Candy Mountain RV Park Introduce
Hello, Alabama adventurers and RV enthusiasts! Are you searching for a welcoming and well-maintained RV park that truly feels like a home away from home? Let's turn our attention to Candy Mountain RV Park, a rapidly improving destination located in Cottondale, Alabama. For many across our beautiful state, RV parks offer the perfect blend of outdoor freedom, essential amenities, and a chance to connect with fellow travelers, whether for a weekend escape or an extended stay.
An RV park is a dedicated facility designed to accommodate recreational vehicles, providing crucial hookups for electricity (often 30 or 50 amp), fresh water, and sewer connections. Beyond these fundamental services, the best RV parks distinguish themselves through their atmosphere, management, and additional features that enhance the guest experience. They serve as versatile bases for exploring local attractions, providing a comfortable spot for work-related stays, or simply offering a peaceful retreat in nature.
Candy Mountain RV Park stands out significantly due to its recent positive transformation under new ownership and management. Numerous recent reviews enthusiastically praise the "New owners/managers" as "the best," highlighting their daily dedication to improving the park. Guests appreciate the "Friendly neighbors that welcome you in" and note that the park is "looking great" due to the consistent efforts of Greg (the manager, often on his tractor) and Annie (his wife, who makes "everyone feel welcoming and trying to build a small community"). Barry, the maintenance man, also receives recognition for his helpfulness in "doing odd jobs and was weed eating and cleaning up stuff today."
This commitment to improvement and fostering a positive community spirit is evident in the details: "easy back in and spacious sites," the immediate attention to guest needs like changing electrical boxes, and the establishment of a "little hangout spot to cookout and just hang out like a family." While a pool is hoped for in the future, the allowance of campfires and the presence of suitable fishing ponds add to the "camping feel and environment." These elements combine to create a highly inviting and comfortable experience for RVers.
For Alabamians considering their RV adventures or long-term stays, understanding the caliber of a park like Candy Mountain RV Park is invaluable. It’s a place where you're not just renting a spot; you're joining a community that values hospitality, cleanliness, and continuous improvement. This makes it a compelling choice for anyone looking for a reliable and enjoyable RV experience in the Cottondale area.

Candy Mountain RV Park Reviews
I have only been here since August but I love it here. New owners/managers are the best. Friendly neighbors that welcome you in. Greg and Annie work in the park daily, its looking great. No pool yet but hope its coming by next summer. I plan to be here a while. They have set up a little hangout spot to cookout and just hang out like a family.
Apr 19, 2025 · Deborah StephensWe have been here 2 nights now. The old reviews should not even be up here. The park is under new management. Greg is on his tractor daily making things nice and cleaning things up. He immediately used the leaf blower to make our site clean and changed our our box from 50amp to 30amp. His wife Annie is also making everyone feel welcoming and trying to build a small community here to call home. Barry the maintenance man is always helping Greg doing odd jobs and was weed eating and cleaning up stuff today. The ponds are suitable to fish but not to swim. This place is a RV park but has a camping feel and environment. I see many good things to come. They allow campfires.
Oct 31, 2024 · Brittney CrockettVery spacious and beautiful out here. The owner and his assistant are very friendly and will literally give you the shirts off their backs. They patrol and maintain the area really well and they don't allow party's or riff Raff in the park so it's family friendly here. Every interaction with the owner has been above and beyond our greatest expectations and last but not least, their monthly rates are the highest value we've seen. My wife and my kids and I are so happy here and will definitely return whenever we visit family in Tuscaloosa. Side note we drive a 29 ft motorhome and we had plenty of space.
Aug 14, 2018 · Justin watkinsI was passing through and needed a place to sleep and the manager here was so accommodating. He stayed open late till I arrived and led us to our spot. It was dark so it really helped that he led us, we would have never found it on our own! We only stayed one night but the park seemed nice. Large spots, lots of trees, and a pool.
Jul 20, 2021 · J MI see a lot of old comments from when Jerry was still around and running things. It mite have been a fairly uncomfortable place to visit and or live then but in my recent visit I learned Jerry had passed away and that his daughter now runs the park. Its probably twice the size now from back then and its beautiful there. Plan to stay there sometime soon.
