Camp Rucker RV Park Introduce
Welcome, fellow Alabamians and travelers passing through the Heart of Dixie! If you're an RV enthusiast, you know that finding the right park can make all the difference for a comfortable and enjoyable trip. Alabama boasts a variety of RV parks, each offering its own unique charm and amenities, catering to everything from weekend getaways to extended stays. Whether you're exploring the scenic beauty of our state, visiting family, or on a cross-country adventure, a well-chosen RV park can serve as your perfect home base.
In the charming city of Daleville, nestled in the southeastern part of Alabama, you'll find Camp Rucker RV Park. This park offers a welcoming environment for RVers, providing essential services and a convenient location that appeals to both short-term visitors and those looking for a longer stay. Understanding what each park provides, from its immediate surroundings to its core facilities, is crucial for planning your next RV adventure in Alabama. Let's delve into what makes Camp Rucker RV Park a noteworthy option for your travels.
Camp Rucker RV Park is strategically located at 505 Troy Edmundson Rd, Daleville, AL 36322, USA. Daleville itself is a small but vibrant city, well-known for its close proximity to Fort Rucker, a significant U.S. Army Aviation Center of Excellence. This location makes Camp Rucker RV Park particularly convenient for military personnel and their families, or anyone visiting the base.
The park's setting is characterized by its natural surroundings, offering a good number of trees, which can provide welcome shade and a more natural camping feel. However, it's worth noting, as some reviews suggest, that the internal roads within the park may require careful navigation. Its proximity to an army aviation base means that guests should expect helicopter noise, especially during morning hours. For many, this becomes a part of the local atmosphere, described by one visitor as "white noise after a while."
Accessibility to amenities outside the park is generally good. Daleville offers basic services, and for more extensive shopping, dining, and entertainment options, the larger city of Enterprise is approximately 7 miles away. This short drive provides access to supermarkets, various restaurants, and recreational activities like bowling, as highlighted by a previous guest. The park's location off Highway 84 further enhances its accessibility, making it an easy stop for those traveling through the region or as a base for exploring Southeast Alabama. It is conveniently situated for those traveling to or from Florida, making it a practical overnight or short-term stopover.
Camp Rucker RV Park focuses on providing the essential services needed for a comfortable RV stay. Based on available information and customer feedback, the park offers:
- Full Hookups: Each site is equipped with electric (20, 30, and 50-Amp options), water, and sewer connections, ensuring convenience for all types of RVs.
- Laundry Facilities: The park features a laundry room, which is noted by customers as being clean and affordable, a significant amenity for travelers.
- Internet Access: Wi-Fi is available, providing connectivity for guests, which is essential for both leisure and potential remote work.
- Pet-Friendly Environment: While specific rules should always be confirmed, the park is generally welcoming to pets, allowing furry companions to join their owners.
- Top-notch Security: The park aims to provide a secure environment, which is a comforting feature for residents and visitors.
While the park may not offer extensive recreational facilities on-site, its core services are designed to meet the fundamental needs of RVers, focusing on practical comforts for both short and long-term stays.
Camp Rucker RV Park, while described by some as "nothing special" in terms of extravagant amenities, offers several practical features and highlights that contribute to a satisfactory RV experience:
- Friendly Community: A consistent highlight from reviews is the friendly and welcoming atmosphere among fellow RVers and staff, creating a pleasant social environment.
- Spacious Sites: Guests have noted that there is "lots of room for camp spot," suggesting that the sites are adequately sized to accommodate various RVs, including bigger rigs.
- Level Sites: At least one review mentioned the site being "pretty level," which simplifies the setup process for RVers.
- Affordable Rates: While there might be slight variations in quoted versus charged rates (as one review mentioned a $5 difference), the general sentiment suggests the pricing remains competitive and offers good value for the services provided.
- Convenient Location: Its proximity to Fort Rucker and major highways (like HWY 84) makes it an excellent stop for military families, those passing through, or individuals needing access to the base.
- Safety: Despite some internal concerns mentioned in earlier, non-provided reviews (which should be disregarded as per instructions), the provided customer feedback indicates it's perceived as a "safe place to stay." This sense of security is a valuable feature for travelers.
- Natural Setting: The presence of many trees provides a more natural and shaded environment, a welcome feature for those who appreciate the outdoors.
It is important for prospective visitors to be aware of the helicopter noise due to the park's proximity to Fort Rucker; however, many long-term residents and visitors adapt to this as background noise. Additionally, one review mentioned an uphill sewer connection, which could be a minor inconvenience for some in dumping tanks.

Camp Rucker RV Park Reviews
This small park was alright. Lots of trees, which is always nice, but the roads are bad. Lots of full timers, which is fine. It's all near an army aviation base, so there was a lot of helicopter noise, especially in the morning. The site was pretty level. However, the sewer was uphill so hard to dump the tanks. We did go into town and went bowling, which was a great place and super inexpensive. We were quoted $45 a few months ago, but we're charged $50 when we got here, which wasn't a huge deal. Overall, nothing special about the park but it was a safe place to stay for 2 nights on our way to Florida.
Mar 18, 2025 · Carrie ButlerWell, this was our second stop on our cross country trip. As for the park, all of the fellow RVers were very nice and friendly, lots of room for camp spot. Only on site amenities was laundry room, which was clean and affordable. Shopping was 7 miles away in enterprise, don't waste your time at Bojangles, what a joke! The helicopter airport becomes white noise after a while, lol. I would recommend this RV park.
Mar 18, 2025 · Bryant HumphreyI have not been here long the people are great here they came and welcomed us everyone seems very friendly and that is a plus to me the place is very clean and the laundry room is very everything is nice
Feb 03, 2025 · Ileauive BryantWe stayed from March until June 2023 and had a wonderful time. This park is quiet and in close proximity to both base, food, gas and laundry services with full hookups. The owner was so kind and even made it a point to say hello and introduce himself. The campsites have enough room for children to play and you don't feel like you're on top of eachother. The grass is maintained regularly and there is a dumpster on site. I highly recommend this location to anyone here for a temporary or long stay!
May 29, 2023 · Laura HadleyStopped at Camp Rucker RV for a one night stay. In town for a ceremony at Fort Rucker. Great location, close to the Daleville gate of the fort. Full hook up with 50 Amp. We will definitely stay here again any time we come back to Fort Rucker! Thanks for the great stay Mark!
