just refund our deposit. She got ticked off and hung on us. The the owners of that rv park really need a professional person who doesn't have problems dealing with the public. All the yelp negative reviews can't be wrong. DO NOT RECOMMEND!
Mar 14, 2025 · JoeI've been living at Canyon Trail RV since August 2024, while juggling single parenthood and continuing my education at Texas State University. The location on the southern tip of San Marcos is incredibly convenient for me—especially with my child attending SMISD. The park itself is peaceful, and the sense of mutual respect among neighbors has been such a blessing. The office staff stands out. They’ve been honest, supportive, and endearing to me and my daughter. They're realists, grounded in integrity, and embody that true Texan charm—asking “how you are”, looking you in the eye, and standing by their word. Sharing my life journey with them has been a privilege, and they've reciprocated with warmth and understanding.Having stayed at all four RV parks in the region, I can confidently say each has its pros and cons. Canyon Trail RV meets my needs at a price I can live with. “It’s all good in neighborhood,” and I can vouch for this considering the time I've spent here. One of the highlights here is the seasonal decoration contest, which adds a bit of fun and makes raising a little one in an alternative housing scenario feel just a little more special. All in all, this park has been a positive experience for me. And no, I haven't run into any motivational speakers living in vans down by the river—though, shoutout to SNL's Chris Farley for the laughs!
